He was like Aaron Rodgers, better than everyone and ahead of his time, but didn’t as much as the guys who had better teams hence effecting Rodgers’ and Marino’s all time rankings.
@@KingCarolina_What are you talking about? Rodgers had a loaded squad almost every year up until about 2017. After that they asked him to do more with less. Stop acting like he was on horrible teams

This is why I hate the trend of measuring QBs by rings, it's so dumb, it's a team accomplishment and you just can't compare different eras. Montana, Marino, Elway and Young were done before 40 because they played in a rougher era. These guys would've had bigger numbers and longer careers if they played today.
Lol in the 80s? No. Maybe the 95 team would have been good still. Draft position would have changed though, so their high picks would be different. Yes. He would have made them better during 80s. Still don't think he wins it. Dan wasn't the clutch guy. Like rivers. Like Jim Kelly
Wow! I always always hated Marino as a KC fan. Even after Ace but wow man! He looks so damn youthful and healthy. Think about all the QBs of his time. He is by far the best lookin out of all of them. Much luv to all.
I still can’t believe the NY jets passed on Dan Marino and drafted Ken OBrien 😮😢 my brother a die hard jets fan still can’t forgive them , thank god I was a giants fan , but my poor brother still waiting for that superbowl 😮😢
Dans the man. It’d be so hard not to turn into a fan boy around him tho. 😂 Y’all did a pretty good job of not swooning too much. I don’t think he felt like he couldn’t accept a drink for fear it’d been roofied 😂
Wouldn’t have made $100M since it was a percentage of the gross which was $107M. Who knows what the percentage would’ve been but probably a lock that if he had gone for the percentage it likely would’ve been multiples of whatever the guaranteed sum he took was. But it makes sense why he just took the guaranteed amount. Like he mentions in the clip he had made his mind up that he wasn’t going to do the movie because he read the script and thought it was gonna suck but then he met Jim Carrey who came to their meal in full method acting form as Ace and he thought he was so funny that he changed his mind. Fair to remember that when he was making his decisions on this movie that Carrey wasn’t the box office star yet, with this being his first major lead role so there really wouldn’t have been much reason at that time to think it was going to be a hit. Granted after some googling Carrey was paid $350K to be the lead role, again this being his first major leading role, and this movie did so much better than anybody expected as did his next role in the Mask and so his money took a major jump later in the year for Dumb and Dumber. So maybe it would move been worth the gamble because wouldn’t think the guaranteed amount he was offered was a giant amount to risk if the lead role is making $350K. If he got maybe 3% of the gross the movie probably wouldn’t have had to make all that much for the gross to be more. Maybe he got a decent chunk being a star player and had something to risk and didn’t think the cross could get that much. Like if he got $1M then to break even essentially the gross needs to be $35M which prior to making the movie would probably have been an optimistic number. But if he was getting like $300K like Jim than it only needs to hit $10M which wouldn’t be that wild of a goal.
This guy was truly ahead of his time for QBs back then

One of the awesomest quarterbacks to just watch throw. His throwing motion and velocity yet with accuracy was so great.
I love Dan Marino I don’t care about championships or nothing. Dan is the man.
When Dan ruptured his achilles, he didn't give up and put enough weight on his right leg to complete a pass. Fucken stud!
Remember when cam wake blew his too? Fell down immediately got up and went after the qb...damn he was a machine
bro ! Now this is a mother fuckin name. You got Dan fuckin Marino on the show ! Bruh ! Big ups Pat. Keep doin what you do pham
"i take full credit for Jim Carrey's career" 😂
Best Dan Marino interview ever, great work by the Legend Dan, Legend Pat, and Legend panel
Dan is the reason I started watching NFL and been a Dolphins fan ever since . An absolute Legend💯🤟🇨🇦

He had those crazy twinkle toes as well. Footwork was on another level.
His stats are even more impressive when you take into account that DB’s were allowed to just manhandle receivers back in the day.
“We called him Redburg” Dan remembering his bullying days 😂😂😂
if you think thats bullying thats sad.....
I thought Marino said, "Red Bird," about the classmate's picture.
As someone from Miami, it hurts me he never won the superbowl.

Tone Loc tried unsuccessfully to merge Marino's royalties into his, as he had slightly more screentime and speaking parts
