I wish they would get back together and record one more album. This shit slaps so hard and there is nothing else out there that sounds like this.
it's fucking gross. the lineup is so fucking insane too. actual dream band
o forgot to mention check out the album bb&c shit will make u jizz ur lil undies
The vocals at the end of this song just wow...
I'm dying for something similar. This track kills.
Who is she?
Came for Tosin, stayed for the sexy sax.
Follow that sax over to The Mars Volta
@@atlskier definetly do
There's no shame in coming twice.
@@stephencosgrove3475 but thrice tho
Oh no Wonder its sounds like animal as leaders
As much as I've tried, I don't speak jazz. But I love letting myself melt into it
3:45 is one of the most humbling pieces of music I've ever heard; so simple, yet so serene.
I've listened to everything AAL, how haven't I found this sooner??
Stonemperor Exactly my thoughts!
Just found this right now... I hate myself
Get into eric Moore my guy and you'll be enlightened
Try mestis if you haven't its Javier Reyes other band
Animals as leaders is so overrated its not even funny
one of the most technical displays of musicianship.
They are beast men sent back in time to jazz our faces off
I love the singing in this more than anything.
PurpleKangaroo4 same
I love the anything in this more than the singing **swings like Harambe**
Those voices though... Oh dear. I think I love the everything in this more than anything :D
I'm an extreme metal guy but I can get down to this. Helllll yea sounds clean af, especially the drums
Incredible. With that lineup of musicians you can't really expect anything less.
that album cover is quite mysterious
2:37 and onwards get me every time... Amazing stuff! The whole album is amazing and it's a shame Tosin is not really working on this beautiful project anymore.
So much talent in one band.
The developement of this song is so good. Never saw it coming. I hope i can expect more things like this from T.R.A.M, just discovered them.
Why all the hating, this is amazing
Obvious trolls are obvious.
I love this! Been listening to it all day.
This is beautiful
THATS ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT WHEN I LISTEN TO THIS THANK YOU
Still a great album!!! Love this!
I've been looking for this style for a while now, glad to finally find it.
Nnnnjiiii dem drums. Hearing this for the first time, loving it.
such strange rhythm at the start. love it
i was just thinking this, great point! definitely my favorite label
This is mind blowing! Can't believe i haven't heard this. Closest thing I've heard is CHON. The vocals toward the end of the song remind me of the soft part in recharging the void by Vektor.
Great stuff right here.
Why doesn't this band have another album ? In the meantime , suggesting the whole album , these guys are the best after liquid tension experiment
Never thought I'd see that name. Thank you for the reminder of that legendary band 🎉
Wow!!!just wow!!!
sounds like parkour city rush type stuff around rich modern houses flying on raft boards from erueka seven in the clear winter cold blue skies type music
cyberpunk takashi now this is all i can imagine listening, you created the music video effect
Asolutely brilliant
INCREDIBLE
Genial groove fusión sampler y mambo de tosin y reyes resultado : genial !
Fantastic.
the definition of jazz fusion
sumerian is getting better and better every single day
nick holland this was four years ago, though...
I like it. This right here is jazz, funk, and fusion inspired stuff.
Not sure if djent or really weird version of an ed, edd, n' eddy soundtrack.
Ed shiran
Chiran*
got me fucked up man
Tosin Edbasi 😁
@@dyingfetus2483 you are 8 strings on 7 string neck Ed boy!
THIS DRUMMER THO.
dropkickproductiontx I don't wanna get racist here, but I'm sure he is black. Black people have the best feeling, especially on drums!
Fishout ofWater It's Eric Moore, who is indeed black!
+Fishout ofWater i´m absolutely your opinion though there are some white drummers that kick ass too!
+Jason D And some Asian drummers!
Bifrost X indeed!
10/10! Too good!
MUY BUENO ESTO , ACA ESCUCHANDO DESDE ARGENTINA A ESTOS ANIMALES Y SUS INSTRUMENTOS.
You guys have some good stuff. I'm loving the comic book pictures.
That last part in 13/4 is the best thing I've ever heard.
Can't believe I've only just found this!! Awesome track, love the end! Lush! 👌❤
Jorel Williams Official same here.this is very cool
@@dustinofficinalis2149 Always loved Adrian's sax playing with The Mars Volta, who are my favourite band ever! Such forward thinking artists. Covered a few of their tracks on my page. Check it out 😉
Jorel Williams Official can’t find your Mars Volta cover.I love Volta .
its like jazzy rock with a on the edge heavy bass undertone with a hint of lemon
So surprised a band this out-there are signed to sumerian, this is some awesome stuff
Great studying music!
20 people had their jimmies rustled
brgeg hrethrt One must become one with their jimmies, let them flow freely through you. Only then can you harness the power rustling within you.
Hermosura
This song is just too good XP
THIS SONG IS SOOOOO DOPE
I have no idea how I missed this band, this is dope
I love the begining so fucking much, I remember seeing a video of to sin playing that riff...amazing
Well I respect your views that's for sure. Even though it's not exactly the same as mine it's still valid. People have been bashing bands for years and years it's not new and it certainly isn't going away. I've had people bash some of my bands I loved over the years and I don't get butthurt over it. No matter how good the music is there will always be haters. It just comes with the territory.
Now this is I like!
Saxophone is such a sexy instrument haha. Love this!
Man seriously, best Fredrik Thordendal's special Defects cover band ever!!!!!!
Subtle pleasure.
Does anyone know where I could find more bands with this funky jazz metal infusion type sound? I've tried searching around briefly, but nothing with funky time sigs like this album has and also not as chill sounding, which is REALLY what makes it sound so jazzy funky awesome. Wish they made another album together! I've listened to Abasi and Reyes's other work like Animals as Leaders and Mestis, but it obviously isn't nearly the same vibe as this album.
And to people saying this isn't Abasi at his finest, sometimes music doesn't have to be ridiculously technical and insane, like his tunes usually are, in order to be awesome music. I think this entire album has a sort of flow to it that most of his work has never really even touched before. I feel like musicians should strive to experiment with different vibes like he and the other band members have done here.
Try Thank You Scientist. Not quite the same as this but I think you'll dig it.
try THE BAD PLUS if you like prog-jazz...very different, but they are pretty wild all the same
Check Stimpy Lockjaw if you like this.
One I've been listening to alot - not quite the same but Volto, Danny Carey's band.
kyle kogan Different indeed, but just what I was looking for! Thank you!
Coolest thing I've heard in a long time.
If you guys release a second album, it would be monumental
Idk why but this song gets me fucking pumped. It gives me the same feeling as some of after the burials stuff at some points. The same energy. And I'm not saying that they're at all alike but they evoke a similar emotion at times.
Such a sick album.
I know its been said, but 2:36 onwards is one of the greatest parts of any song. Ever.
Do you still believe this? I really like it too
This is some dank shit. And that is a compliment.
Beware of the human voice at 2:42, for those other hardcore instrumentalheads
The human voice is an instrument.
Hell yeah.
I feel so damn classy right now
Yep, him and Javier Reyes, the other guitarist in AAL.
@rustedanthem The owner of Sumerian was in a band called Reflux with Tosin Abasi himself, check it out!
gonna trip some shrooms to this whole damn album :p
@Pan damien i completely agree
Kinda sounds like Bonobo, and for this I have to say that Sumerian's definitely one of the best labels out there.
Tosin should do a session with Omar. That would fucking blow my mind.
D'J(AZZ)ENT?
Seven wizzays till sundizzay
xDDDDDD
Thanks for teaching me something new that I didn't know.
Cya later
my friend says it reminded him of johnny quest. priceless...
reminds me of miles davis
came for tram stay for tram
Coleman's good! My favorite is Cecil Taylor, mind blowing stuff
if the movie "naked lunch" were to come out right now, this would be the soundtrack.
Just a very modern, technical form of Jazz :)
I just wish there would be another album . This band is way way better then animals as leaders
agree on another album for sure, but better than AAL hmmm that's a stretch
Chris Fab na animals as leaders is pandering music
That's so exceedingly hard to believe.
Metzal. Impossible stop listening that linsey-woolsey stuff.
this is so fucking wild. genius bursting from every orifice.
There aren't rules to making original music. You're the only one who said it's jazz
I JUST JAZZZZEEDD
I love the fact that no one seemed to pick up on your sarcasm. People have no imagination nowadays, I guess.
Check out Trioscapes too, Dan Briggs is in the group!
holy fuck this is great talent
My headphones won't get loud enough!!!
Pretty sweet guitartone in a sort of... crappy way, yet still in a good way. Great music anyhow.
This songs difficulty level is so high that I couldn't even cover it on vocals.
This shit is insane sick
We djizz, while they djazz.
Ya dig?
lol...I agree with neutralnewt, everyone is entitled to rhythmic opinions, but in my opinion Eric Moore is an absolute beast on this entire album.
@rustedanthem Lols. Animals as Leaders is on Prosthetic records.
So this is that piece of music that Abasi plays in his Prog-Gnosis lesson!
Once that saxophone came in, all I could think of was Detective Squirrel!
Rip Harambe
GFY
when she started to sing the geese came chillin in on my skin.
