The singer Anna Murphy can be now found in the band called Cellar Darling which she founded with some of her fellow musicians from Eluveitie. It sounds quite different from this.

Yeah and her voice has way more room to breath in Cellar Darling, if anything it's the focal point of the music really.
My friend's band toured Japan with Cellar Darling and said they are really awesome people
i just discovered this song yesterday as a recommendation and was blown away, it's really good. i noticed if i type song title in search there's live version from few years back but different singer on stage, i'm totally new to this band and gotta check out more of the songs and that cellar darling band, should be interesting 👍

Nice reaction as always, Sabina. This is a good introduction to Eluveitie (El-vay-tee). As others have pointed out, it's their previous singer, Anna. And yes, that chorus is a real earworm! Great scenery in the video too. They integrate those folk instruments so well. The current female singer is Fabienne and if you want to hear some of what she can do, you could maybe try their latest song, 'Exile Of The Gods'. The previous single, 'Aidus' is great too as is an earlier one, 'Rebirth' (my own personal favourite). On those two, not only do you hear Fabienne again, but also the harsh vocals of their male singer Chrigel. Hope you continue with more Eluveitie.
I've been wanting to check out Eluveite but i've had so many great new groups I haven't had a chance, but I couldn't resist when I saw you'd done a reaction. I'm glad I did, they sound amazing and i'm just going to have to find a way to fit them into my already huge list of music i'm listening to lately. Thanks for taking the time to create and share this with us.

Love it. Seen these guys twice so far and they were amazing both times. Seeing them again in Glasgow in a couple of weeks and canny wait. Their music goes from simple folk to face melting folk. This one is catchy folk.

for me their best song always be "Inis Mona" kind of heavy but makes me almost cry. the harpist(?) is main vocalist and he is also multiinstrumentalist
If you like this you'll probably love Omnia. Most songs that you come across by them is great.
Definitely check out Cellar Darling for more recent music from this singer, Anna Murphy. Also Oceans of Slumber have a sensational female vocalist.
Their song Aidus (single from an album to be released in 2023) has a stunning video. I suggest you have a peak this way soon. ;-)

I have seen Eluveitie twice in concert and they sound just as awesome live. I will be seeing Anna's band Cellar Darling in a few weeks when they open for Katatonia.

How ironic and coincidental…I was speaking with a friend of mine in the US this afternoon via face time…he recommended I listen to this particular song..which I did…and then it appears on your channel. So, I’ve listened to it now for a second time. What a great mixture of borderline metal with strong Celtic overtones. For me, it absolutely works on every level. Strangely relaxing despite its pace. Sabina…clearly a strong reaction given its quality and pathos within the lyrics. It’s a yes from me.

Sabina, they get way heavier than this, as well as fully acoustic. Incredibly talented band.

Lovely reaction! As others have mentioned the lead singer, Anna, is no longer with the band. I think there was a difference on the direction of the band and she left with a couple of other band members to form Cellar Darling which is also a great group. Dance is my favorite song of theirs. Eleuveite's current female singer is also quite good but they use a lot more harsh vocals from their male singer which I find quite jaring within folk metal. So while I do enjoy Eluveite's music and Fabienne's vocals, I just tolerate the harsh vocals.

Yes, good job! Great song and maybe more recently the music, yes the music! Nothing bad, but the female vocals are a bit high for me and I think Floor or Simone would do it better :) Anyway - I liked the music and the folk idea, if I may say so, harp and violin - great! 👍🌹💖
