- This is the story of a young man who started with the classic surfing career. After Surfing his first big waves and pulling into big barrel and through the inspiration that is his good friend Kepa Acero, he found his passion for the exploration and the discovery.
Four years ago he found an area on google maps that looked like it had great potential. After waiting for a long time the charts finally revealed a swell that was traveling thousands of kilometres across the ocean and he knew that this was his opportunity.
Arriving in the fading light of the first day, the waves were small but looked perfect. But doubts remained: was the wave too fast? The next day all questions were answered, all the dreams and expectations were about to come real...

So awesome... it's hard to imagine that there are still waves like this that have been unridden for hundreds of years.
Too bad there is evil and theft in this world and the cost of exploring is not cheap . This keeps many from taking the Search on for a Surfari to find many surfbreaks of all kinds , meeting friendly locals and seeing the wildlife , sunrises and sunsets like no others seen and the stars in the night - sky without all the light pollution . Then when we get older some look back and think of the opportunities we had to go on a surfari or two but made the call not to go out of the fear and worries that we might not make it back to our precious land-locked job and the stress of all that comes with everyday-life if we let it control and ruin what we have leftover. Peace.
I'd have to say only .01% of all surfers in the world will ever get a ride like that last one. There was a reason why he was acting like a madman losing his mind!!!!

Why would anyone tell the name of a surf spot. It's like finding a smoking hot chick that likes sex. Then telling all your friends that she's also easy. I'd hide that shit and lock it down. Used to be surfers could keep a fucking secret.
It's almost breaking on dry sand... incredibly hard to make that drop and ride such a wave. Especially backside.

Praia de Santa Mónica is a sandy beach in the southwestern part of the island of Boa Vista in Cape Verde. The nearest village is Povoação Velha, 5 km to the north. The beach is adjacent to the protected area Morro de Areia Nature Reserve, which is important for endemic birds and turtles

This wave is a mirage. I'm guessing the waves they showed are the best waves he got? So, basically, he made it out of one? This is a great looking wave, but I'm likely to get longer rides at my local beach break. It's way too fast but they make it seem like it's Skeleton Bay. It's not. This is a 5 second wave max.

I don't know Tommy. They're extremely similar waves. Mick just caught it on a more ruler-edge day. Could have just forced him to paddle out in boardies to throw people off, or done some A-grade editing. Who knows. Ill bank on Mauritania or less likely, as no tourist would risk the dangers, Somalia.

He never really made one from top of the bar to the end. The music is a bit over the top for how many actual waves were ridden and made. It's actually just a really fast shore pound wave.
