- I love crayfishing, especially when i pull up a net with a really big crayfish in it. I also need to make time to do more bushwalking, so in this video I go crayfishing, with a bit of bushwalking in between checking the nets.

Beautiful river flats bush.👍👍👍
You're not wrong mate. It's all flooded down there now.
Thanks for video. Nice crayfish.
Thanks so much for watching Becky.
Looked a wonderful day out on the bank catching crayfish and no umbrella being used. A great day. Great video.
Thanks Vincent. Haha Not too hot, not too wet. I was able to give my umbrella the day off.
G’day Robbie, that old girl was a beautiful example of a crayfish mate, excellent 👍🏼. Have a good one mate and keep up your walking…
Thank you so much Wayne. I hope you've had a great weekend mate. 👍
Robbie the legend as always cheers from grumpy
Thanks so much Colin.
That large female was an excellent specimen for photos.
Thanks mate, it sure was.
HEy You 😂😂 hello 👋 loved watching the crayfish walk back into the water and what a big mama you caught
Thanks. Haha How awesome is it watching the big white claws swim back into the water
Nice! Getting to my cousin's size!
DID you run into Mick Delmarco when he was up there, looking for crays for his show?
Thanks UF. Yes and no. LOL We spoke on the phone, and he very kindly invited me to come along and join him, but I had too much going on and couldn't make it. Mick is a gem of a bloke.
@@robbiefishing Yeah I know! Dealt with him several times. Jesse as well!
Love seeing a big girl like that in berry. Fantastic!!!
Thanks mate, so do I. I wonder goe mamy of those eggs will survive?
Hi Robbie. That first net looks like an old net used for ferreting. 😁😁
Thanks mate. Haha Thats EXACTLY what it is, a ferret net.
It was almost spring and the sun was shinning
but Robbie was ready and he wasn’t whining.
The ropes were long and the nets went in 1, 2 and 3
Then the impatient check and he set them free.
Off he went on a walk looking for rabbits but really it was a search for his healthy habits
Thanks for sharing
Love your work
Healthy habits 💪
Haha thanks for the laugh Moo Moo. Very creative. 🤣👍👍
Hey robbie I think you should try some saltwater fishing I would love to see a video of it
Thanks mate. I have a couple of salt water videos but I lice so far away that I rarely get the chance.
The Sulphur Crested Cockatoos are certainly raucous.
Hiya rob ... that big old girl was well worth the effort...
Mate your on a bit of a health check I noticed, so I hope it's going well and remember not to over do it... and in no time your be like a greyhound....thank you mate
Best regards 😎🇬🇧
Thanks mate. Haha I consider myself more of a Labrador. Big and bold with a loud bite but chews on everything. LOL
Great work mate. I really love the look of those crab pots
Thanks mate. I love using them, they're so much better to throw.
I do love me a feed of freshwater crayfish. I like seeing the females full of eggs, it shows they are healthy and ensures they will be there for my grandchildren.
Thanks Kenneth. I'm in the same boat mate. I usually keep 1 or 2 feeds each season and release the rest. I really gooebthat a large percentage of these eggs survive to be legal crayfish in years to come.
Awesome vid, big cray in berry, awesome job mate
Thanks mate. I never tire of seeing those really big crayfish in the bottom if my net.
That’s one thing we never get here in Western Australia, catching marron because they have big, black claws, it is still nice seeing a black shadow in your net
YA NEVER know ya luck in the big city!
Keren bos 👏👏👏
Dapat udang lobster air tawar 👍👍👍
Awesome work rob
Thanks si much legend.
@@robbiefishing yw
She was certainly a beautiful cray Robbie.
Thanks Glen, sure was mate.
Hello Robbie, nice looking spot and a great catch. As a matter of interest, what car did you replace your old Jackaroo with?
great vid love em
Thanks so much Sash.
Growing up swimming, wakeboarding and jet sking on the murray with all 3 activities being in or falling in the water, that was my fear.....that MONSTER!
Dark muddy colour of the murray, can't see anything, my fear was a giant cray having a go at me lol.
Hahahaha thats so funny. 🤣 I dwim in this river all the time and haven't been bitten by a crayfish yet. The shrimp give me the irits though. LOL
great video as always😁
Thanks so much mate.
Do you know the estimate age of those big oversize crays? It would be interesting to know how fast crays grow and how long they live? They are one amazing looking animal, built like an armoured tank to do battle against big Murray Cod trying to eat them I'd guess?
Thanks for the vids, if I cant always get the time to get out fishing I can always live the experience through your vids.
Thanks mate, I'm not 100% sure of age, but I believe it takes these crayfish around 10 years to reach their minimum legal size if 10cm.
what a beauty rob full berry female next gen👍
Thanks so much mate.
Good one mate that was a huge cray enjoyed that 👍👍👍👍
Thanks so much Cam. 👍
That was a stunning lady Robbie.
Thanks Deb. She sure was a ripper.
Holy.... that one was huge! Nice vid! 🙂
Thanks mate.
@@robbiefishingwelcome 🙂
How big do they get?
2kg
The biggest I have ever caught was a little bit bigger than this.
Loving this video bro, straight on the UKCA wall it's gonna go !🤣 take care buddy.
Macca
Legend.... thank you so much for your awesome support mate.
The thing here in South Australia the fishery people are really slack they don't really stock up on anything for people to go fishing and there's no such thing as a fishing licence so people can just don't have any respect for the environment or the fish they just take undersized fish and don't give a crap it's really socks that South Australia fisheries don't get on board and reward the ones that do the right thing.
Thanks Robbie great vid. I remember when l was younger my uncle would put a long wooden stake through a chicken carcass and put it in the river not far out from the edge to catch freshwater crayfish.
Thanks Neil, wow what a primative and awesome technique. I must try this. I've done similar with shrimp but never thought to try it with crayfish.
@@robbiefishing that’s ok Robbie he would catch one on each stake,he would prepare them at the car and walk through bush to the creek .l think it was the Tanjil.
They look awesome the spiney crays yet I've never seen one outside a magazine or video I've wanted to going chasing Murray cod in that neck of the woods for a while so I'll have to take a net & check the regulations even if it's not whatever it would be cool just to catch one & do the old Rex Hunt without getting me nose chomped lol..
Haha I have done it. LOL
You can only target then in winter mate. June, July and August.
Sometimes I catch them in my fishing rod in May, September and October as a bycatch, but outside if that I rarely see them other than the ones that t I pick up while trout fishing.
Great vid Robbie love the work mate
Thanks so much Brody.
Great video as always. 🙂🙂
Thanks. It will be a while before we can get down there againnI think.
Great video mate! You have given me the bushwalking bug.. 16 ks last week lol. Beautiful crays, those crab pots look so easy to toss
Thanks mate. WOW, that is awesome, well done. I'm going walking with my childhood best friend tomorrow. Haven't seen her for 7 or 8 years and can't wait.
Anyone know any rope makers or companies ? We need to get Robbie a rope sponsor so he's never short on rope again 😅 who needs a Garmin sponsor when you could have a rope sponsor to get your nets where want them 🤣
Hahaha thanks mate. That's funny.
Telecom!
Holy heck Robbie well done
