Is very good, there are so many others who had less recognition than him. Just to mention one, Ollie Halsall. Few people knew, the music critic always ignored him ... he died forgotten by everyone.
Yeah! I saw him live in N, Carolina once I think it was Winston-Salem before Gov't Mule! Great! I now own most of the albums he has in Gov't Mule and some odd and end stuff!
when you realize completely that what you are watching a vid of a performance but you still have to fight the constant urge to applaud such a performance
Warren has stood toe to toe with some of the best and shares the stage well. The way he comes up with all this great material make me imagine that he had a song playing in his head at rehearsal earlier that day, knocked it around a bit and said “OK! Let’s use it tonight. He and his band have the talent to pull that off and make it sound great, too! Much respect from a struggling guitar player. I understand what it means when you say “it’s all about the music”.
I remember seeing Warren at the Poconos blues festival on Big Boulder, lake harmony pa. 199? Very nice Gentleman, been following his career ever since!!!!! PEACE N HEALTH TO ALL
Gosh, I can remember these songs like they were yesterday. Did Mt Jam every year and I was 50ft from him for these. Not sure I agree that Warren is underrated. Doesn't get the air play I guess but anyone that sees Mule remembers all the years with the brothers. I actually met him Nov 23 at a last waltz show at the Cap. Had a 15 min convo about music with him. Could not have been a nicer guy.
Seen Warren like at least 100 times, in all the bands he has been in, the Allmans, Mule, Phil and Friends, The Dead, and the Jerry Garcia Symphonic tribute!! He's the fucking MAN!!
Never knew those Pearl Jam words. Nice transition to song 2. And tying the two together with the bridges. And wah for the solo. Srinkle of 'Dixie'. Then 'Lighter Shade of Pale'. Boy howdy. That's pro
I think they're both great vocalists. Warren definitely is more of a blues guy, and his rendition sounded like blues. No doubt, this is and will always be Chris's. Chris and TOD were a once in a generation thing.
Can't pass this one up! Maybe... Does that mean He is a descendant of Adam? Not too many people know that Adam was created on the 8th day. Guess that goes against the apple and them being the first two people.... But then again... Maybe that's why we love the music! It don't lie
He screwed the lyrics up big time!.... But it's on the table, the fire's cookin' And they're farmin' babies, while the slaves are all workin' Blood is on the table and the mouths are all chokin' But I'm goin' hungry, yeah. Love Warren!....seen him half dozen times with Mule, Solo, A.Bro's he has soooooo many songs in his catalog!!
Dude, that just goes to show you that you don't know shit about Donald Trump...he's fed more homeless people than any 20 millionaires...I worked construction on a couple of his projects and I got to know a good bit about him...he's nothing like what you'd expect in person...I don't kiss his ass and I don't agree with everything he does, but I would bet my right nut that goes for you too...
@@jazzymatt77 I was a bit under the influence of some flower that my 'ol lady grows in her greenhouse...no worries...I really wish he would run again...either that or DeSantis with Donny behind the curtain...wouldn't THAT blow some minds 😏
@@sykwookiee Haha that's awesome, ol Cuomo legalized weed in NY before he resigned, and yes Donny is determined to get it in 2024. Kinda crazy because if i were a billionaire I wouldnt ever wear pants again, this guy in his 70's puts on a suit everyday and wants to work.
This dude is the most underrated musician in modern history.
I think he likes it that way but he's certainly not underrated in the jam band scene everyone pretty much knows he's the man
Is very good, there are so many others who had less recognition than him. Just to mention one, Ollie Halsall. Few people knew, the music critic always ignored him ... he died forgotten by everyone.
Right? No one else's playing touches me like Warren's does. It makes my soul truly shine!
Yeah! I saw him live in N, Carolina once I think it was Winston-Salem before Gov't Mule! Great! I now own most of the albums he has in Gov't Mule and some odd and end stuff!
Soul shine?! I see what you did there! LOL
if i had to pick one guy to redo a song, its this guy hands down.Warren is a musical powerhouse
when you realize completely that what you are watching a vid of a performance but you still have to fight the constant urge to applaud such a performance

Good golly miss molly ! What a joy to hear that lead riff Wang and squeal kabong blues style oooouuuuuah
Thanks to Warren Haynes and the boys for keeping the old music alive !
Keeps us alive too.
Warren is the man. He always adds his own flair when paying tribute to other musicians when covering their tunes
I remember seeing Warren at the Poconos blues festival on Big Boulder, lake harmony pa. 199? Very nice Gentleman, been following his career ever since!!!!! PEACE N HEALTH TO ALL
Oh dear “Dear Mr Fantasy”. Wow flashbacks of good ness.

Pure Genius... The mix of these 2 songs are downright awesome. More of this is what the world needs today.
this guys repertoir is amazing
That's seriously the best thing I've heard in a really long time. I'd love to see these guys live.
Got my tickets for Red Rocks this summer.
Got mine for Portland, ME, and cannot wait to see this new tour. It will be the 5th time I have seen GM and they never disappoint.
Seen Warren like at least 100 times, in all the bands he has been in, the Allmans, Mule, Phil and Friends, The Dead, and the Jerry Garcia Symphonic tribute!! He's the fucking MAN!!
Terry I can honestly say Gov't Mule is by far one of the best concerts I've ever seen!
The way they put Blind Man In The Dark throughout the two songs is incredible!
Love when they go back into Hunger Strike, favorite part of an amazing couple of covers!!
This song is genius on so many levels ☘
The mule rules!! Rock royalty!! A friend to many!!
look at the guy dancing off the side of the stage. Pretty sure he showed up for a Dead show in '73 and never left :) :) :)
I think that's Jimmy Herring, their lead guitarist.
I think I love him
I suggest you look into Widespred Panic
one of the best-mixed rock concert videos I've ever heard
E' incredibile, ma Warren quante canzoni conosce !!!! il migliore con la migliore delle band....
welp, my jaw just hit the floor..................Warren Haynes is the man........
Mr. Warren Haynes. If there is another musician out there that "feels" the music like he does bring him/her on.
Ifit Fitz his prodigy!!!! MARCUS KING !!!!! 21 year old FULLL OF SOUL!
Is there any song Warren can't play? I don't think there is...And what a great job.
Powerhouse mule breaking it down.
I normally loath covers as they rarely stand up to the orignals, the Mule is the exception
Tedeschi Trucks Band are the exception, as well, I would say.
+Nancy Dryden i can agree to taht
+Nancy Dryden that*
i'll agree. i never thought i'd see the day where anything's comparable to a Vedder/Cornell duet
Two of the best bands around, Derek and Warren playing together is the shit, really miss the Allmans!!
Mule my life forever!
Power to the Mule
Great vocal
Well shot camera work
Nice pro shot
warren!
John McMinn yeppers . the aura of Warren is amazing in the close ups

Mule !!!.my Union Electrician Brothers favorite
Guitar skills are amazing
Sensacional !!!!
gotta like the hippie brother left of stage (beginning of Fantasy) and close ups of Warren's face bellowing out peace love & music
I’m guessing most of the young people in the Audience have never heard this song before...
I first heard Mr Fantasy in a movie a couple of years ago...great song.
Never knew those Pearl Jam words. Nice transition to song 2. And tying the two together with the bridges. And wah for the solo. Srinkle of 'Dixie'. Then 'Lighter Shade of Pale'. Boy howdy. That's pro
Warren could sing a telephone directory and make it great
Chills
Mule!!!!!!
Amen indeed.
Nobody makes a Les Paul sing like Warren Haynes...period.
Fuckin outstanding!!!
very good
waiting on a late september date---tickets in hand
Timothy Horton
Tickets for April. Can't wait!
Sept 24th can't come quick enough.
Mike Bloomfield & Al Kooper on their álbum Live Adventures is the definitive cover Dear Mr Fantasy ... Warren Haynes .
ahhhh
Warren can cover anything a put his own great twist on it
Drive On, Bad ass!
I love Warren. Also love this song (hunger strike) but man, Chris Cornell was 1 of a kind. I don't know if anyone can do his vocals justice.
I think they're both great vocalists. Warren definitely is more of a blues guy, and his rendition sounded like blues. No doubt, this is and will always be Chris's. Chris and TOD were a once in a generation thing.
Cornell had a voice beyond his years. He quite literally killed it though. Not meant as a joke, we are all worse off without it.
Cornell at 22 or 23 ish. Temple of the Dog record. He evolved over the years. That high register Cornell was getting up into was other worldly
My favorite version of this tune is on the Traffic album Welcome to the Canteen , although the production on the album was not very good .
And on the 8th day (S)He created Warren Haynes. And it was good. Amen.
Jason Hardin
Amen

anyone catch the Dukes Of Hazard tease at 7:46
You mean Ol' Dixie don't you?
Definitely Ol' Dixie!!
Yep,but I can't "look away,look away,look away'
Eddard Stark on drums
Warren Haynes is the Man!
Nice add in the middle of the song.
The greatest cover band of all time, absolute magic
Cover band? Covering songs in your setlist is much different than being a cover band. See the Grateful Dead...
Haynes is epic like Cocker.
🤘🤘🤘
cool! he should cover eddie vedder's stuff more, his vocald range suits him quite well
LeonardMcrendall -I totally agree😎🎉 🕶 He's So talented , he cud Pull it Off 🤔👈🎉 🙃 🙏🏼 💀💕

MR. HAYNES... IS ORIGINAL ... BELONGS TO OUR SOULS... & FEELINGS 🗿
Nobody covers like Warren... NOBODY!
Warren rocks
Is there anything this Man cannot play 🙃✌️🤗
Hunger strike needed a different second verse so badly.
warren my tears love you and me! fuck you all that can't see the beauty we live in
🎸🎸✌🍺🍺🇺🇸
Sing a Song ... Play Guitar ... Make it Snappy 😍 ... Great Guy this Warren 🤗
Ned Stark on drums.
my thought exactly!
I'm going hungry....
Jerry Jazz Brown
how the fuck do 24 people nor like this?
Tracy McCarty you either get it or you don't . apparently 24 people didn't
FOAM - BR LA USA . HI HELLO . I LINK THE MUSIE .
no equal voice for this music
Loe it , but in all earnestness, Warren did not seem confident on the lyrics of Hunger Strike. Still good though
👍
☣️🤒? 😭
He screwed the lyrics up big time!....
But it's on the table, the fire's cookin'
And they're farmin' babies, while the slaves are all workin'

But I'm goin' hungry, yeah.
Love Warren!....seen him half dozen times with Mule, Solo, A.Bro's he has soooooo many songs in his catalog!!
damn....that ain't the mule I know
I dont mind stealing bread from mouths of decadence....who wrote these lyrics...Donald Trump??
Matthew Storms I always think of him when I hear hunger strike
Dude, that just goes to show you that you don't know shit about Donald Trump...he's fed more homeless people than any 20 millionaires...I worked construction on a couple of his projects and I got to know a good bit about him...he's nothing like what you'd expect in person...I don't kiss his ass and I don't agree with everything he does, but I would bet my right nut that goes for you too...
@@sykwookiee HAHA wow thanks for sharing, I dont even remember writing that comment, it was a drunk joke....but I loved Donny as President.

How is it the “Mountain Man” look has taken over white music...🤨
What does even mean? Mountain man look? White music?
😘
What the fuck is "white music"...
Hey Warren, doesn't look like your going hungry 😅
I love Warren Haynes but this is a traffic song, and I am sick of this shit!
didn't really care for it..
