Gosh! He is so fabulous, what a great voice. I did not expect this. His voice and sound has changed so much with age. He has a natural talent, but it is very rare that someone´s voice is so hugely improved in structure and tones, with age. He sounds really great and interesting. Oh boy!

I've been in love with this man for years;(YES I'm a 29yr- married hetero!) he's simply one of the most beautiful 'souls' I've ever seen! He's much underappreciated, but George has some good soul-roots & has risen once more like a Phoenix! His style was & IS just fierce! He was major-BROWS before brows were!) Way-2-GrOw, George!
I have not tired of this song since the first time I heard it. Thirty years ago I never would have believed that Boy George had songs like this locked up inside him. What a giant he has become.
My brother was a meth addict. He killed himself last January. This is the last music video we watched together. After watching the video and listening to the words, he cried and said it made him sad because it described our relationship. That night, I learned that beneath the lies, thievery, and angry words of my drug addicted brother, he still loved me in his own way. Thank you George, for giving me this cherished memory of my brother, Moki Yates.
I am very sorry about your dear brother's demise. I am glad the great Boy George helped. I'd never do meth or any other drug; one of my friends had a meth death in a tragic way I never heard of anyone else having; I'll explain if you wish.

Then she overdosed and died from a secret meth addiction and I feel mortified I apparently unknowingly financed it. But I don't feel right about sounding like I am calling my dead friend a liar when she is not here to further explain herself, and I don't want anyone to cut her down. Have a nice day and stay safe.
@@bobdavis4848 I am so sorry you experienced that. But please don't blame yourself. George said in an an interview with Piers Morgan in 2017 - and it's true - addicts are sneaky. You'll do anything to feed your addiction. Your friend was in a desperate attempt to feed the beast. That isn't cutting her down - it's simply recognizing her addiction was an illness that she couldn't control - and you as a friend who cared for her did not recognize as you don't HAVE that illness yourself. I'm sure she was a wonderful person despite her illness. Please remember her in that way - and don't beat yourself up over the details. If it wasn't you who gave her what she was asking for - she would've gotten it from someone else

Her family shun me and someone else told I am lucky they don't sue me for manslaughter. I did say no the last time she pleaded for more money; if I hadn't, I suppose she may have died sooner. Thanks for your kind words about my friend M.A.F. and her illness. I am not convinced she would have gotten the payments I sent her from someone else if I hadn't sent them; she told me there was no one else to ask. I am not sure how you can be so sure she would have gotten it from someone else when you don't know how much it was. It was $32,600 (total of 6 checks, not counting the overnighting charges). See, you can't know for sure she'd have been able to find another person to give / send her that much, right? Thanks for wanting me to feel better, but at the same time I want to be sure to face logic. I raided my retirement savings and mother's trust distribution, believing her repeatedly assurances I'd get paid back; I was paid back none of it but I'm more upset that she died. I was thinking of my deceased parents who helped the needy, when I sent her the checks. I was wanting to help the needy too in their name, trusting that she would not lie about something so major; after all, she had declared "I'm an honest person!" I forgive the talented Boy George and I forgive M.A.F. my friend, but others have dropped me as a friend because of their disgust with me for defending her and my asking them to not insult her. I posted under Partnership for a Drug Free America commercials on youtube about my story, hoping to help keep others away from drugs; I got some insults in response but I hope I did some good, too. Stay safe and thanks again for your kindness. I am glad to see Jackson Five, Heart etc. in your site!

I was really lucky to see Boy George in Concert at The Sheffield Arena a few years ago and his voice was absolutely amazing, i was so impressed with him and when he hit the high notes i had goosebumps. Boy George belongs to that "Special Club" of singers that have voices that are unique and his voice is certainly a gift.

George really looks good--so healthy, and his skin is in great shape. The masculine look in combination with the over-the-top eye make-up somehow works quite brilliantly.
And the deeper timbre of his voice is perfectly fine--what's most important is how he has maintained that wonderful and expressive ease in his honeyed voice. He always inhabits the songs with such a relaxed and genuine connection. He's not a showy singer, and that is much to his credit. He lets his emotive connection to the material and supremely creamy tone do all the heavy-lifting with the greatest of ease, and it turns the vocals into such an inviting and revealing invitation. That is a very particular kind of gift meets talent and I can think of few other singers who can pull off something similar. Bravo, BG!

I keep playing this song over and over again--in repeat mode! I love it so much! This is such a powerful song performed by Boy George! The lyrics felt so right! This is a perfect soundtrack for my life story and others struggling and battling their own personal demons!

This song hits different than it did 10 yrs ago, pre-addiction. Fast forward 10 years later, as a recovering addict, all I can think is B-George nailed it. The shameful curiosity, the regret, the darkness and detachment from one's self... Everything that comes with the lifestyle, he managed to emphasize in a way most people choose to turn a blind eye to. We aren't bad people, we're hurting, and most of the time, we ARE trying to beat this monster. Whether that's what he meant by this song or not, that is what I took from it and man, is it beautiful. Thank you George.

In the last years I think Boy George has been underrated
The references to George's own family are obvious in the lyrics and the video of this unbelievably beautiful song. It brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. It has nostalgia, sadness, warmth and heart. George is capable of such brilliance. One can tell George hasn't treated life like a dress rehearsal. SMITTENKITTEN glittergirl he is great, was just listening to his duet with Attrell Cordes of Pm Dawn - the difference is huge - he has adopted some american intonations in this song compared to a more nasal tone with straight up english accent on old tracks - oh and he doesn't sound at all feminine on this track (I like all his different sounds!)

No singer sounds like their 19, Over 30 years later. Although I think his voice matches his new CD album perfectly, I was not talking about his voice in my original post here. I was speaking to his style and persona as an artist. Take away the glitz and glamor and yes, he is a great singer. While he was very talented as a singer in the 80's, it was not the music that made him so popular. It was Him. He was one of the most photographed persons in the world in his days with "Culture Club" The public love him and I think that with all the madness he has stood the test of time. His new music is as good as anything he has done in the past. In the videos "King Of Everything" and " My God" it is clear he has gone through a huge transformation since 2005, and I for one wish and hope for him nothing but the best. Both tracks are poignant and creative. It comes through in his performance in the videos that he now has his life together. I say Kudos to Boy George and who cares about the Nay Sayers. The End...
