my sister in law and i have both worked in ABA therapy, and something she finds helpful with her kids when they get up is the penny token system :) if they brush their teeth, put on pjs and follow through with each nightly responsibility, they get a penny ! (or any coin you have on hand, or stickers, etc) each penny means they get to ask a specific parent for a cuddle, to read a quick book, etc. if they keep all five pennie’s they get to watch an extra episode of a show or another non food related treat.

Hey Abbey, thank you so much for what you’re doing. Even if you don’t get a chance to read this I want to share how your videos have helped me.
To be honest I first stumbled on your videos when you reviewed Alivia’s Glow Up Diaries. And at that point I really resented you lol. I had just found her videos and as someone who has had different forms of disordered eating my entire life I was really connecting with her portrayal of binge eating and how she “got out of it”. I didn’t like hearing that the “mental strength, etc.” that was inspiring me to follow and lose weight was toxic. I think I disliked your video and tried to block that narrative out of my head… but it stuck with me because part of me knew the mentality I was thirsting for was the one of my anorexic eating disorder about 13 years ago. At times where I feel defeated from my now binge eating disorder I just crave for that period of time where I felt “in control” and was so skinny. Your review shined a light on the reality of the still very toxic narrative in my own head. I had no choice but to further evaluate what was going on over here on your channel.
I now love your videos and the scientific studies you bring to back your explanations, your chimes for more intuitive eating and not focusing on perfection. I’m so far from where I want to be in my health and relationship with food but I now find your videos to be very healing and in a much more healthy way. I learn a lot from you about healthy food choices in a more sustainable and accessible way. I also am getting better at on my own detecting potentially toxic narratives and individuals I may be tempted to aspire to because of their physical appearance when they actually also maybe don’t have the best relationship with food.
So thank you for what you’re doing over here and for helping me on my journey.

You are such a breath of fresh air
I have been binge watching your videos and you have truly changed my life. I wish everyone thought like you do and this stupid doet culture could just end. The eff up so many precious lives including ours. I'm a mother of 3 and I'm trying to re teach my self about food and relationships with each type so I can be a good example fory young ones. All three of them are so so different even from as young as age of 2 yrs and I want to promote them to honour their bodies.
    I just wish I found u sooner!

I’m pregnant and vibing with fueling two bodies I add about 100 calories to my main three meals then just my regular snacks throughout the day to stay energized, this method totals usually out to an extra 300 calories for baby

I love Poppy it's so cute 🥰🥰🥰 It reminds me of the dog of my childhood my cute old guy Peluche. He past away last year and I still miss him a lot. So I love everytime you show Poppy. I actually tried the cottage cheese combination with berry and chocolate chips it was so good but I don't know why I was not convinced with the texture of cottage cheese with the fruits and I'm all about textures when I'm eating 😅 so next time I'll eat the fruit with Greek yogurt instead and the cottage cheese with a toast and tomato

Wow I really aspire to eat like this one day. Vegetables and fruits are so expensive in south Africa everything is so expensive so we need to pay for petrol to go to work pay more for electricity. Work crazy long hours for salary that doesn't cut it the prices drive up on everything. So I'm definitely under eating. But I try to have fruit and veg everyday

enjoyed this so much :) I love how you don't stress about it but you remain mindful of adding the ingredients that will up the satisfaction and nutrition. I love how you worked.. worked out and finished the day in the same clothes.. no muss no fuss.. i love it.. it reduces the chance for procrastination.. oh i need to get dressed.. pick a workout.. etc. nope just get it in there. Motivates me for sure that it doesn't have to be perfect. You moved ... got your water in.. ate lots of good foods and made some decisions that made the day enjoyable as well. Thank you :)

I also need a huge bedtime snack (ok, it’s a full meal). I think it is because, like you, I wake up between 1-5 am so my day starts early and I have more time to burn calories and need more food by the end. I go to bed by 9:30/10 so I feel like I average 4 meals a day and a snack or two if needed.

Pleaaaase cover clancy burke. She seems like she may have issues with disordered eating - she only eats a handful of foods. She talks about being allergic to everything but 5-10 years ago she didn’t have these allergies. Who knows.

Question about your nighttime snack - which looks delicious - does it ever make you feel a bit sick to eat that much then try to sleep? I ate a banana once before bed and my stomach was not having it.

I used to take my vitamins that way until I almost legitimately choked. I was home by myself and it was so scary! Luckily my sister in law and her husband live really close so once I knew I didn’t need 911 I called her to come help me (she’s in the medical field). Cone to find out there is a bone in your neck that can get out of place 😳. I had a chiropractic adjustment but I’m still apprehensive that I will choke again so now I just take a few supplements at a time. I miss being able to take them all at once like this 😂

Hi Abby! I've been watching your videos everytime I can! I love how you speak about food, and love that your opinions are based on scientific evidence.
I have a question about the signalization of hunger and thirst and would love if you could answer.
I've been told by more than one nutritionist that the brain can confuse the signals, and think we're hungry when we are actually thirsty. I was never provided any evidence of it, and find nothing by researching myself. Do you know if this is truth? I trust you
