when you take a song to places that the original artist never considered, and the original artist asks your permission to try it your way... that's the ultimate honor of being an artist
Everyone needs a coach someone to guide them in the industry that they can trust and all musicians need voice lessons no matter how good they are and sound they need to learn proper technique so as to not destroy their voice. There is always room for improvement and growth. Even the best of the best have vocal lessons and exercise classes.
It was just tooooo funny how long it took George to realize that the song she was singing was his song. I loved the way that she sung it too. The time that he took to react to it was priceless. I hope that this young lady has much success. 😂😂😂 😉😉😉
You've gotta be kidding, Donna! George was putting on a SERIOUS brave face! The girl has talent, there is a voice there, she just mangled an eighties classic!
I love the fact that George didn't get mad or upset that she took his song and basically, in bluesy sort of way, made it her own, then went up and sang with her!! What a great memory he gave her to tell her grandchildren later on in life!!
Vendulka Wichta is a true artist in every sense of the word. She slowed down, changed, rearranged, added to, played and sang that song to perfection! Wow, that was truly amazing!
I remember when culture club became popular. Boy George made a whole lot of heteroSexual males feel a little funny. But I love their music. Boy George is an icon Of modern music
It is verry funny that you said BJ expression was priceless, because the jerjey ‘ red, white and blue ‘Boy george wear is our Montreal Canadien hockey team the number 31 jersey of our goalie and is name is Carey Price!,

@Ullis Okay okay okay…hold up. I read this comment and immediately I had a question. When you say, “like a boss”. Are you referring to her being able to not only keep her composure but flawlessly harmonize with Boy like a boss when singing with him? OR are you saying that if that had been you in her shoes you would have looked like a sheep, fell over and threw up like a boss? I’m not going to lie…I’m kinda hoping you give zero fu*ks about how you look at any given time and threw up like a boss. Maybe you meant both 🤷🏻♀️🤣🤣🤣
After all hes been through with drugs and stuff his voice has really endured but his 80s vocals are style unique in their own right, and it was more distinctive back then. I miss his higher range in the early 90s but its fine
His voice is great unlike some artists their voice is shot. Just look at Vince Neil of Motley and Axl rose. He definitely kept training his voice throughout the years
I said the same thing to myself! I LOVED the 80's and Boy George's music also and I agree, she made it hers and sung it beautifully! How unique it was, very talented young woman. Hoping you're having a nice day! 😊
Music is and will always be eternal, the old will always be re-made by the new. It isn't always as beautiful as this was, but all the bad changes makes moments like this stand out like stars in the sky.
Everyone knows the original version; however when the author, owner, and singer of the original song comes out personally to do an impromptu duet, that is a hell of a compliment. Furthermore Boy George didn't complain or have animosity, he actually found it different and refreshing. I am sure Boy George will do some good things for such a talented young lady/musician. By the way: to ruffle some feathers please check out The Cardigans cover of Black Sabbath' "Iron Man". Quite, quite different yet they made in their way.
Also if you heard George, for years they played around with the song style in different styles including blues but couldn't get, but this artist figured it out and George himself go down there and tried it out himself in duet and understand the blues composition he was looking for.
I liked it better than the original, because it has a bluesy sound to it, the original was sort of hokey in my opinion, but the 70s were great. Wow that's an old song.
You got it George, his face when he noticed it was his song. And when he sang it with her, her way, was AWESOME!! Kelly helps her make her decision, and George take in the moment be brave NO BAD DECISIONS. I tell my kids that same thing. TAKE IN THE MOMENT! I just love this clip!! Boy George has always been a favorite and to see him so pleasantly surprised by what this girl did with his song is just fantastic!
Those high notes were pitch perfect. As she got louder she kept on key. Amazing. She's probably the best singer in that room and it's surprising Kelly didn't recognize greatness since she's best friends with Beyonce.
The butterflies must've been intense for her as he got out of his chair and approached...So impressed was he that he wanted to sing along with her right at that moment.
This is my mother’s favourite song and she was absolutely stunned when she heard this version she liked myself think it is absolutely fantastic and definitely needs to be released into the charts for everyone to enjoy 🇮🇪💚🤍🧡🇮🇪
Wow.... Just... wow... Literally brought tears to my eyes. I was an 80's child, and Culture Club/Boy George was a large part of the music in my world back then. Still a fan of their music even now. And hearing that song performed in such a soulful manner just about took my breath away. Amazing....
