  • This week Im fully testing the Hasselblad CF 250 mm and also extending out to 500 mm . There's a fair bit of work went into shooting this roll of film . Im pretty happy with the results ! It's a bit longer than usual but hang in there .
I also show how I spot meter the scene for one of the shots

Just found your video, Austin. Very nice indeed. I purchased a Mutar 2X in the late 1990's to use on my 250mm CF and was very disappointed with the reduction in image quality. Only used it about 5 times and it is still in it's box. Wanted the 500mm CF but they were very expensive. Move forward 25 years and I purchased the 500mm CF. I actually like the high key images you took from the bridge without a yellow filter. I have moved from Delta 100 back to FP4+ and develop in 510 Pyro. The 250mm CF is a great lens as long as you can minimise all vibration.

If anyone wonders what I meant when I said I weigh less than I did before the dentist appointment . I had a wisdom tooth pulled out and I didn't crap my pants !

Hold the filter in front of your spot meter lens for more accurate reading

      Got a new baby today , CB60 f3.5 , selling the 80f2.8, wasn't getting used
That's me done on hasselblad kit building for a while , selling the Pentax 67 as that's not getting enough use

Love the meter setup. I have a scale on the side of mine as well.

Yes . When I use a sekonic I have to think about where things sit in the zone system, with the Pentax it's there in front of you

Hey, Austen. Lovely shots. I really need to visit Cornwall more often (and bring my Hasselblad with me, of course). My aunt and uncle live near Falmouth.
I have a question about your shots of At Michael's Mount... Is the video round the wrong way or the picture you took put up the wrong way round? 🙈

Christ I didn't spot that I flipped the images after the scan , thank god I'm not a professional!
I'm gonna leave it up , cos I'm human as can be seen

@@AustenGoldsmithPhotography Hehe No worries, buh. It happens. I was just trying to work out which it was. :)

@@MarkHickford it can be for another reason, the Hasselblad has a mirror alone, no prism, as in the video, so L/R are reversed, and if he took videos down the viewfinder, then that can explain the feeling of being topsy turvy.
