You and your husband exploring something together and the playful banter between you is especially fun. I have to say you both have beautiful but different personalities that mesh extraordinarily well together. What a lovely couple you make.
I really appreciate and enjoy all the energy and enthusiasm in every episode, even though these productions involve a lot of research and hard work . Your joyful spontaneity, your honesty and total lack of pretentiousness is refreshing and makes you and your husband so lovable and relateably 'real', Julie. Every single episode is thoroughly delightful and leaves me enlightened (and selfishly wanting more!) and wanting more detail. ❤ Thank you and wishing you and your family a healthy, happy and successful New Year.

My favorite manor house visit was Pentillie Castle. The family seems fun. I laughed when Sammie greeted you with the leaf blower! The swim in the river made me shiver, as did the story at the mausoleum!
As much as I enjoy seeing other manor houses, I am equally fascinated with Mapperton. The collection of Alberta’s letters and diaries is extraordinary! As an amateur historian, I’m drooling! I have a single letter from my great-grandfather’s sister, and treasure it. What a blessing to have a huge archive!
Thank you for creating and posting these videos. One hundred thousand people (and I) think they’re wonderful!

Having worked in libraries and been a book seller also, my favorite was the chained library. I only ever heard of such a thing when I bought a comprehensive photo archive of an early German castle with a chained library among the photos. I wondered how that worked and now, thanks to your video have had a closeup introduction to this extraordinary method of securing books. Secondly the snake episode as I am horrified when it comes to them and quite afraid also. I think I would have sprouted wings and been airborne if I had been in that water where you were! Thirdly Dean's Court as I love history, gardens and am quite fond of Georgian houses. That said every episode has been interesting.

I am an American in Texas and I just found your channel. Love every video, Julie! I am guessing that the monetization of your RUclips channel here helps with your efforts to keep the manor running. May I make suggestions to further bring money to your efforts? You should have vendor support for your RUclips channel where there are advertisers who make a blurb at the end and wouldn't it be great GET to have travel agencies who will bring over Americans to your property. Also, I wish you would have a "shop" where we Americans can buy products from the manor (t-shirts, photo cards, British teas you like, etc.). Also, why not a book from all your video visits to the other houses? This will promote the subscribers for your YT channel. Julie, you are our Alistar Cooke historian and you can magnify your life and adventures for us here in America. I wish you all the success. Love your channel!

My favorite is the chained library. I never thought that there is such a thing! After the explanation, it just made so much sense. And I love💕 antique books. I also was so entertained by the podcast on making booze Christmas presents with Luke for friends. The part where he was taking his sweet time twisting the cover of the bottle while he was talking. Meanwhile you’re making him carry on and not forget to twist the bottle cover securely. So many fun episodes. Thank you for the respite from the endless Covid count updates on TV.

Aloha Julie & Happy New Year! I had so many favorite scenes! But, my absolute #1 had to be when you & Sammie were doing Yoga in the stone circle that her Dad Ted built in the middle of the Cow Pasture. Of course, you had your back turned, so you missed when the camera pans to the left revealing an entire HERD of Cows 🐄 🐃🐂🦬BEHIND you ALL stood on their hind legs with their front hooves pointing skyward ( heads back), doing the Yoga steps like "pros" (they did however have trouble with the ending part; 🙏).( those darn hooves)! Sammy did a great job keeping a straight face while all that was going on behind you!😉🦬

My favorite themes are your English cooking blogs, and the English countryside and your gardens.

My favorite was when you were hooked up to the leaf blower. It was nearly as big as you! Your videos are fun, England is beautiful, I'm sorry you're afraid of cows (and maybe goats).

I have two favorites. My first and the one I think I watched first that grabbed me was Queen Elizabeth's pool. I couldn't believe you actually did it and then when you did and all the muck...I was sitting on the edge of my seat certain some imaginary small pool monster was going to get you! My second favorite is picking apples and there is Luke up in the tree eating one.
    Love you both!

Hi Julie, I very much appreciate all of your vlogs, especially when you are in the garden or arguing with your husband. I'm curious to know if you have a 21st century goal in the garden, perhaps to plant a new cultivar or a new fruit tree. While some may eschew their contemporaries, perhaps someone like Alberta and yourself have another contribution for the estate?
