Spent several tour dates as photographer with Eluveitie. Mostly in Switzerland and Germany. They are all pretty nice and "down on earth". I miss this time
The horn-things are called "Carnyx", a wind instrument used by the Celts for ceremonies but also in warfare to incite troops to battle and intimidate opponents and were used between 300 BC and 200 AD. The carnyx were like bronze trumpets with an elongated S shape and were held in a vertical position so that they could be heard over the heads of the participants in battles or ceremonies. The chanting at the beginning of the song is from the Eluveitie song "Caturix" from their accoustic album Evocation II: Pantheon were all songs are sung in Gaulish, the extinct but reconstructed language of the Celts. Caturix was the god of war of the Helvetian Celts and the chants are actually words of encouragement: "Immos nertaci" ("We are strong"), "Immos exobni" ("We are brave"), "Immos rii" ("We are free"), "Immos segi" ("We are bold").
I have been listening to Eluveitie for 12 years now. They have never disappointed. I feel this is their best song. Great reaction. You need some Carnyx and a hurdy-gurdy in your band. It's always cool to experiment with other instruments.
The horns are called Carynx, and the Celtic tribes used to scare the hell out of Roman Legions with those. This was prior to the Bag Pipes (they came via Africa)

Honestly one of the most beautiful songs they have ever made. Made me feel my ancestors pull on me.

Great Reaction! This song is so epic... And Fabienne's "Jodeling"... I love it. Eluveitie

Fabienne is a master of that "Belting on the edge of screaming" thing. Her harsh vocals have gotten a lot better too. (as shown in parts of this song)
Chrigel the front man did the design for this video. He is bloody talented.
Sadly however the cool Hurdy Gurdy woman Michalina Malisz has announced today she's moving on from the band.

He used to play guitar for the band too, pretty sure he still writes the guitar parts and most of the other instruments currently
@@dickmonddickelheimer9452 Yeah he's the brains, but he admits he was not the best guitarist, Jonas is amazing, so Chrigel knows talent
The Best band)
Love this track
lol your faces be like: 😱😲
I wonder when „Pray to the Hunter“ from Saltatio Mortis will make an impact
Hey, I recommend seven, alien, or even crystallize from enemy inside. There's such a great group.
Hoping at some point on the new stuff they let Micha sing too
She is leaving the band 😕
@@kaentiia she is? Ah she's my favorite
@@fredbarnes2600 yeah there were just statement about that in their fb page
