    Love the ingenuity to get your float back. Its so good that you got crays right in the middle of Wangaratta shows the system and laws are working. So good that you mentioned mens mental health issues as we loose six men a day from this unasked for, unwanted and misunderstood disease. It is a huge problem due to the pressures of life these days. Take a mate fishing and you will find they will relax and talk and open up. Being outdoors away from the grind and taking in the surrounds really does help, Great stuff Robbie for speaking up, Talk to your mates, listen and dont judge. Big thumbs up.

    Hey buddy those nets are actually named drop nets in the south east United States (Charleston,south Carolina). We use them to catch blue crab. As soon as you move that string they go into fight or flight mode. If you put them a few feet apart and drop them from the side of that bridge there beside y’all I could only imagine you could catch more than you’d know what to do with. Good luck
    P.S. you’d still have to pull them kinda quick but not near like you do the way you’re doing now

    Aww take it easy on Mike, Murray crays are nonexistant in SA, We're used to Yabbies that tend to just hang around in the hoop nets and we don't need to just reef them in

      @robbiefishing  5 лет назад +1

      Haha thanks mate. Mike was a genuine gentleman. Is everyone in SA as nice as Mike?
      I was so happy to see him catch a crayfish.
      I wonder if they ever existed down there?

      @@robbiefishing Most people are. Not sure about the Murray Crays but I've never seen or even heard of people catching them here, everyone knows if you want some you have to go way upstream into Vic and NSW.

      @@robbiefishing No probs. I once saw one of these in a place where i thought i'd never see them and it was humongous! Like the size of a big saltwater cray, it must have been very old. LOL, we gave it it's life! But one day I'd like to fish for them, only ever caught the regular dam crays. Great channel!

    good job today robbie nice crayfish. i have a question do you know why the fish and crayfish are called "murry" ?

    • @robbiefishing
      @robbiefishing  5 лет назад

      Thanks Phoebe. It is because they are found in the Murray River catchment.
      The Murray River is the biggest river in Australia by volume. (Not by length).
      It divides the state's of Victoria (where I live) and New South Wales (where I don't live).
