It straight up hurts cuz we KNOW how all the members are perfectionists to the point of really burning themselves out but we can't really help. They strive to do better every single time and we strive to always support them more with each comeback as well.
Personally, I also think that J-hope's performance help keep the long shots/takes engaging. Aside from the camera tracking him, the only movement in a very still set come from the flames and J-hope. Arguably, J-hope's energy and growth become synonymous with the dancing and consuming fire. Edit: and a few people burning around too
I really recommend the whole album, Jack in the Box. It has a variety of high quality songs, it goes deep into J-Hope's inner world and his feelings. I think this album finally showed the world that he is more than just a funny sunshine member of BTS, but rather a deep person with a great artistic vision. I really appreciate that he put out this album, cause I was really hoping to hear something like this from him. All songs make me really emotional, cause those lyrics, man... I love J-Hope as an artist so much more now.
The adrenaline rush I felt as I read through the lyrics and hearing him- it's like sensory OVERLOAD (((;ꏿ_ꏿ;))) his passion is literally pumping through my veins and heart. I'm just in a state of disbelief "he made this... he did that." J-hope never fails to captivate me with his music. The live performances made me dance, focused, I can't sit still like a kid with adhd, I HEADBANGED- never have I did that with ANY BTS/k-pop song but J-HOPE?????? he's just different in every little way in musicality. I'm completely enamored with him. The tears just falls at times too, it was so overwhelming but I can't get enough of it. It's a good kind of pain. I'm really looking forward what sound he'll produce next. Not the j-hope of BTS, not the dance captain, not the sunshine- J-HOPE the artist. I'm already following his growth, but JITB personally invites you to see how much his passion has become. And I'm completely floored with so many things. I'll be following him in the sidelines just waiting for him to take everyone through the storm again. Hope World & JITB are both no skip albums for me. It was all an experience. I can't wait what he'll do next!
I highly recommend watching Hobipalooza as soon as possible. As both ot7 stan and a Hoseok bias, I watched Hoseok with my mouth open and proud. Hoseok's stage performance was great and that 1 hour and 15 minutes he performed made me feel like 1-2 minutes.
you have no idea how many times I have heard hip hop, rap fans say "BTS is just not my style" and they start listening to all their raps, end up in the vocal line, and discover that in fact they are into BTS, I say this, being a Metal fan and BTS just found me out of nowhere and well, here I am being an ARMY
Hobipalooza was so great like i love him and been fan of him for years but it surpassed all my expectations I think he is the coolest artist. If you watch it you’ll get what i mean. I love his album even more after live performances
I love Arson and the whole album is amazing! Hope World was one of my favorite solo projects but I think Jack in the Box is even better in terms of production and storytelling. Having said that, I really enjoy j-hope’s solo music a lot. It’s probably closest to the variety of things I listened to before finding BTS (whose music I also adore). Thrilled to see him try new things and can’t wait to see what the other guys have in store for us.
i like arson and more for different reasons. i liked the mv for more more (for lack of a better word) but i really liked the one take stuff for arson, i think those shots really accentuated the lyrics. more has some punk influences, which i really liked so i'm a bit biased in that regard, but i also really liked the heavier hip hop influences of arson and the lyricism of both songs are so good.
I went to Chicago for #Hobipalooza and I didn't think that I could love his music, his performances, or him any more than I already did... but after seeing him I love his music... everything about him even more. This man is so freaking talented, hardworking, and sweet. He deserves more support. ARMY, stop your weird internal competitions and support this brilliant work of art.
I f*cking love this whole album. I seriously love Intro & Music Box too. I like playing the album in order. As a 90s kid who grew up listening to later nineties-2000s Alt Rock he really got me with MORE. I love the similarities and contrasts between More and Arson. Even though he used the same director for both music videos, I believe, they did a great job making the two songs & videos very different yet cohesive. If there would have been too many similarities people would be complaining. I think it was quite interesting that he chose Arson as the last song. The question of does he burn out or burn even brighter is such a j-hope question. He always leaves his fans wanting more.
I played jhope album in the car from start to the last song and my mum loved it her favorite songs are equal sign and safety zone, she said I lobe the lyrics especially the meaning of equal sign and I love the beat and melody to safety zone
PD, would you consider doing a live when you watch the Lollapalooza set? I'd love to see it (again) along with you! Just a thought! Thanks for your reaction!
Arson is a really good song, I liked more then More but both are great and complement each other. The whole album is so amazing, it tells a story and it is very fluid. Also hobipalooza was awesome!! I'm só proud of him.
His Lollapalooza perfomance is completely worth it to be checked out... the energy is just in another level, I still can't process how amazing is to watch the whole set back to back, I'm completely addicted to it
I was anticipating this reaction so much! This is my favourite song of the album, but the whole album is incredible. Both the lyrics and the sound. 💜💜💜
To complete this arc, i really recommend a listening party for Jack In The Box. Also if you could watch hobi's performance at Lollapalooza, even if its in your own time, that would be great 😊
I love the album and even more, loved the album performed live. My favourites completely changed once I saw this live. "What If" is my new favourite song on the album, especially after seeing it performed live with a band.
Hobi is very talented and this song stood out well in the Lollapalooza. The live band really makes the difference. I hope you can react to JHope Lollapalooza.
j-hope making and he involved in both MORE n ARSON concept and mv direction. He basically in so in charged of the songs in all aspects. This album Jack In The Box ...he out his blood sweat and tears in every things about this album and all the songs.
PD if you watch the Lollapalooza set, pls upload your reaction to Patreon if you think that's not too much to ask! 🙏 I wish I could hear your opinion right as you watch (TXT's set was also insane)
Agust D is my favorite rapper out of the three, but with Jhope's Jack In The Box album, I think he's up there along D-2 and the rest of their heavily hiphop inspired albums and tracks.
oh my god, glad to be bombarded (in a very good pleasant way and i appreciated that) with notifications from you PD!! Welcome back!! can't wait for your reaction to newjeans too
I think I like both songs equally, but I do like the More mv better. The album is one of my favorites of the year so far for his delivery, the topics, and the influence of older hip hop sounds. It all came together well.
@Form of therapy, PD check out the behind the scenes of ARSON! I actually saw the lollapalooza 60 minutes set actually was a little bit more than a hour! I hope you get to check that out! His performance was outstanding to me he was the “ star “ as one of the main headliners at Lollapalooza!!!💜😊 oh and by the way they did say they were going to do different concepts so BTS is going to continue to surprise you and take you out of the BTS seven member zone it’s gonna be solo individual albums so expect the unexpected !
You HAVE to do the Lollapalooza full set it was amazing and yes we will watch to the end. I was there LIVE and still can't stop watching. I love the entire ALBUM.
I really didn't know what to expect for his second project but like you I thought it would be more along the lines of Hope World. Hope World is very precious to me. Hope World is home and it is one of his identities. Jack in the Box was a nice surprise and I love that he is so open and sharing what's inside his heart with us. I'm streaming Jack in the Box all the time because it's so amazing. I'm already looking forward to his third album.
I see Arson as way to talks about many things fans are affraid of accepting/admittig. Especially with lines like "leaving when there`s still applause" admiting the self awareness that things will fall appart the higher you fly the harder you will hit the ground. It also adress what antis say about BTS being gready. J-Hope shows that he knows that, he knows that they got almost all they can that his passion transformed into something else he can`t control because of their circumstance yet as we ee in More he still wants to create. Arson is self awareness and a painful one at least for me. Awareness that all Hobi gave and gained till now all the fame, money and the passion he put into his work became bigger then him,the fire that used to be his driving force now is burning him alive trainwreck that can`t be stopped and with Arson he is asking himself if he wants to burn till the end or stop now when there is still some hope for it to not become arson.
Hello pd l.m your fan from taiwan, every time l see your video,l always learn a lot knowedledge from you , really happy to see you today ,hope your every day always wondful and full of joy♥(sorry for my bad english(#
Please please please check out all of Jack In The Box and Hobipalooza. On here or on Patreon. I just know you would really love them! He went old school--real stripped back hip hop on the album and then at Hobipalooza he was a freaking rock star. SO ICONIC.
It would be so interesting if you would make and post here a reaction to JHope at Lollapalooza. Not only he made history that day but he alone absolutely K!LLED that stage!! (and Bighit doesnt block reactions to it so its ok to post it)
Yesss, I knew you'd like the MV!! I was so excited when I saw this video :D :D :D And +1000000 to asking you to consider watching his Lollapalooza show on Patreon, it's amazing - the full performance is up on the official BANGTANTV yt channel!
He is literally burnt out. But he can't stop. Because he wants more. He will always need more to stay alive.
It straight up hurts cuz we KNOW how all the members are perfectionists to the point of really burning themselves out but we can't really help. They strive to do better every single time and we strive to always support them more with each comeback as well.
My husband isn’t a BTS fan, but I caught him rocking down to this song as it played on the car radio. 🤣
Thats a real music appreciater ryt there lmao
Proves BTS don't need armies to be acknowledged.. if u got good ears you'll automatically like BTS ...
@@lazybum9732 you can acknowledge they make good music while not liking them at the same time xD
@@lightweaver6734 ikr lol that's pretty much almost all the haters XDXD

This mv looks simple, they are only 4 stage, but to get that lighting difficult, not only because of filter.
I hope you get to review j-hope's full Jack in the Box album, too!
Jack in the Box, in my opinion, is Hobi's best album. Check everything out! And give Hope on the Street - his OST album - a listen, too!
