Here's the thing, I've been a prophecy watcher for years and have been intensely watching since 2015. I know the days are going to get worse as we near the end of Church Age. I read the Word every night to prepare myself. However, I look around me at so-called believers and see they are going about life as usual. They have no deep roots in the Word. They don't see what's coming. This concerns me for my own circle of friends/family as I see they aren't ready for persecution. We, in America, still have it good/comfortable. The church is failing at getting their flock ready for the hard times on the horizon. Thanks for this, Eric Metaxas - much needed!
RIGHT ON BRO! We left our lukewarm church when Coocoovid started because they believed everything the WORLD was telling them. It was nothing but fear and more fear. Through the wilderness of 2020-2022, The Lord led us to a church full of God fearing, Jesus loving, Holy Spirit filled believers who KNOW WHAT'S COMING. So we gather often, pray and Praise even more. Keep the Faith, endure till the end because ITS GONNA BE AWESOME!!! MARANATHA!

The thing that was impressed in me last week, Do not grow weary in well doing!!! Stand firm!!! Ask God for a renewed infusion of the POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!! I can't say this enough, we will not be able to stand against the onslaught of evil and temptations that are coming, and are already here if we are not FULL OF THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST!! If the disciples needed it, if Jesus needed it ,then how much more do we need it in the days that we're living in. Discouragements seems to be on my doorstep when I miss my time communicating with the lord. I call it my "special" time of connection. Im so inquisitive I want to know what's happening so I listen to news reports and get caught up in opinionated logic. I say to myself, it a way to unwind. Lets face reality, missing time alone with the lord is precious time to become refreshed in the true reality of life. I can't really live and survive without his peace, its like no other.

Thank you for this encouragent, I do continue to trust God and his word in the midst of our trials, but it is also good to know we are not the only ones being attacked, and also that you both were honest in saying you are having your own trials but you still keep going. We have been hit on everyside , our grandaughter was diagnosed with Lukemia this summer, she will be in the hospital for a bone marrow transplant over Thanksgiving and Christmas, our prodigal son has told us we can't visit to see our new born grand baby because we don't meet up to his families expectations, tg They are very left leaning. Upon returning from serving at Mario Murillo tent meeting in Colorado my husband has been hit with extreme fatigue and has been unable to work for well over a month, BUT, I know what satan has meant for evil God can bring good out of and I am trusting Him in each of these situation. Thank God He is Faithful!

I had a Roman's 8:28 dream the same month covid broke out...God has even used the whole plan-demic for good to open our eyes and see the exposures all around us! The dream was SO awesome and encouraging...I believe it to this day. People take courage and have hope, our great God and Father will never fail us! Hi Eric, I heard from the Lord in about 2015, after prayer for future direction. It was succinct, clear and at the time seemed somewhat unusual. He said, "Get Gold, Guns, and Seeds." I was like "???Seeds???" Wow seemed outlandish but now, 8 years later...not so much. 😮

I love your show Eric… greatly encouraged!! Have to be honest though that I’ve been going through a period of discouragement, even though I know the Lord and believe His promises. Wow.. “ the worse things get, the better they will get”. That is Romans 8:28!! Lord help my unbelief!!!!
We need to spiritually prepare for persecution like Christians have had to endure off and on for centuries, and not be assuming God is going to rapture the church before that. I think that is a very dangerous assumption and will make Christians in America weak and caught off guard.
The problem is the "Pre-tribute rapture" theory. While the ministers rocked the church to sleep with it. Satan and his forces were gearing up for their time. If the disciples went thru it, if the early Christians went thru it. If Christians around the world are going thru it. Christians in the 12, 13, 14 centuries went thru it. And the Church sat and ignore all the signs that even Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24-25 and has done nothing to prepare for the endtime persecutions that are coming upon us. What makes the American Church think we're going to miss thwe endtimen persecution?
Ive often wondered that exact thought. Even in modern times, Christians sent to hellish gulags in soviet Russia, horrible prisons in China and n Korea and Cuba, but Americans assume if trials are coming it must be the end times and we will be raptured and not have to endure it. Ive often wondered if this is a huge misunderstanding and leading us to great weakness here.

The church/pastors have not taught of the darkness to come. Many believers think that they will just escape the darkness. Read what Jesus said in Mathew 24. Many will leave the faith because of a lack of knowledge. Ask God for wisdom and revelation.
Eric, you said your fellow believers are "fools" if they don't believe the verse that, all things work together for good to those who believe God. I just wonder how that is supposed to encourage them to believe better. Or telling people they are dumb to believe the lies of the enemy. The "dumbness" is blindness or lack of understanding. Couldn't you rather encourage your hearers to believe and why. There is a level of encouragement coming from you, but then there are those words. I'm mature enough , I hope, to be able to look past this and understand what you are trying to get at. And I appreciate much of what you are saying. It just seems you use those words rather loosely. Aside from that, I enjoyed the talk.

Discouragements seems to be on my doorstep when I miss my time communicating with the lord. I call it my "special" time of connection. Im so inquisitive I want to know what's happening so I listen to news reports and get caught up in opinionated logic. I say to myself, it a way to unwind. Lets face reality, missing time alone with the lord is precious time to become refreshed in the true reality of life. I can't really live and survive without his peace, its like no other.

Thank you for this encouragent, I do continue to trust God and his word in the midst of our trials, but it is also good to know we are not the only ones being attacked, and also that you both were honest in saying you are having your own trials but you still keep going.
We have been hit on everyside , our grandaughter was diagnosed with Lukemia this summer, she will be in the hospital for a bone marrow transplant over Thanksgiving and Christmas, our prodigal son has told us we can't visit to see our new born grand baby because we don't meet up to his families expectations, tg

Upon returning from serving at Mario Murillo tent meeting in Colorado my husband has been hit with extreme fatigue and has been unable to work for well over a month, BUT, I know what satan has meant for evil God can bring good out of and I am trusting Him in each of these situation. I had a Roman's 8:28 dream the same month covid broke out...God has even used the whole plan-demic for good to open our eyes and see the exposures all around us! Why aren’t we talking about the soon coming rapture of the church?
We need to spiritually prepare for persecution like Christians have had to endure off and on for centuries, and not be assuming God is going to rapture the church before that. I think that is a very dangerous assumption and will make Christians in America weak and caught off guard.
Tribulation and Persecution PRODUCE holiness in the life of the BELIEVER.
The problem is the "Pre-tribute rapture" theory. While the ministers rocked the church to sleep with it. Satan and his forces were gearing up for their time. If the disciples went thru it, if the early Christians went thru it. If Christians around the world are going thru it. Christians in the 12, 13, 14 centuries went thru it. And the Church sat and ignore all the signs that even Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24-25 and has done nothing to prepare for the endtime persecutions that are coming upon us. What makes the American Church think we're going to miss thwe endtimen persecution?
Ive often wondered that exact thought. Even in modern times, Christians sent to hellish gulags in soviet Russia, horrible prisons in China and n Korea and Cuba, but Americans assume if trials are coming it must be the end times and we will be raptured and not have to endure it. Ive often wondered if this is a huge misunderstanding and leading us to great weakness here.

Pray for the protection of the USA & the protection of God upon Trump! One of the ways in which the enemy will work is to try and eliminate Trump! Pray pray pray for Gods hand of protection upon him!!
The church/pastors have not taught of the darkness to come. Many believers think that they will just escape the darkness. Read what Jesus said in Mathew 24. Many will leave the faith because of a lack of knowledge. Ask God for wisdom and revelation.
Eric, you said your fellow believers are "fools" if they don't believe the verse that, all things work together for good to those who believe God. I just wonder how that is supposed to encourage them to believe better. Or telling people they are dumb to believe the lies of the enemy. The "dumbness" is blindness or lack of understanding. Couldn't you rather encourage your hearers to believe and why. There is a level of encouragement coming from you, but then there are those words.
I'm mature enough , I hope, to be able to look past this and understand what you are trying to get at. And I appreciate much of what you are saying.
It just seems you use those words rather loosely. Aside from that, I enjoyed the talk.
