      Action breeds confidence, inaction breeds doubt. I encourage you to just take small steps each day. People often get stuck in learning mode, when action is how you really learn. Start doing, even if you make mistakes it better than sitting in overwhelm and doing nothing. But I'm glad you are still tuning in and inspired. I hope to hear you report back next week with at least 5 new listings up! :)

    Thank you so much for your videos and all the value you bring!🌻I'm starting to become a huge fan! I've become a star seller and I've had my first item take off! It's exciting! But hardly any profits. What I don’t understand is how all the successful Etsy sellers here on RUclips claim to end up with a 30% profit margin while paying 6.5% to Etsy and running sales with 20% discounts? That math doesn't work for me?
    I would have to price a Comfort Colors shirt at 37$ (plus Extra shipping) to be able to then run a sale of 20% off (29 $) and end up with a 30% profit margin. That’s not a competitive price and I don’t see any successful shops on Etsy do that price range. However everyone claims to have 30% profits. Please enlighten me 🙏

      @TheAnjiMartin  Год назад +1

      You're welcome! So glad you are enjoying the videos. Congrats on becoming star seller. My 30% profit margin includes Etsy fees. I use the Sale Samurai profit calculator to make sure I price my items to earn 30% profits WITH a 20% off sale. I work with a lot of sellers and do Zoom with them every Monday, so I understand pricing is a huge hang up for new sellers. I have had to repeat my pricing strategy 5 times before, before some of students fully understood it. So you must not be doing your calculations and pricing accurately. And most of what I'm sharing is in relation to Bella Canvas 3001 tees, not Comfort Colors. However, $38 with free shipping is what I would do for CC (that's the price WITH a discount). When you have a premium membership with Printify, you save 20% on all products as well.

    I just want to start by saying that I’m a huge fan of your channel and all the value you provide in your videos! , I’ve recently begun my POD journey on Etsy and I’ve signed up for Sale Samurai using your link, (thank you for the discount BTW) which as you’ve suggested in numerous videos, it’s a great Etsy research tool and very user friendly. It’s a great road map, especially for beginners like myself to follow and continue to learn from and fully optimize each listing, instead of just blindly throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. With a full time job and a 2 year old son, I have to utilize the pockets of time I do have and this tool along with your educational videos gives me that opportunity. Thank you so much Anji!!
    I do have a question and was hoping to get your thoughts on it, if possible? I know you’ve made a video on how to make products with personalization on them, which was great and super helpful. Is there a way to do personalization, for example, with customers uploading a personal/family photo along with words on say, a mug? I’ve not seen anywhere if/how this can be done? Thank you again for all the great content, your Hoosier neighbor to the West! Happy Mothers Day as well to all the Mothers out there!

      I'm so happy you are enjoying the videos. I appreciate you using my Sale Samurai link! Great job on taking action with the allotted time that you have. Small amounts of effort over time will add up to big results!
      With custom photos, you could just state in your listing that the customer can message you their photo. And then you can make the design in Canva (like any other design). Instead of using a graphic from Creative Fabrica you just use their photo. And then you will have to upload the custom work into Printiy and import the order (as shown in the custom mug tutorial). I hope that make sense and helps! I do plan to create more personalization videos, so that is a good idea for one of my tutorials! Thank you! I'm wishing you much success. Keep us updated!

    Hi, great video! I have a question about the cost. For example, if I were to list a T-shirt on Etsy using Printify and the customer buys it. Do I have to pay anything for Printify to make it and ship it? Or does Printify take care of all costs?

    • @TheAnjiMartin
      @TheAnjiMartin  Год назад

      Hi, thank you! Yes, you will need to link a payment form (I recommend a cash-back credit card) inside Printify to pay for your product to be shipped to the customer. Awesome video, Does niche only matter or general store?

    • @TheAnjiMartin
      @TheAnjiMartin  Год назад +4

      Thank you! I recommend to start with one product and multiple niches. As you find winning designs - you can expand upon those and add them to maybe 2 other products (but don't go over board on mutliple product types). It's easier to have one product template to help you get in the flow with listings. Also, keep an open mind with your niches, testing leads you to go into niches (that will be successful) that you didn't originally plan on doing. I hope that helps!

    • @TheAnjiMartin
      @TheAnjiMartin  Год назад +1

      There is a free trial and then you can do a monthly fee or annual fee. The annual fee which I have saves a ton of money and so worth it! There is also the option to pay per download which I don't recommend because that really starts to add up if you use it a lot.

    Hello Anji, thanks again for another great video.
    I have a question about something I'm concerned about.
    In one of your videos, I recall you suggesting to pick a niche and dominate it.
    I want to do wall decor with print on demand. I think it would be fun and thankfully it is a profitable niche. I would then expand my shop by designing t-shirts, bandana, etc.
    But I received an email from your bootcamp saying that selling T-shirts is great for generating income.
    I am thinking of designing for both wall decor and t shirts at the same time. But I am worried that my focus would be split.
    What is your advice?
    Thanks Anji.

    • @TheAnjiMartin
      @TheAnjiMartin  Год назад +1

      Hi. I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Yes, when you find a winning niche you defintely want to go all out for that niche so the search is covered with your listings (that increases the chance of getting the customer to click on one of your listings). In my personal opinion, I wouldn't do t-shirts and wall art. I would pick one or the other. I don't have much experience with wall art, so I'm not the best person to ask about that particular product. If you have questions about apparel or mugs, I can help there.

    Hi Anji, I love all your videos, I look forward to every time you make a new one. I have a question regarding pricing the Bella canvas 3001, printer-digital monster. In the video you’re showing that you pricing the shirts $24.99, what do you recommend pricing the larger sizes that 2XL, 3XL at 24.99 as well? Do you also recommend doing a discount for example 15% off of the 24.99 ? , and what about shipping, should we offer free shipping or should we charge for shipping and if so how much do you recommend to charge for shipping?

    • @TheAnjiMartin
      @TheAnjiMartin  Год назад +1

      Hi! Thank you! I'm so happy to hear that. Yes, you can add $1+ to the larger sizes that are more expensive. I will have a full listing tutorial coming up soon. When you are just getting a store going, it's okay to break even with a sale. As your store gets more seasoned and you get maybe 10 reviews under your belt, then I would raise the price to say $32 so that you can run a 20% off sale and still be profitable. It's 50/50 on free vs paid shipping. So for apparel I just do free shipping to keep it simple.

    Hi Anjie - another great video; question tho - do you recommend just having 1 etsy store and just "different lines" or categories, or is it necesary to create a "New store" per "category" say one store for "halloween shirts" like in your other example, and one store for christmas etc. or is it ok to have it all in one?

    • @TheAnjiMartin
      @TheAnjiMartin  Год назад +1

      Hi Kevin! Thank you! I definitely recommend putting los of categories in one store.All of those holidays for sure will work in the same apparel store, as well as evergreen niches. This will keep your sales flowing throughout the whole year. I just don't recomend going overboard with too many product types. I think apparel, mugs and tees can all go in one store though.
