Really hope you guys aren't forced to change your direction or ideas with the Behringer deal. Ideally, they would just pump money into TC R&D and just let TC do what it does so well. I have 3 TC pedals in my signal chain, and I only run a total of 5 pedals.
I have the original Polytune, and I have to say that all the musicians in the bands that I play are in awe when I strum all the strings and pinpoint the one or ones that are out of tune. Besides that, the strobe mode is the way to go, without a doubt! WELL DONE WITH THIS CLIP-ON, GUYS!!!
Got mine now and it really is superb. By far and away the best tuner I've had. It's very easy to get in tune quickly because the readout is so stable in either mode and doesn't jump around like most do. Well worth the money. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to find your tuning. I used to just rely on my ears but this is superb technology. Take advantage of it, you won't be disappointed. Thanks for this review Captain.
Dammit, did ANYBODY notice the awesome math behind the 1 beer / 0.1mA battery consumption decrease? The guys that succeeded in this task were awarded 700+ beers! :)
I have Had one of these fine clip on Poly Tuners for approximately 4 to 5 weeks they are absolutely wonderful tunes up my guitars to perfection I have also checked the tuning against a top tuner and was spot on I have not come across anything negative to say about this tuner, well done Tore and all the guys that contributed to this project I thank you and a great demo Lee thanks
I use these live with no problems! Love it! It works well enough that I took my pedal tuner off of my nano board and sometimes I can plug straight into the amp with absolutely no pedals. Great stuff
I would never have thought the hound from Game of Thrones would have gone to work for TC Electronics... Ha! That looks really good actually, think I might get one. Excellent pricing, I was expecting a lot more.
well, i just got me the polytune 2 two weeks ago...glad this wasnt out then, the choice would've been pretty hard! but for all those who dont have a decent tuner yet: get one. get a polytune. any kind of polytune. makes everything 10000 times better sounding.
Is there plans to make a mini version? I really love the Planet Waves NS because it's so ridiculously small nobody can see it. It's not even a case of when I'm on stage, the other day a student offered me a tuner when I was using it. :P
Looks cool, but I'd like to see a shootout between a couple of the clip-on tuners and some of the more esteemed pedal/rack tuners. My problem with clip-on tuners is that they always seem to be inaccurate with at least one or two strings, no matter where I put it (my current NS Micro tunes G strings noticeably sharp.) I think a shootout with a few of the more common ones (like this, the NS Micro, Snark), plus some pedal/rack units (Korg, BOSS, PolyTune) etc would be worthwhile. It'd be easy enough to calibrate using a single reference tuner, like the Peterson StrobeHD or something (perhaps one of your techs has a rackmount Peterson they'd entrust with you for a few hours.)
I initially bought this tuner because it turns itself off after a couple minutes. I was killing the batteries on all my other tuners because I'd tune and then forget I'd left them on. One thing I instantly noticed about this tuner is how lightning fast it is to identify a note. It displays the note just about as fast as I can pluck it. Great tuner! But don't let that screw get loose. I lost the screw on my first Polytune clip on. Anyone know how to get a replacement screw?
Please does anyone know, does the tuner have to be right next to the strings on the head? Or can you have it, like in front of you on the bed next to you playing?
Looks like a really cool gadget but im an electric player, I have a TU-2 on my board (like most of us) "main selling point - you can tune without your amp making a noise" - yes but once you click on your TU-2 or whatever, it does exactly the same thing haha. What will sell this to us electric players??
I gave up on TC Electronics after I bought and returned TWO tuners on Amazon. Each tuner had a different factory defect. I can see maybe one defect, but two? That says they don't spend money on quality control. I have better things to do than to keep running back and forth to FedEx to exchange crappy products like this. I read other reviews that said similar things (also that the product doesn't last long - but I didnt have it long enough to find out). We musicians have a hard enough time performing without dealing with manufacturers that don't care about us.
How would it behave in a loud band environment or at gig? Is it possible to tune the guitar when everything is vibrating from volume? Could you tune mid song?
I like clip on tuners and I've settled on another respected brand of tuners that have a very similar design. The poly mode is obviously a big seller here and something that would draw me, but can the poly mode switch for left handers? (IE the bass E on the right of the display and the treble E on the left)
My Snark tunes my instruments and only cost $10.00. The Danes certainly have a high opinion of their work. Interesting that that their paid engineers didn't get the power use down until their wages were supplemented by beer. Not impressed.
It's actually reasonably priced.
Well done TC
PolyTune Clip gets the Andertons treatment! Thanks for the great video guys :)

Anthony Norton What is the Bogner deal?
Merger/acquisition
***** 5 isn't a lot compared to how many some players use.
Anthony Norton Wasn't it a deal with Behringer? Or did I miss something?

I just got mine. This little thing is incredible! The best tuner I've ever had in 40 years of guitar playing. It's worth every penny!

Left you hanging. No high five for the CAP-10.
Some say the Captain is still hanging.
As soon as I heard the price I placed an order and I'm pretty sure it will retire my old Polytune 1. You never cease to amaze TC Electronic!
Just had notification mine has been despatched from Andertons so they must be in stock now. Looking forward to receiving this.
I use these live with no problems! Love it! It works well enough that I took my pedal tuner off of my nano board and sometimes I can plug straight into the amp with absolutely no pedals. Great stuff
One of the best videos I seen from andertons.
How I wish videos like this would have for amps, the sales rep joins in the fun of presenting!
Incredibly well done TC. I ordered mine from Sweetwater today.
Great review. This answered all of my questions. Very well done. I watched all the way through.
that is a damn good bang for the buck, i expected double that
I would never have thought the hound from Game of Thrones would have gone to work for TC Electronics... Ha! That looks really good actually, think I might get one. Excellent pricing, I was expecting a lot more.
I just ordered mine from Amazon here in the States. Looks awesome.
Man...that thing sounds great!
Features I did not know it had. Thanks
The is the first time I've been impressed with a new piece of gear in a while
Ordered one yesterday, looks like a good product.
Very nice review, straight to you, this is just what I was looking for.
I am almost a clip tuner collector for some reason. This is easily the best. Easily.
Hi, have you ever used korg Sledgehammer Pro? Or should I buy Polytune clip? TwT I can't choose.
@@EliMiller-m5w no but it looks good. Being able to tune all the strings at the same time is more valuable though. Poly is amazing.
This looks so good !!
Recharcable polytune will be awesome.

Lee, your playing is great and your videos are funny, but could you please stop interrupting and talking over your guests?
2nd
He's sooooo annoying.
Dayum, just as I'm in the market for a new tuner! Are they in stock now?
Is there plans to make a mini version? I really love the Planet Waves NS because it's so ridiculously small nobody can see it. It's not even a case of when I'm on stage, the other day a student offered me a tuner when I was using it. :P
Danish Guitar Jesus!

i will get some of these!!!
I'm buying when it hits the States. No doubt.
dinosur train
Does it require to "listen" to the guitar (in silence) or can it pick up the vibrations so you can tune in loud situations?
TU-3 - simply the best.
I disagree. Mine broke in the middle of a jazz gig for christ sakes 😂. Boss pedals are not as durable as you'd think
Just bought one!
Hi. Do you know if that tuner works with 7 strings???
Awesome video. Ty.
Getting mine tomorrow 😏
He left you hanging there with that high 5 dude, I hope you pulled his hair off camera 😂
I have 10 such animals at home by different manufacturers. The gyro sold me:-) Where can I get this in Canada?

that would be awsome for a learner
"For every milliamp shaved off the power consumption, you get a beer. They ended up actually..." getting drunk. They got drunk lol
Please does anyone know, does the tuner have to be right next to the strings on the head? Or can you have it, like in front of you on the bed next to you playing?
Damn amazing
Holy s*** I want that jacket!
AkaGoal It's the appropriately named "Jesus Sweat" from Just Junkies: www.justjunkies.dk/collection/ss15.html :)

What does it weigh? I mean, will it make my guitar top-heavy? Will I need a crutch under the headstock to support the heavy beast?
Nice to know Jesus Christ is into guitars..
hahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
But why he has such a strong danish accent?
Yeah his name is Guthrie Govan.
How would it behave in a loud band environment or at gig? Is it possible to tune the guitar when everything is vibrating from volume? Could you tune mid song?
If only the display looked like this in real life
Apart from the price (you selling 😉) , why would you choose the Polytune over the Unitune?
Will it fit my headless Kiesel at the top or old nut location
I like the looks of this tuner but I'd like it better if it used a AAA battery. Even if it made it a little bigger. Kinda like the Korg AW-LT100G.

sold.
will the be in the US market?.........35 euro is 50-ish dollars? thanks for the Vid
boss tu3 FTW!!
How does this tuner compare to the Peterson Stroboclip HD tuner?
Can be used for bass?
I play open-E. Will this thing do the poly check?
And how much?
12 string?
how do i make tune Eb? i change the setting but when i go to tune it just tunes it to standard again
Can it tune low up to A on my 7 string guitar?
I guess Danes don't know 'high five' :-D ...poor Cap
The look he gave to camera shortly after that.
Don't drop it the little on switch on the end shatters inside
shut up and take my money !
Scratch that, just re watched the end
Does any one know if this tuner can be set, to tune a guitar for C Standard ?
Much Appreciated ;)
OMG IT'S TORE FROM TC
dinsuer
trin
I guessed right!!!!!!!!
But can it djent?
nope, but it can chug
TAKE MY MONEY!
Haha I've actually used my tuner to find out what a certain note was
£80.00 on Amazon. Not cheap.
The Hound? ;-)
Ok, I'm off to the bank to exchange my dollars for pounds.
I bet Apple is selling an iTuner....or has a app to make your iPhone an iTuner
he died after this;
you dont leave the captain hanging.....
4:27 REJECTED!
DENIED!
4:28 high 5 fail... Boooo
35 quid? Bargain!
Mario
35 quid is expensive!!
tenodogblu This type of tuner would useally be 70 quid atleast (strobe mode, and that amount of accuracy)...
I didn't realise that Kasper, showing my lack of knowledge! Do you have one mate and are they any good? Take care.
I dont have one, but my mate's got one and its amazing. Buying one when my local store gets them back on stock.
Think I'll give em a go too! In the market for a decent tuner. Keep on plucking my friend!
Cool! Take care, good luck with it!
I have a box full of them. The Peterson is the best. The uneventfully die. They eat battery's by the truck load.
My Snark tunes my instruments and only cost $10.00. The Danes certainly have a high opinion of their work. Interesting that that their paid engineers didn't get the power use down until their wages were supplemented by beer. Not impressed.
Your snark isn’t this accurate
