I almost can't believe AAL went from recorded drums to this. Matt was just a flawless transition. the fact that he can play with computerized precision yet maintains a voice w/ dynamics is sublime

To be honest - and maybe it's 'cause I heard the live version before hearing the album version - but it sounds so much better live and the nuances of every thump just cuts through the mix effortlessly without drowning the other parts out.
This band truly will pass onto history as something truly ahead of it's time, there's just nothing out there like them, absolutely no metal band can fuck wit em....

You can get weirder and try Planet X or my personal favorite: Virgil Donati's "In This Life". All instrumental of course ;)
