    I used to see her content alot when I was in the middle of the ED and it honestly contributed to my restriction. Now that I'm on the other side of it it is honestly great to see that she seems way less restrictive nowadways.

    I’ve been watching Sarah for many years, however as I’ve gotten more experienced I started to realise how unrealistic Sarah’s life is for me. I perceive her content to be sometimes performative and subscribing to “health influencer” tendencies at different times. All that to say, I don’t find her content relatable when it seems like her intent is to make it as relatable as possible. So I guess it’s not a good match for me anymore.

      I think you're right. She screams "fitfluencer" vibes. 25$ coconut kefir? Excessive amounts of pre- and probiotic pills and a whole dozen other stuff we can't even identify? This is a noticeable nod to diet culture and trends. All the while science is clear: these trendy things are overpriced and really only make your poo expensive. There is NOTHING relatable about that Sarah woman.

      When I started watching her, right when she was just dating Kurt and they were in their first apartment she was more authentic and relatable, but the more she grew her brand the more "health influencer" she became. I stopped watching her because I didn't see the difference anymore with her content and all those Instagram health influencers and a parallel to crunchy moms. (Hope that never happens to Natacha Oceane). I loved watching those contents of women who just enjoyed exercising cause it was motivating.

    While I get the critique I am confused about the constant bashing of Content creators diets or the way they prepare food. This is most of her Job. This is how she became successful, she's meticulous about planning her whole day with her children and husband. This works for *her*. Obviously this won't be realistic for anyone with more children, vastly different circumstances and most importantly: different priorities!! Just as a day in the life of a professional Athlete or Beyoncé wouldn't be "realistic" for me. But it is for a shit ton of "Influencers". 🤷🏻‍♀️

      That’s honestly pretty on par for Abbeys content though. She’ll do that or switch ingredients and complain about taste/texture. Or preach for 10 minutes to only eat intuitively and then bash someone for not including enough protein haha. Or she’ll say something’s great for one person, and bash the next person for doing the same thing. I feel like she feels pressured to bash certain influencers and will come up with anything to do so.

    I’m one of the people who almost always cooks from scratch when I have home office days. I have five minute meals for this purpose. A staple for that is frozen Edamame because they have both fiber and protein and if I throw them into something boiling or the pan it literally takes 30 seconds until they’re ready to eat. Same for Tofu.
    I also call them 5 minute executive dysfunction meals because that’s what I can make for my fam in the evening , when tired or just generally not in the mood for doing anything besides laying on the couch.

    • @nink199
      @nink199 Год назад +1

      @@21972012145525 I claim that nowhere. It’s PART of my meal, you can throw both into a soup that takes 4 minutes if you just grate all veg and use instant ramen or small pasta and it’s ready to eat.
      I usually eat some veg, tofu and noodle stir fry or grated potatoes with veg and egg.
      I just want to battle the notion that cooking from scratch is somehow unattainable. You can just look up some ADHD recipes if you don’t know how.

    You should definitely do a video on Paige shay. She claims to only eat fruit and vegetables and a crazy amount. She also claims to be a "low protein weightlifter". She definitely does alot of fear mongering (like saying chicken is 1000% fat) and promotes ED behaviors. Overall her content is very disturbing and just seeing the nutritional breakdown of her meals is scary, she regularly eats over the safe limit for vitamins.

As for Abbey, she is qualified, and although her advice not be tailored to everyone’s situation, she does acknowledge that. Her advice is general not personal, and has solid evidence. In Australia where I’m from there are no warnings or concerns around mercury when eating tuna that I’ve ever noticed. So that is probably why Sarah eats it too. But in the US and I’m guessing Canada have warnings are on canned fish like the tuna. I’ve been ordering the safe catch tuna ever since I’ve been living here. Perhaps lentils or beans, and if legumes are the issue, tofu can do the job! It's pricey though, so soy meat can be a great (way cheaper) vegan option too. If not, you can do eggs, cheese or both! Hope this helps :)

    This video is in such bad taste. Sarah had horrible symptoms from years long struggles of PCOS and switched her entire lifestyle up to match her needs which SHE sticks too. She is not trying to be relatable, she's a content creator she is just sharing her life, what she eats and WHAT works for her. You shed a lot of light on money and the need to be relatable. I think you need to look inward and start spreading kindness.

    So some people have been saying Abbey is literally the same as the health influencers....guys, it's good to be critical, but I have a feeling that some criticism seems to come from a "chronically online" perspective and, you know what they say about hammers and nails.....so, objectively speaking. she partly IS a health influencer! That's an occupation, not a "vibe". I came to her channel for regular meal inspos and a look at what supplements people are doing, and see if i want to spice up my life a bit, and I am entirely responsible for the decisions I make there. There are only so many principles to a balanced diet and conservation of energy (for weight loss folks), and those videos that are regularly uploaded and relate to most audiences are literally probably the most specific they can get without being illegal or unethical. If you want a private, secure, thorough consultation, youtube and public information channels is literally not even that.....so yeah, TRYING to balance "relatability" here is framed so negatively when in reality, there are statistically more prevalent problems one must cater to to address relevant issues. Would your local TV presenter try hard to appeal to the audience of a different town? Of course not. Would they turn away from real time response to do full time history documentaries because one seems like more research was done, more appealing to conspicuous purist value?? No either.

    I have been loving these styles of videos so much. I just wanted to ask if you incorporate red meat like beef and pork in your diet. Also, I was wondering if you had other white meats like turkey. I totally understand that you avoid red meats because of the environment, but there are many cultures that have red meat dishes. Do you eat red meat occasionally or is it ok to incorporate it in our diets?
