This is the best interview Eric has done so far; I have watched them all. Some several times. What is unique here is the profundity and simplicity of the discussion which speaks to the common man - of which I am certainly one. Please keep these interviews going. PRAISE GOD FOR WHAT HE IS DOING HERE.

I’m beginning to think it’s arrogance instead of just a personality trait the way he talks over everyone. Wish he’d just shut up (and stop the corny jokes) and let the guests talk!

@@LH-ot5rk - I don't usually listen to Metaxas because he is such a poor interviewer, but I respect James Kearny and wanted to hear him. His video, "How I woke up to the reality of Spiritual Warfare" is one of my favorite videos here.

Eric, carpentry was a large part of Kearny's ministry. The honest details with which he describes his life are oxygen for the soul. Great to see you back on "The Tubes."

Hi -- Would you please post the website J. Kearney referenced? Thank you for this interview; I come a PCA background and was considering switching to Catholicism even though I am not Catholic, but simply b/c they seem to be the only religious organization who addresses these issues mentioned. I also really loved the part about the carpentry experience as "grounding" to balance out being too much in the head. I think about that all time for myself and others and the implications of being 'too much in the head." It was so interesting to hear this from a PCA pastor! Can wait for interview Part II.

He gets to the part (finally), where he has his "saved" experience, and he provides no description of the actual experience. Just glosses over it, like it was a mental exercise, a ritual, not an actual conversion experience in Light. I find fault with protestant Christianity in this regard. No actual mystical revelatory experience, just the belief that because they did the thing that one time, they "got saved". And that that one moment, regardless of how shallow or deep, or imaginary, will grant them immortality. Sorry, no. God requires that you fully integrate with his being, being transformed from above (which is what the correct translation of "born again" means. "Born from above," not Born "again," because these words are so similar in the original language, that even Nicodemus was at first confused. You will not inherit the kingdom of heaven, permanently, until the totality of your being is transformed from above, and this takes daily spiritual devotion for a long time. Reference the commitment and devotion of the highest Catholic mystics, and their lives, or those of the greatest of Yogis. This process takes place incarnation after incarnation. You will not be translated into your eternal nature by simply bending the knee once, and hopefully at least feeling the holy spirit. You will have to sacrifice your entire life and being to God. All that you are. And you will know and feel that this is taking place as your carnal consciousness is displaced with infinite being. You will though if a devoted soul rise to the etheric heaven world between embodiments, as with NDEs, so that you may have a nourishing spiritual respite before reincarnating.
