He’s the only person to ever have 3 albums in the top 10 on the charts with three different bands... Foo Fighters and QOTSA had both released albums that skyrocketed and a Nirvana compilation was also released around the same time. He’s a fucking impressive human, that’s for sure. 🤘🏻
I`m not a Foo Fighters fan, not even a Nirvana fan. But i must say Dave is an awesome and sweet guy. VIVA DAVE!! Yayo Sanchez video appear in my youtube feed click it because curiosity and it got me here.
I love how Dave knows this is this guys moment and all he does is just cheer him on. This kid is running all over the stage and he’s like YEAH JOEY GET IT!!!!
I'm scrolling through the comments and reading some absolutely sour remarks from people who for some reason feel the need to hate on the fact that this kid was given 5 minutes to do something that every single person on this planet who has ever heard music wishes they had the opportunity to do whether it's rock music pop music whatever your favorite genre is and instead of just being happy for the dude there of course has to be people who critique the fact that he couldn't play the song Perfectly or make fun of how he's dressed or just say some other really foul unnecessary comments. You know when you read other people's comments and then you say to yourself "wow what a tool bag". Yea, that's you. This kid got to shred a classic with the Foo, and you're sitting behind your computer talking about how it could've been better.......
@Henri Kotylak, and What did you achieve in life besides being an Asshole? or you just want some "SPECIAL" attention because your Mom did not gave it to you, here 1 attention for you Sir :)
Best thing about Dave Grohl is he was a music kid. He knows he has the power to give kids like he was a place to have a once in a lifetime experience. Absolutely amazing job Joey and thank you Dave Grohl for being one if the most cool and humble motherfuckers is music history
I would've lost my shit from having been so nervous. Joey handled this like a rock star and Dave Grohl is just a great guy...the Keanu Reeves of the music world.
I saw FF in 1997. A guy found his way onstage, went up to the microphone to sing with Dave. Dave turned and looked startled. He then stepped back, waved his hand toward the microphone, and let the guy sing a verse. Then security just walked him off stage without incident. Very cool of Dave.
Just saw them last night and Dave is actually the coolest dude on the planet. He did something similar with a guy in the front, right before they played "Big Me" he noticed the guy's sign that said No Dad, will you be mine? Dave called him up on stage after dedicating the song to him. Landon is one lucky dude to have Dave be his Dad even for 5 minutes.
This is the third video of Foo Fighters with Dave Grohl allowing a fan to play with them on Monkey Wrench I've commented on and let me just say it doesn't get old seeing a guy who's loving it as much as the fans are!!! It breaks my heart that Taylor Hawkins is gone and we as fans may never see them on stage again!!! May Foo Fighters reign supreme in all our hearts forever 💜💜💜🥁🎸
The fans that are chosen for this FF tradition of being called on stage and playing this song, will forever have to deal with the "Kiss Guy Paradox". Kiss Guy was so amazing that this fan here is trying to best that legendary performance, four months BEFORE the Kiss guy ever set foot onstage.
Ronil Manlosa he dont consider himself a rockstar since the term give him a sour taste after the 2001 tour. Taylor’s OD did change a lot of things in that band and for the better.
I freakin love this guy. Never heard of him, not my kind of music. Im an oldie and old shool kinda guy. Dont even care for rap. Just happened to see The Kiss Guy video pop up on Facebook and it caught my attention. The world needs more Dave Grohls Especially with all that is going on right now. This can be the thing that can change a persons whole life. Especially for the person with low self esteem this would be a game changer. This band will be on my play list for now on.
What privilege to be able to do that! Dave is so awesome and all of these audience members have been enjoyable to watch. It's a rock show, sit back and enjoy. I'd be scared shitless to be up there playing.
I’m glad he’s given talent a chance to be seen and motivate next generation to see and feel the excitement of entertaining a crowd one dose of that makes us a musicians hooked for life. It’s what’s it’s all about making the people you performing for to be inspired and motivated and impact them in a life changing way if possible. Foo Fighters are carrying the torch for live music in rock!!!🤘😎🤘🎤🎼🎸
I remember seeing this live. it was one of my most favourite memories to this day. The entire stadium shared this one energy. The video is hard to convey this, but the entire stadium felt as if it were shaking from the clapping, the cheers and of course the speakers.
When I saw him wearing the hat I was like "you gotta go full on rocker if you're in stage with the foo's!" Well, he headbanged that right off of his head and went full rocker mode!
This is what sets Dave Grohl apart from the rest. He touched this young man’s life in a profound way. Another testament to the awesomeness that is the foo fighters.
Really should compare..... BUT: This video is truly like a fan playing with the band. Yayo was like a rock star making a guest appearance to the show. But both had the time of their life !!!
This is by far one the coolest moments of a humuns life... Nor you hate rock or love it; everybody wants te be a rock star one way or the other💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 This few minutes has to feel awesome for the guy and I really love the way he performs!!
For all you kooks banging on about 'Kiss Guy' - this is NOT Kiss Guy, this is just Joey, some Brisbane kid who got a single moment to stand in front of 30 thousand of his mates and make his dream come true. Coming on here to compare or shit on Joey or kiss the arse of Yayo Sanchez who IS a professional musician makes you look like pelicans ... pull your heads in ya pelicans.
Agreed, I'm watching this feeling happy for Joey being able to be a Foo Fighter for a song in front of thousands. I could not do that. I don't even play an instrument. Even if I could play an instrument, I would shit myself.
I love that they do this with fans... I have yet to watch one and be disappointed. Come on, this is awesome shit! Dave and the guys are so great for giving people a chance to rock out in front of thousands of people! 🤘🏻
This is how dave and pat and all others learnt in the punk rock era.. even if you fuck up.. just keep going.. and this what hes trying to teach the new generation.. its not just about making money to him.. its also about making someone's dream come true and imparting knowledge. Foo fighters.. forever and everlong. ❤
How awesome to be a rock star for 10 minutes. We all want that. Thanks dave and the beautiful foo! You guys rock. For all the negativity on this post? Shut up. Now, get in the pit and try to love someone
I dont even care if that lead sounded wrong. He fucking killed it. You cannot compare him to Yayo, they played entirely different. Joey killed it, and it's so amazing to see how humble Dave was about it, and how much he encouraged Joey to rock it.
If Dave keeps inviting people on stage to play with them, soon he'll be able to put them together and make a new band. Introducing Joey on guitar, Mohawk Guy on drums.
The Foo Fighters are the greatest band in the last 30 years. Dave Grohl is probably one of the coolest, most down to Earth guys rock music ever produced. The sixties were about "The Beatles". The seventies were about "Elton John". The eighties where about "U2". The nineties where about "Pearl Jam". Everything after that were about "The Foo Fighters". It's not surprising that Paul McCartney Respect and likes Dave & Company. The circle has closed.
Dude, I'm 59...i'm sure you missed great bands in the 70's. The 80 were a wasteland of music until G&R in 87, most people never heard of them until 87. By then U2 was on the downslope. But the only great rock bands in the 80's were the Cult (My favorite) and U2. G&R were never huge in the 80's and were eclipsed by the grunge movement mostly because Axl Rose is an asshole. I moved on with Slash and Myles Kennedy who is a superior singer to Axl, even now.
Liam G Wilick 70s Elton John? What about KISS, Status Quo, ACDC, Sex Pistols, Queen, Aerosmith, The Who, Eagles, ZZ Top? If you wanna talk about real Rock'n'Roll, the 70s were about these guys and some others. The piano man is a legend, but not rock
Good on him he took the moment for all he could and that is how it should be. He really did play well too. He also knows how to take cues well and when to stop and read the others. I also love that Dave was like "come on this guitar was made to be played. Play something" and he proceeds to cleverly starts improvising. Great job on all of their parts the band included because its difficult for someone to just come in and play on a song unrehearsed. But the rest of the band are so good it wouldnt matter to them.
Like he said in back and forth it was his dream as a kid to be at a gig for his favourite band and the drummer get sick and he'd put his hand up to take over. I think that's why he does this and many people dream that.
Great time! I would have enjoyed it as much as he did....first lesson for guitar playing though....try not to drop the pick. Lol. Two thumbs up though!!!!
Dave Grohl: what a guy. He's been in two of the most successful bands of all time and still stays cool and humble.
don’t forgot the third band, QOTSA
He’s the only person to ever have 3 albums in the top 10 on the charts with three different bands... Foo Fighters and QOTSA had both released albums that skyrocketed and a Nirvana compilation was also released around the same time. He’s a fucking impressive human, that’s for sure. 🤘🏻
@@jordy2x_ he was only there for like a year
FURY THRUSTER He still played on their best album, so that doesn’t matter
FURY THRUSTER also went #1 with them
Being apart of Foo Fighters for 7mins must be the best thing ever
My heart would give out
Dom Allen it has too better than any other band
Dave u rock !!!!
Mhmmmmm for me woul be tool but yea
Except for being asked to join the lineup permanently yes lol
Dave Grohl is proof that rock stars are not (or don't have to be) duchebags! He is a really nice man! God bless!
Yeah man super true..Dave is awesome
Dave rocks, so talented and a nice dude
I`m not a Foo Fighters fan, not even a Nirvana fan. But i must say Dave is an awesome and sweet guy. VIVA DAVE!! Yayo Sanchez video appear in my youtube feed click it because curiosity and it got me here.
theres an interview with Dave Grohl where he says that he learnt to be like that from hanging out with Dimebag Darrell from Pantera
Always liked the foo fighters but him doing things like this puts him at the absolute top in my book.
I love how Dave knows this is this guys moment and all he does is just cheer him on. This kid is running all over the stage and he’s like YEAH JOEY GET IT!!!!

Kiss guy
@Henri Kotylak, and What did you achieve in life besides being an Asshole? or you just want some "SPECIAL" attention because your Mom did not gave it to you, here 1 attention for you Sir :)
@Henri Kotylak I give a fuck about Jame's insights and you just kind of proved one of his points. Oh yeah, your name is spelled like a girl, lol
@Henri kotylak You're very sick individual and you should grow up I'm sorry that your 33 years old still living In your parents basement
Best thing about Dave Grohl is he was a music kid. He knows he has the power to give kids like he was a place to have a once in a lifetime experience. Absolutely amazing job Joey and thank you Dave Grohl for being one if the most cool and humble motherfuckers is music history
Dave is the ambassador of rock n roll and supports all musicians young and old. No need to compare. Go Joey! Great job!
I would've lost my shit from having been so nervous. Joey handled this like a rock star and Dave Grohl is just a great guy...the Keanu Reeves of the music world.
Haha Keanu of the rock scene is the most perfect comparison.
Imagine standing there infront of the mic and shitting yourself. Literally
Joey is in full ham mode. Awesome to see the kid rise to the occasion.
The exact balance of being a cool Rock star and still being a nice person to the core: Dave Grohl. ❤❤❤
The moment I like best is when the dude loses his pick, asks dave for a new one and gets one right away.
I saw FF in 1997. A guy found his way onstage, went up to the microphone to sing with Dave. Dave turned and looked startled. He then stepped back, waved his hand toward the microphone, and let the guy sing a verse. Then security just walked him off stage without incident. Very cool of Dave.

made me smile so much
Very nice from Joey letting the Foo Fighters play at his show
hell yeah, Joey looks like he was having the time of his life and he genuinely shreded! all I can say is that I hope he lives a good life
Guitar Hero super expert difficulty! This guy rocked it. Grohl and the gang are class acts.
Jeremy Bordeleau What’s Guitar Hero?
@@carolinapdx drumming game
ironically a cover of this song was in Guitar Hero 2 lmao
and then in Guitar Hero Smash Hits
and then the Colour and Shape album was Rock Band DLC
@@ChanceOfOne344254that's where I found out about this song. Was playing it on expert with the regular handheld PS2 controller 😂
I was there that night. I was so scared that the guy was gonna trip over while walking up n down the stage. Sounded way better live tbh
Agreed
Doesn't it always I was present for one of the recordings of an Linkin Park live DVD, and I've seen the dvd since, and it doesn't do the show justice.
I can watch hours of these videos of the randoms on stage with dave! They are amazing!
It’s my fifth hour of watching random on stage 👌👌 I highly recommend it
Totally !
Guy is just making dreams come true!
These are new to me. My new favourite thing on the internet.

I got to about 25 concerts and festivals each year, nobody pulls off a long 3 1/2 hour show like the foo fighters much respect for the foos:)
Kiss Guy and Joey. BOTH ARE PURE BOSSES.
stop.... stop...stop... this isn`t kiss guy without makeup?`haha
What about the dude who drummed wheels like a madman???
The Fellowship of the Foos, directed by David Grohl
Kiss Guy was way better
This is the third video of Foo Fighters with Dave Grohl allowing a fan to play with them on Monkey Wrench I've commented on and let me just say it doesn't get old seeing a guy who's loving it as much as the fans are!!! Fact: Dave Grohl appreciates what he does and who pays to see him do it
I think Dave Grohl and Joey shop at the same Outlet lol
And at the same barbershop.
"dont fall joey, dont fall" hahaha
guitar antihero LMFAO I read this comment right as Dave said it!
same!
Same
Hahaha. Dave got instant flashbacks.
I laughed so hard😂

that experience might really help Joey become a fucking star keep it up joey
Dave Grohl Rocks... He is a rockstar but definitely no rockstar attitude. HE is genuine!
Ronil Manlosa he dont consider himself a rockstar since the term give him a sour taste after the 2001 tour. Taylor’s OD did change a lot of things in that band and for the better.
I'm sure the guitar technic was flipping his shit when Dave poured water over Joey's head. Fucking amazing.
Makes it hard to hold the pick too.
My thoughts exactly hahahaa
His stage guitars are water proofed against sweat and rain (outdoor shows). The water dump wouldn't have bothered him.
ME AND MY DAUGHTER WERE AT THAt CONCERT!!! 😂😂🤘🏻🇦🇺
love all the videos of people getting on stage. foo fighters just making the world a better place :')

Revisiting this on a Foos marathon at home - boy did Joey ever own that stage!!
I remember seeing this live. it was one of my most favourite memories to this day. The entire stadium shared this one energy. The video is hard to convey this, but the entire stadium felt as if it were shaking from the clapping, the cheers and of course the speakers.
"don't fall Joey, don't fall"
Joey your showmanship n skills are top notch. !!!!!
"That guy had one of the greatest nights of his life....."
Joey is all of us. He represents the fan's fantasy incarnate.
Absolutely great to let Joey feel and feed off the energy of all those fans, while he plays a cover with the real band.
When I saw him wearing the hat I was like "you gotta go full on rocker if you're in stage with the foo's!"
Well, he headbanged that right off of his head and went full rocker mode!
I think the split second where he whipped off the hat to head bang might have been the pinnacle cool moment of this dudes life.
This is what sets Dave Grohl apart from the rest. He touched this young man’s life in a profound way. Another testament to the awesomeness that is the foo fighters.
No one will ever be better than YAYO KISS FUCKIN GUY SANCHEZ!!!!
The King of all fan participations!!!
Dave is such a kool guy, I have so much respect for him
Really should compare..... BUT:
This video is truly like a fan playing with the band.
Yayo was like a rock star making a guest appearance to the show.
But both had the time of their life !!!
You gotta have some stones to get up and play in front of not just the crowd, but your idols ..
The most down-to-earth musician
I love when they get perfect strangers to play & rock out with the band....soooo coool...🎸✌🤘🎶
You have not lived until you have been to a Foo Fighters concert. Miss those days.

Great that they bring folks on stage to play and my hat off to those who do it and don't mess it up in front of tens of thousands of fans.
Yayo and Joey be rocking Dave's head clean off
Boy he exploded onto stage LOL I love David grohl doing this with these kids. And he actually are all phenomenal
I love how Joey just lets his hat fly right off at the beginning.
So nice of Dave to let people live out their fantasy, he will remember this the rest of his life.
Great Job Joey! To be jamming with the Foo must just be just awesome. Lifetime experience! Cheers
I’d freeze, drop the guitar and then remember I couldn’t play the damn thing anyway. Massive respect to anyone who can do this.
