I am actually doing this tomorrow. I will make that jig. Thank you Wes.
Excelente recomendación Wes! No sabía este truco. Gracias por compartirlo. Un abrazo!

Awesome jig Wes. I've got a project coming up with some small molding, so this was perfect timing. Thanks!
That's the right way to cut small trim. 👍
That said, if measuring from the right end of the trim the mark needs to be lined up with the right side of the kerf. That first piece was cut 1/8" short.
Great help on small parts.
Great little jig Wes👍
been there done that----good video for safety sake thanx rick
I made it and I found it is worth using glue. If you cut at 45 left, then 45 right the centre of the unglued fence part falls out and doesn't support the trim. My 2nd jig is glued and I have added registration marks so I can easily put it back on the saw in the right place. This jig is a keeper.
Great...thanks for the comment! Wes
Thanks 😊
Good idea, thank you!
great jig. no blow out .
Good idea. I've also used double sided tape, but this seems to be a less messy idea. You have taught me so much already as a newbe to workworking. Thank you!!!
Yep, that's the way to do it. And use the correct blade and keep it sharp.
SHOULD YOU SET THE STOP SO IT DON'T GO ALL THE WAY DOWN?
What pin fun are you using?
Haha...if you don't like those little pieces pinging off the blade...seriously I cut so many small pieces I bought a top of the line hand mitre saw box...way nicer to use...
Sounds about right. What brand/model number?
@weekendwarrior3420 It's the nobex professional model from Lee Valley...I've probably had it 20+ years...back then they sold 2 models and I got the larger one...pairs nice with a sliding knife trimmer
So stupid. By the time you make a couple 45’s, 22.5’s, and a couple 90’s you have an open back. No longer does this work. Who cuts the same angle over and over.
