That speaker can definitely be improved by padding its interior. This should absorb any reflections and smooth out many of the not-so-pleasant spikes in its frequency response.
hello a greeting from ITALY. i bought alto ts315s 2000 vatt thinking about replacing my alto blak 15s which weigh 42 kilos, and are 10 years old, but i found that the old blak series has a lot more power. I was a little disappointed 2000 vatt for me by ear if it has 350/400 maximum. sorry for my English
dbSPL is the big difference, which is perceived volume. The V2218S can only do 125, while the TS318S is rated for 131 - 133. You will get much more air movement and output with the alto
Did your neighbors by any chance complain after you cranked that subwoofer and if they did complain did you get a letter in the mail or did they come knocking on your door or did the police show up at your front door.
Thinking about getting this alto sub untill I save enough for the ks118. Any point of comparisson for the price range. How many people do you think one single alto sub and 2 qsc k12s might cover
The KS118 is definitely waaay more powerful than the TS318S models. We used two TS318S in a large ballroom and it filled the room nicely. Don't expect a ton of punch though, these can only deliver that much air movement in small rooms.
I just got some from Menards. www.menards.com/main/hardware/casters-furniture-hardware/casters/shepherd-hardware-3-thermoplasticized-rubber-swivel-caster-wheel-with-brake/3546m/p-1444442246893-c-13090.htm
They do. Look up the spec sheets for any particular product for more information. It's also beneficial because it's a dedicated speaker. Most subs only go up to 80 or 90 hz, and most PA speakers only go down to 45 or 55.

Great review!! Very helpful!
Do you think it's better than the Mackie thump
Can 8 Alto TS318S 18 inch powered subwoofers be plugged into a 15 amp wall outlet.
No, that's an insane amount of power draw. Those would be regularly pulling 53 amps.
If you plugged them all into a single extension cable you will likely end up almost immediately melt the cable and start a fire.
@@Razeth so that means if you wanted to run 8 of them you would need a power distribution box.

What makes it better than the Harbinger.. Torn between the 2

@@Razeth Thank you. I was actually looking at the V2318S.
Any idea what the resistance of the 18inch woofer in this is?
Hi sir this subwoofer can use for full band music. Thanks
Absolutely

How do you feel using these after a while? I want them for live music applications. Can you share a thought?
They still work great. However I notice the price went up to 2k, you may be better off buying a JBL SRX828SP for way more power, and only $250 more.
Ummm these have definitely not gone up to 2k and is not a comparable product to that JBL
Can you explain how you put the casters on your speakers ?
They have holes, just get some large wood screws and screw them in
@@Razeth I got some and there were no holes.
Can that powered subwoofer be plugged into a rack Mount power strip or is it recommended to plug it directly into the wall outlet.
Always check your wattages/amps. If it can supply enough to the woofer and the rest of the equipment plugged into it, itll be fine.
What size are the wheels you added?

Yeah can you send me the link for the casters. Thank you

Do the woofers in pa subwoofers have a different frequency response range than the woofers in full range pa speakers.

how do you "burn" in the speaker ?
I don't recall if I said it in the video, but speaker burn-in isn't really a thing.
@@Razeth at 5:19 in the video. You were saying it was a little stiff and might need to burn it in a little bit
is it recommended?
For the money, it's pretty decent! It can go up to 849.99 which I would not recommend, but the 599.99 price is fair.
nothing wrong with this series of subs and tops, they are up with the jbl easy, no need for ugly rollers stuck on sub, use a dolly trolley instead
All audio measurements should be taken at "nipple level" from here moving forward!
Those things are $900 now.
How much does this cost???
599.99 USD in most markets
