Hi sir im planning to supercharge my 86 zn6, for daily and track. how is the maintenance on your supercharged 86? Do you have a feeling that any time your engine is gonna blow up? Other than the supercharger have you done any upgrade in the engine components?
Hello 😊 Maintenance is pretty standard, the only thing that’s “extra” is changing the supercharger fluid every year. As for whether my engine is gonna blow up… it already did, last year, which is why I supercharged the car after rebuilding the engine. My FA20 has forged rods, titanium valve springs, and oil pressure modifications (by Abbey Motorsport), hopefully it’ll be reliable now after US$15,000 spent 🤞🏼
Great driving and the setting as well. I was enjoying this video bunch o times already. Thank you for sharing. btw what kinda oil pressure mod have you done? did you replace uprating pump? or the pickup changed? I m planning to have v3 charger just like you did , so I was curios.@@3782MC
Hey man. There’s about a 3 second difference, which is about right for Brands Hatch Indy (which is a short track without many long straights). On a longer track such as Spa Francorchamps, the supercharger netted ~11 seconds, here’s a comparison video: ruclips.net/video/pl6jMHHWL1A/видео.html
@@jasonosunkoya is yours a manual or auto? I’d expect there to be a few seconds difference just due to the transmission, as the AT has longer gear ratios (especially up top)

of course you post this on the day my silverstone track day was cancelled and I switched it to brand hatch indy instead LOL
😂 Ah that sucks! Brands Hatch Indy is a nice circuit, but can get pretty crowded as it’s a short track
@@3782MC yeah such is life. I’m sure I will still have a good time
What times were you posting pre boost out of interest

Thanks, that tells me I need to find 1 second more in my stock gt86 haha

Manual, but learning to blipshift
Needs 4.88 gears
