There's no better funk band nowadays than these guys.
Maybe they're not selling millions of records, but I can tell their music is somehow a way of developing the classic funk sounds with tons of respect towards the classics, but also looking forward, and by that they're making history

One of my favorite and newly discovered bands. First time I ever really heard them was at Lockn' Fest in 2016. I watched their soundcheck during the My Morning Jacket set and was diggin' the sound. I stuck around for the show and was impressed with their music. Been watching all kinds of other Lettuce shows on RUclips since. Funky and jammy, and pretty much all instrumental. I like it.
So happy that my friend sent me this song, after I sent him Medeski, Martin & Wood live, playing Queen Bee, with Medeski so intense on his unique keyboard set up.

Doing the interview with Caesar Flickerman, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble's (great band) "War" was playing. I looked more into their songs. Brother#1 saw I liked HBE. He showed me "Fly". Hooked ever since.
