i dont think bill really has the years left in him to build a franchise. it is what it is. i think if he wants to coach he could walk in at army/navy and run the WHOLE SHOW like he wants, retire where his roots come from, and stay in convo as the goat.

The thought of a Bill Belichek defense and an Eric Bieniemy offense is wild lol how could you not hire this man. Plus when he ages out of it just give EB the job.

It’s all about ownership control and don’t forget EGO. Owners have huge egos and don’t want to be outshined by a proven HC.

Bill is over 70 and has been absolutely terrible since brady left. At some point you can respect what someone has done in the PAST and still know they aren’t the best move for the future.

OFC he is, you hire a coach you want them to be there for 3 years? or hopefully 10 - 20? Time caught him and Pete.

Even though part of me doesn't want to say this it's not only that Belichick is from an era of coaching that's long gone but also he wants total control when he coaches & no team especially nowadays is going to give him that.

Watching Washington continue to find new ways to prepare to sink lower and lower then rock bottom is fascinating. This elite level of incompetence needs to be studied. I wonder how much worse they can get? I wonder what happens if they go multiple seasons without winning a single game? Fans stop showing up. What’s next?

Last coached game of Belichick in the NFL was a lost to the Jets. Can you imagine that?

What y'all ignoring is what teams are considering. This is a league that is what have you done lately and what Bill Belichick is done lately is lose a lot of games. There is no evidence that he can be who he was without Brady

It's very simple. The only reason why Bill Belichick doesn't have a job today is that the last four years happened, and they are harder to unsee than Peyton Manning's last games with Denver.

I think a big issue is I don't think bill would be content with just being HC and would try and make roster moves like he was still GM. But Bill isn't a good GM, he never was one. He was able to lean on brady his entire career to make up for his bad picks and made his good picks stand out more. I think Bill is simply too old and people are starting to realize Bill isn't as complete of a head coach as we all thought. He's a phenomenal defensive mind but he needs someone else to take control of the offense
