After reading into the wiki on Seth's story, honestly i think he's a cool character, and i hope to see him return in street fighter 6, maybe returning with a more sane mind, and having new ambitions to chase once he beats M. Bison. Seth is just an interesting villain, a mechanical being created to be a walking replacement for Bison, and whilst trying to forge his own path, actually doing exactly what Bison wanted him to do. And after his defeat, getting revived by the person that struck the final blow, and due to a mishap causing Seth to suffer from psychosis. Like, he's a cool character, not only with the fact that his moveset in both street fighter 4 and street fighter 5 is almost entirely made up of moves performed by other characters [even from different fighting game franchises], but of course also with his story and, in my opinion, Seth will still be my favorite character. i need him to be in street fighter 6 though, if he doesnt appear i will be extremely dissapointed.

They're not reinventing the wheel here, and at least Seth has a giant yin-yang marble as a belly, which is more unique a design feature than any of the others have haha. @@saidi7975 I can see both of those. Dr Manhattan is another tall, jacked, bald, featureless guy, but he and Seth also have unnatural cool-toned skin colors that make them favor each other. Gill's alternate Spartan warrior attire in SFV makes him favor Kars even more in terms of gear. The biggest issue with street fighter story telling is that both the developers, and the fans, refuse to let go of the past. Everything has to always revolve and return to M.bison and Ryu. Seth was interesting, but the biggest bad guy still has to be M.Bison, so he inevitably gets undercut. And the one time capcom did move forward and leave that story behind was in SF3, and while that's viewed as a gold standard mechanically, it's rare we hear many fans speak of those characters positively. It's a shame, as I think everyone left with the wrong lessons learned from 3.
What is funny is in Project X Zone he is one of the villians from Street Fighter they made the bad guy you have to fight in and tried to make him big and scary xD
Seth (SFIV) is not a ditto fighter, he's a frankestein fighter, his moveset is just a combination of the existing moves of other characters. He's like Ogre or Honoka and I guess also Shujinko. SFV Seth is more of Ditto fighter in that he copies moves during the round, but only when you select the correct vskill. There's a bit of a frankestein to SFV Seth since he has some of Makoto's moves but they're mostly just aesthetic. What made him such a frankentein in 4 was that he had fireball, a command grab and a teleport. From a story perspective he is kinda underwhelming especially since they just used Juri to hype SSFIV then Oni to hype SSFIVAE. He definitely could fit as a final boss with wow, I have all your moves kind of deal but SF's cast is so similar to each other that he can easily feel lazy. He can do a shoryuken? That is so cute. Now let's see all the other shotos. If they wanted him to be hype as a frankenstein, he should have been able to raging demon in SFIV.
Excellent excellent excellent video. I really liked it. I just don't understand how Street fighter has been out since the eighties and we are still calling this man Rai-Yoo instead of his actual name Ree-Yoo.
S.I.N stands for Shadaloo Intimidation Network. Source: SFV April Fool's trivia game. SFV Seth does say die 1000 deaths because of his direct encounter with Akuma in the Udon comics. The axe kick from Makoto is from the encounter in the SF4 series.
Seth feels like a rejected Tyrant from RE. In particular, he looks like a more advanced ver. of the tyrant from RE Gaiden for the GBC. And the one protrait of Seth with the bloodied hand looking like a claw looks like something you would see from a Tyrant.
Your video was well done. I liked Seth. I don't like how they changed him. I would've preferred Street Fighter 4 to be his first and last appearance. They should've just moved on and spent MORE time on Street Fighter 5's poorly written story than let's make Seth more likable. Other characters needed more development time and SOME characters (Karin) got WAY too much screen time.
I wondered where SFV Seth got all the Greek inspiration from with the hekatonkeires move. And the stealing of the opponents move became more prominent. Very interesting design.
SFV manage to make Seth actually interesting and fun to look and play with, so I not against he made it back for VI, but as a last boss in IV he was the most lamest and forgettable boss in the franchise (fun to see Poongko using him in IV he actually make Seth look badass XD).
I agree with everything you said right up to the point that you talked about short circuit to make fun of one best kids movies of all time but what can I expect from top hat gaming man your idea of a good kid entertainment is probably Caillou
3 things about Seth: A pretty unmemorable villain They look like a blend of Silver Surfer, a yin-yang ball and Jiren from Dragon Ball Super in SF4 and basically just a genderswapped version in SF5 Has a masculine appearance in SF4 but a feminine appearance in SF5
To be fair I think nearly everything in SF4 was mad weak. Abel was boring, Hakan and El Fuerte were goofy, and C Viper felt bland with the presence of Cammy (and Decapre was basically Cammy). Juri is the only character I actually hoped to see again, and I don't think it's a coincidence she's the only one that returned to 5 next to an entirely redone Seth.
Is it written anywhere that Seth has Ryu's Dragon punch? I always thought it was waaaaaaaaay more like Sagat's Tiger Upppercut but maybe it's his similar frame that makes it look that way
Lesson of the story: If you screwed up making an underwhelming villain who never got a chance to shine, turn them into an insane, unstable waifu.

I know where that thumbnail art is from, you ain't slick😂😂😂😂
So Seth is pretty much a rip off of Dural Virtua Fighter
Yup, and of Rogue from X-Men in SF5.
Excellent excellent excellent video. I really liked it. I just don't understand how Street fighter has been out since the eighties and we are still calling this man Rai-Yoo instead of his actual name Ree-Yoo.
5:05 YOU BE NICE TO JOHNNY FIVE
Yeah Seth was a poo poo final boss man and a deep disappointment in this franchise
Seth is fun to play In sf5 well to me
Hi Big D, just wanted to tell you I think these videos are really good.
Thanks for making them.
Seth feels like a rejected Tyrant from RE. In particular, he looks like a more advanced ver. of the tyrant from RE Gaiden for the GBC. And the one protrait of Seth with the bloodied hand looking like a claw looks like something you would see from a Tyrant.
>Art In Thumbnail Source

YEAAAAAHHHH SURE YOU DON'T BUDDY
His dragon punch only has two follow up hits
Seth is literally the third child of Adam and Eve
Your video was well done. I liked Seth. I don't like how they changed him. I would've preferred Street Fighter 4 to be his first and last appearance. They should've just moved on and spent MORE time on Street Fighter 5's poorly written story than let's make Seth more likable. Other characters needed more development time and SOME characters (Karin) got WAY too much screen time.
Art in the thumbnail source is an artist by the name of Rampage0118
I wondered where SFV Seth got all the Greek inspiration from with the hekatonkeires move. And the stealing of the opponents move became more prominent. Very interesting design.
I believe the art in the thumbnail is from rampage0118, though watch out, they draw some... "Interesting" art
Correction, Ryu didn't kill Bison in SF2, Akuma did.
I can be wrong but didnt the SNK series "World Heroes" have a similar type boss and that game came out waaaaay before SF4.🤔
If he or she is not in sf6 then they can make a character related to Seth plus Also being related to dictator
m bison/vega
Easily my least favorite boss in sf history. He just kind of came off as boring and he wasn't that hard to beat. Gill and SFA3 Bison are my favs
Is it just me or Seth also looks like Jiren from DBS
SFV manage to make Seth actually interesting and fun to look and play with, so I not against he made it back for VI, but as a last boss in IV he was the most lamest and forgettable boss in the franchise (fun to see Poongko using him in IV he actually make Seth look badass XD).
BARE WITNESS TO MY LIMITLESS POWER
The voice actor slapped
I agree with everything you said right up to the point that you talked about short circuit to make fun of one best kids movies of all time but what can I expect from top hat gaming man your idea of a good kid entertainment is probably Caillou
3 things about Seth:
A pretty unmemorable villain
They look like a blend of Silver Surfer, a yin-yang ball and Jiren from Dragon Ball Super in SF4 and basically just a genderswapped version in SF5
Has a masculine appearance in SF4 but a feminine appearance in SF5
I always thought Seth was kind of cool, but his initial appearance probably would have been a lot more memorable if they had put clothes on him.
"Stupid short circuit movie"?
Those sir are fighting words
I want a Street Fighter tagbattle game... YOU ALREADY KNOW THE BOSS
Tandem Engines... SYNCHRONIZED
Seths 0&21 : WE... ARE SETH
I know who did the artwork for that thumbnail.....I see your also a man of culture
Did you intentionally use NSFW art for your thumbnail? Cause I know what that is from.
Hi, Apollyon.
@@nonexistent8820 👋🤗
Should do lore videos on Rolento, Sodom, Rufus, Deejay, Decapre, Hell 3000, Cyborg, T-Hawk, Poison, Hugo, Q, Twelve, Dudley, Gen, Gouken, Fei Long, Abel, Oro, Ibuki, Sakura, Juri, Dan, Blanka, Adon!!.
He was hard to beat tho :(
But the ball in the torso is cool
Is it written anywhere that Seth has Ryu's Dragon punch?
I always thought it was waaaaaaaaay more like Sagat's Tiger Upppercut but maybe it's his similar frame that makes it look that way
I did not think Seth would be fan-hated like Rufus, but it seemed to got better in Street Fighter 5.
Hey, Top Hat Gaming Man. Can you please do a Street Fighter character documentary video on Rainbow Mika?
You know, Seth also looks a lot like Geegus from world Heroes as well!
