Pawilikowski is one of the most inspired and exciting directors working today. The way he shoots and creates an atmosphere and tone is unparalleled. I love Cold War but Ida to me his masterwork..one of the most focused and well crafted films I've maybe ever seen

I feel like the Oscars campaign cheapened this film. Pawlikowski is way too intelligent and talented to participate in this circus. Of course I bet it gave him much better opportunities for future projects but watching him having to sell a film that should be obvious to anyone is genius is quite painful

Had the pleasure seeing the movie in Cannes in 2019. Great art
