    Your advice about washing the plate plus upgrading the firmware did wonders for me. After trying several times to print with glue and without, I was rather frustrated until I came across your channel. I saw your comment about washing the plate and I said "why not?". As I was washing it, a black oily substance came off the plate, and since then, all my builds stick nicely. Thank you!

      Happy to help! I'm working on an update-video now where I show off how nice the new firmware is working. The levelling and wifi-"issues" are history. This is a great 3D printer with all that ironed out!

    I own TWO of these printers.. one with over 300 hours now and the other with 260 hours.. both printers have performed BEAUTIFULLY! I have had ZERO issues OR break downs.. I bought the smooth build plates for my machines as well as I still use the original textured plates for PETG and TPU.. everything else I print on the smooth plates as adhesion is insanely good.
    The only small issues Iv had so far is when updating my machines to the latest firmware.. as I update them right when the update comes out and both times there was some issues I had to deal with until FlashForge fixed it.. so don’t update as soon as you get the message.. rather wait a week or so before updating the firmware when it asks you to and you should be all set there.
    I have printed just about every type of material out there with these printers, ABS, TPU, Nylon, PLA, ASA, Carbon fiber PLA + PETG, regular PETG, and even Silk.. this printer on the stock settings has printed every one of them with out issue!!
    With TPU I print on the standard PLA setting and I turn retraction down a bit.. prints perfect every time and super fast.
    For PLA the only setting I keep changed is the bed temp.. they have it set too low.. set it to 60c and you’ll be good.
    Best printers Iv ever owned and blows all my friends out of the water with reliability and print quality!

      yeah, this really is a good one. However, can you explain a bit more about the prints speed. how fast it compares to Creality K1 or Bambu Lap P1P/P1S actually. I really considering this printer actually. Can get as cheap as US buyers could but around the same price of Creality K1, i guess this might be a better deal. Have any suggestions ? About the print quality etc. As for the software, now it's open source already and i would like to tinker a lot with it. Can get it shipped to Malaysia at RM1940/$400 in 8-15 days. or 5M Pro at RM2622/$548@@3DPrintTechDesign

    • @3DPrintTechDesign
      @3DPrintTechDesign  4 месяца назад +1

      I don't have a DB-meter, but it's not as quiet as a Bambu Lab A1 Mini. It's similar to a P1S. So it's not super-quiet, but that's because you need to fans pumping for printing fast =)

    I got a question, I'm planning on buying my very first 3d printer and I'm going for an fdm type like this. Does these enclosed printers usable in a basement and not worry about the smell and fumes? Or do I have to vent it out?

    • @3DPrintTechDesign
      @3DPrintTechDesign  6 месяцев назад +1

      Well, there should always be some ventilation in basements anyways for moisture, but it all depends on the material you print. The filters will do what they can, but it’s not going to be perfect and remove all smell or particles. But if you print the smelliest ABS next to you without ventilation that will suck:)

    I've had the first FF Finder back in the day. Back then I was already impressed by the print quality and ease of use for the price. It's going strong till today. Sadly the Finder can only really print PLA otherwise it would probably have been used even more. This seems like a good replacement for it.

      I miss the finders as well, those were the bomb! I have a Adventurer 3 now thanks to 3Dprima in Sweden, never did a review on it, but it's a great beginners machine. Safe and easy to learn on. The Adventurer 5M Pro is really good. Just needs a little more software tuning to make it as foolproof and easy to use for beginners as it should be.

    Hi, firstly I want to say that it's a great video you made with very useful information about the 5M Pro.
    I have an unrelated question to this print but I'm wondering where I can get the .stl files for the Formula 1 car you have in this video, is it possible to buy or download these .stl files

    • @3DPrintTechDesign
      @3DPrintTechDesign  3 месяца назад

      Thank you so much! The Formula 1 car is my buddy Daniel Noree's "Open RC F1" project. You can just search Open RC F1 on Thingiverse, Pinshape or printables and you should find it =).

      Difficult to say if something about your machine is worse than others, it might be the perfect value, or way too much. Ease into it. Make small calibration changes and see ifs better. You can just print a line and see if it appears better or further from the plate

    • @keninthekitchen1562

      Its best to make micro adjustments and print test sheets for a look at the first layer as well as test for adhesion. That being said most people dont take the time to do this, however you'll thank me once you've tried this step and you have nearly 0 adhesion and no first layer issues.

    the problem is that these nozzle are very expensive compared to other printers

    • @3DPrintTechDesign
      @3DPrintTechDesign  Месяц назад +1

      Yeah, it's more expensive than a standard nozzle, but it also provides better extrusion reliability thanks to the design. And the change process is much easier than an old nozzle design for example, where you heat up, use a wrench and accidently break your wires etc. But yeah, it's a higher running cost for reliability and ease of operation.

    Why does it 5m pro looks so massive.. It's not that big.

    • @3DPrintTechDesign
      @3DPrintTechDesign  4 месяца назад

      Maybe im tiny! No but it has similar footprint of a P1-series, but less efficient (cheaper?) design inside. So the bed is smaller, as is the print size :)

    Woah stop with the cuts man! Very hard to listen to you with a cut every 5 seconds

    • @3DPrintTechDesign
      @3DPrintTechDesign  6 месяцев назад

      Any specific section you're thinking of? I try to cut down on pauses to make the video more efficient for ya'll watching =). I get it can look a bit choppy. You can use both subtitles and/or slow the speed down (on PC at least) to 0,75x if that helps. Also part of my process to make a video is to have written down my thoughts in a script, so when recording i can better build up the video. This can result in me sometimes looking at the script since I can remember sh*t so I have to cut when I look away and read haha. Should invest in a teleprompter....
