George not only didn’t like what he had to say, he didn’t understand what he was saying. It could just mean that he’s a much better piano player. Why take it personally? The show is called The Voice, not The Guitarist. And it’s certainly not called The Boy George Diva Hour. Tell me they didn’t hold up the show waiting for him.
He said “no one cares IF I play the guitar” and I feel like he meant no one cares WHEN he plays it…. Like, “people seem to appreciate me more when I play piano compared to guitar”. I dunno, I guess George needed a snickers 🤷🏼♂️.
He says "No one cares if I play guitar" after stating that he can play it. As if defending why he didn't play guitar when he knows how to play it. The reason I say this is because of his intonation. Flat, no emotional inflection when making that comment. Most "artiste" should have some regret NOT being able to engage the audience when playing a guitar. On a side note, totally going to Google George's acceptance rate and why it apparently is low? Is it only because Australian youth think he is a has been? Is Guy Ritchie a superstar in Australia? Internationally, he is just meh. Never heard of the girl, unless that one is Kylie Rowland. A girl band right?
Like others here, I didn’t feel like Daniel was being disrespectful about the guitar when George asked. I firmly belief he meant that people were drawn to him more when he was playing the piano. Yes he can play the guitar but not with the same emotion as the piano. Sadly George didn’t understand him or take the time to aK any follow up questions
Of course that's what he meant but because baby George was feeling insecure about nobody wanting to be on his team to he misread it, or maybe he didn't misread it and he's just a complete narcissist that forgot this isn't the 80's.
And the show must go on! I love how true this statement is. Just because someone is being difficult, everyone else made it work and went on with their job and listened to this young guy. Honestly these are my three favorite judges on here.
I don't think he was being rude maybe he cant play a guitar well and that is why he said that. Boy George just needs to realize it isn't all about him, he took offense to a comment from a guy who must think he plays Piano way better than he could on a guitar. I think he just stated a fact. I play guitar but no one would want to hear my piano playing it just isn't as good.
@@Degorff You said it basically how Daniel said it. Nothing offensive about what it says either that’s why it was weird that George got offended at him for telling him his years of experience playing in the public.
I think boy George was highly emotionally affected. Going from saying he would be the most important person to dropping him and walking out was pretty unprofessional and unstable. But whatevs. This kid is REALLY GOOD. He just needs help and polishing. Such an honest and pure soul.
I feel like the kid meant "when I play guitar, nobody cares, nobody responds to me like when I play piano". I feel like George heard "don't ask me about the guitar, because I don't care." Where he would be substituting "nobody" with "I". At least, that's how I interpret their miscommunication.
I've seen BG perform live a few times he just comes over like an arrogant jerk, he was acting like it there too... He was pissed because the others wanted him badly too. BG thinks he's so damn special. Clearly this lad wasn't like that at all, a nice modest guy. When BG wanted to coach him .. I thought nooooo don't go with him... Whatever you do. BG was being a jerk
I took him saying "noone cares if I play guitar" as him saying while busking, he gets a better response while playing piano. Which would only make sense. His voice works unbelievably with the piano. No disrespect was given.
Yeh he might have but then proceeded to make it all about himself by selfishly walking off, everyone else got what the young man was saying, all except the “ Drama Queen “ 🤬
@@laurendecarlo7559 Because Boy George only sees what he wants. I can't imagine him being empathetic to or giving a rat's ass for anyone else. He's got a lot more control over his voice than most pop stars, I don't know how to explain how talented this kid is, evoking so much emotion isn't easy.
wow I was surprised at George walking off like that. I thought the show was about the new talent that has 90 Sec to make a change in their life with the help of the judges. I hope George came to his senses he is an incredibly talented person and I was surprised at him. The young guy definitely shined even sang an original that was terrific. Best wishes to this young gifted singer song writer.
Daniel sang with humility and passion. Pride, Greed, Envy, Wrath. 4 of the 7 committed within a few seconds. George needs to strive, as do we all. One’s work is never done.
the kid says he can play guitar but connects with the keyboard as does when he plays busking on the streets he felt invisible, Boy remembers his tough days and was triggered emotionally thinking no one cares about Boy's talent or thoughts that confused Kid, had no clue what George was meaning really asking about Who cares about the preference to play Guitar
Have to say...if you just close your eyes and just listen with your ears..you can feel how soulful his voice is....I believe he will go far in life. keep up the good work Daniel and never let others bring you down.
George was rude. The artist was not disrespectful at all. What a shame. I was so touched by the artist playing on the streets for so many years and finally getting recognized. This is what matters. They need to get another Judge!
Absolutely. The artist was anything but disrespectful. George demonstrated both paranoia (that the artist was disrespecting him) and narcissism (that everything is centred on him), and should take time out to address his obvious psychological issues. There's a reason no-one had chosen him up until then.
Totally apart from the fact that this is not his free time.. he’s working, paid to be there, and can’t even withhold from swearing and cursing out the producers who despite his behaviour are still trying to do their job. Truly needs a snack for that BS.
I actually thought Daniel was rude too... He seems to have a shitty personality overall. That does not justify George acting like that when he is actually working and being paid for it.
@@lucidarose613 nothing would interfere with this situation, what the hell could make someone so butt hurt about someone saying people don't recognize him a a guitarist
I definitely was first struck by the irony of the lyrics considering George quite literally decided to walk off job. Though after I separated that incident, I agree that Daniel's original song definitely has a lot of depth and emotion to it. There's a story to hear, and it's bolstered by his choice of musical composition! Very beautiful song he sung!
He acknowledges how nervous this young fella is and then storms off in a snit and whines to the gentleman who chases after him that Dan is “rude” ? He’s a spoiled child who was throwing a tantrum because no one has chosen him yet. Crips. I’d not have chased after him.
you knows he's great when he's brave enough to take his passion to the streets to be judged by regular people in the form of monetary appreciation, and being so humble and patient to keep at it until it pays off
Looks like this will be George's last year on the show, his DIVA is showing. Clearly Daniel meant that in his experience people don't care that he can play the guitar
Daniel even said that in the intro “ nobody cares if I can play the guitar “. I mean he’s 20 yo, obviously nervous as all get out , has 4 people begging him to work with them, he just said what he mentioned earlier. BG took it as being a dismissal and got aggravated.

This is about survival, don't know one care if you walk off a stage. This man has worked hard to get here. Congratulations to him! Daniel, don't let anyone steal your joy! No one! Keep moving!
And it also spoke volumes about Daniel and how entitled he is. He was dismissive and disregarded BG not once, but twice!
How rude
What brilliant talent Daniel, no need for George to try and take limelight again. This boy will go far.
Buuuut he didn't. This is an old clip and no one recognizes the guy auditioning so 🤷♀️
He is a run of the mill “musician”.
Go far ??Mabey in the uS, The rest of the world clearly not.
George is self absorbed
Of course that's what he meant but because baby George was feeling insecure about nobody wanting to be on his team to he misread it, or maybe he didn't misread it and he's just a complete narcissist that forgot this isn't the 80's.
Boy George is disgusting
its not what Boy walked off about..can't blame him, its an industry of all and it was kinda childish of Daniel to say such thing!

He is really talented, great job Daniel.
And the show must go on! I love how true this statement is. Just because someone is being difficult, everyone else made it work and went on with their job and listened to this young guy. Honestly these are my three favorite judges on here.
Right, George made a choice to walk off costing him any chance he had of Daniel choosing him as a coach. It is what it is..

Absolutely agree Joy...
I guess he was also upset because he had no one on his team as yet?? But he shouldn't have walked off like that!

When Boy George asked him if he played guitar, and Daniel said he can, but instead of leaving it at that, he added that no one really cares. As he didn't elaborate on why he thought this way, I think Boy George was looking for some feedback from Daniel, on why he thought this way, when he said, "I do!" The boy is nervous, he's in a stressful situation and as Boy George pointed out, he was more confident behind the piano, but when he stepped out in front, he was more nervous.
