That camera on the slider is awesome! I also use the smartplugs and Alexa to turn everything on - can't believe how often I need it. 😁 Also recently got the Elgato Prompter and it is the thing I've always needed but didn't know it.
@@iamlesliesamuel I have had a Glide Gear teleprompter for years but it sits in storage. It was always so much work to get your text into the app to reverse it, then set up the iPad and get it into the prompter without bumping it too much the shot gets messed up. But I use this new one every day because it's an extra monitor built in. Amazing.
Interesting. I have to look more into that prompter. I find the iPad app Teleprompt+3 works very well. I basically paste the text into the app on my iPhone. And then I cause my iPhone to control what's on the teleprompter screen on the iPad. It does all of the reversing stuff automatically. But I'm curious to see how Elgato deals with this stuff.
Dude, you make the complicated seem so simple.😀 I picked up the Elgato Stream Deck and the MEE Audio Earbuds. I'm looking forward to taking my video game to the next level. 👊🏽
Leslie, this is an AMAZING video!!!!!!! Thank you SO much!! I was wondering how you handle mouth sounds (not just the big ones, but the sludgy ones). I spend WAY too MANY hours excising them from both my audio and my guests' (and I need a life, haha, but seriously, I spend MANY hours every week). Your video sounds INCREDIBLE! Do you use something in post (I've tried AI, Izotope, etc etc)? But since you publish right away, it seems that it must be a pre-amp setting or a type of microphone? No pressure to answer, you've already given me more value than I could have imagined! Thank you again SO much. For this. And for WHO you are in our world!
Well hello there my friend. It's so great to hear from you again. It has been a while. Hope you're doing well. To your question, my answer is - it all depends, lol. It depends on what mic setup you're using. For my podcast, I have a dynamic mic that's close to my mouth. But you will see that I have this small piece attached in front of the mic that's called a pop filter. That helps with those things significantly. When I'm making my normal videos, I have a mic that's above my head and pointing to my mouth. That's a shotgun mic and because it's farther away from my mouth, I don't really have to worry about those mouth sounds. Lastly, depending on how bad the sounds are, you might be surprised to know that the only one who actually cares about it is you. Everyone else probably wouldn't even notice it. I would NEVER spend many hours editing because of those sounds. I would get the positioning of mic my correct, make sure I use a pop filter if needed, and eliminate that sound completely. It's a quite inexpensive fix in most cases.
@@iamlesliesamuelOh my goodness, Leslie, what a generous and amazing reply!! You can’t imagine how encouraging this is to hear. Okay!!! My co-host and I will get on it. Thank you endlessly!!!! You’re THE BEST (for a million billion reasons)!!!!
Always a delight to listen to you Leslie!
Thanks, Paul. I appreciate you.

Oh man - I LOVE using a teleprompter. Makes it so much quicker. I meant to go more into that in the episode but completely forgot.
