  • There is a flower, by John Rutter, sung by Quire Cleveland, dir. Ross W. Duffin, on December 5, 2015, at Historic St. Peter Church, Cleveland. The soloist is Margaret Carpenter Haigh.
Rutter set an early fifteenth-century poem by the priest and poet John Audelay - or, at least, five of its original seven verses - as a commission from the Choir of St. John’s College, Cambridge, in 1986.
Close-up camera work by Ken Wendt. Audio by Tom Knab.

You are very good and Rutter is really brilliant! My choir sang "Candlelight Carol" during one of our last performances. Write this in the search: you will love it for sure!

Beautiful piece, and well executed, but please ladies, get rid of that obnoxious vibrato!

If you don't like vibrato, then listen to men and boy's choirs.

@@jezra4427 Tim is right. This piece is not a performance piece as much as it is sung for liturgy. The vibrato tends to distort the diction especially in the acoustics of a church.
