michelle's laugh is beyond hilarious and george's demeanor is so cute it's kind of weird to think that he's murdered 100+ characters. and sophie and maisie's friendship is adorable.
This is literally the best group interview I've ever seen. Rob McElhenney did such a fantastic job as a host. The engagements and questions were both great as well as Tyrions comedic moments.
SchrodingerE Yea, I am not familiar with the show, but I think he mentioned he had a show and that it was nominated for something at some point during this session.
zopiclone199 Really? I've watched just 16 minutes so far, and his awkwardness and inability to pose good questions (or to let the actors joke and not try to roll with it himself too much) has made this so uncomfortable for me that I think I'm going to have to stop watching. I wish someone could just get the actors talking freely instead of the constant stop-start half-jokes and mugging. And yes, he's great on Always Sunny and I think he is talented.
***** I find his questions (somewhat) interesting. You can only ask the same questions so many times before it gets tiresome, and his weren't bad. Considering this took place just after season 2 (I think, could be wrong), there is also only so many questions that can be asked. I also don't find him as irritating as many of the other moderators I've seen in the Comicon clips. GRRM is by far the best moderator so far, but he only did it once. It's a panel--no one ever talks "freely" unless they hog all the airtime (that's why you need a moderator). And given how tight-lipped they all have to be about future development of the show (especially when there are always idiot audience members who ask such questions even when they have been pre-told not to ask such questions), they can never "talk freely." So yes, "really."
Maisie should marry me. Sophie is sarcastic bae. Kit is pure. Nikolaj is mr. Mystic. Peter is a lovely comedian. Lena is humble. Michelle proud mommy. Ps: I adore those people.

the editing is shit. they have multiple cameras on different people at all times. notice how the camera doesn't pan when transitioning from each person. editing is slow
I mean his battle plans and his actions before breaking his word with the freys were amazing. The way he tricked Tywin and captured Jamie. Sure, he made mistakes but other people also screwed him another. Him sending Theon away, Catelyn releasing the Kingslayer, Edmure attacking the Lannister Army at Riverun. Sending Theon away caused him to lost Winterfell and as far inland as Moat Catlin. Bran and Rickon as well. He believes them to be dead so he lost both of his possible heirs. Catelyn lost their most valuable host and away they would have to been away to sue for peace. Edmure attacking the Lannister host caused them to lose an advantageous position and they weren't able to take out the mountain. Robb marrying a camp follower screwed him over with the Freys. I just love the way the world is written and even if someone fixed one thing. Someone already did something else to make the ending events the same. Imagine if Edmure listened to Robb and they killed the mountain as well as destroyed another Lannister Host. Oberyn wouldn't have had to fight the mountain and Tyrion might have won his freedom. If Theon wasn't sent to his father. The Greyjoy would still call a rebellion though they wouldn't be as bold to attack Winterfell as it's too far inland and Bran and Rickon would have been safe in the walls. And Robb would still have his heirs safe and secure. The Freys would have been reminded of the power and strength of the North and might have backed out of the red wedding and even if they didnt. Bran could have still continued the war with those loyal to the Starks. Arya could have went to the twins and she would have been safe and probably sent back to Winterfell by her mother and Robb. He would have learned that Ceresi lied and any leverage they would have over that gone. The possibilities are endless and it always keeps me thinking what if
One thing that Martin does better than Tolkien is female characters.I think Tolkien himself would admit that. I am pleased with Peter Jackson's efforts to remedy that in the LOTR films.
Valkyrie Sardo Tolkien would obviously admit that, but the two authors are complete opposites in writing styles, and Tolkien's time was one where women weren't as equal as men, thus giving the power to men in those books. Whereas Martin sets it during a time where women don't get it easy as men but can still have their own sense of strength with haracters like Catelyn and Cersei. Tolkien's skill in writing didn't come from the characters, but the world itself. The language was fleshed out the maps were fleshed out it was all believeable, thats what other fantasy authors try to capture when creating fictional worlds with so much detail that you can actually be immersed in it.
fuaudiha ajksdajwe I agree with that entirely. Although I believe women are in the same, sexist situations in both books, however with Tolkien the women aren't particularly successful despite the situations, whereas in Game of Thrones women, with difficulty, are able to gain power. RR Martin showcasing many female characters obviously helps with this. This by no means means Tolkien was sexist though - it's likely he just wanted a story about men, or he knew it was unrealistic for women to have this positions in society. Furthermore, due to the 'age' he was in, a book with a female, successful lead, may not have been as successful because readers would have seen it as stupid for a female to have power - perhaps it was entirely a money-based decision. And while I praise Tolkien's way with words, I also have to say that RR Martin's dialogue is absolutely incredible. The way they speak is beautiful.
I finished the show for the first time recently and it has stuck with me in a way very few shows have been able to accomplish in my life. I feel like it’ll always be a part of me and remain a goal for other shows to aspire towards. I’ll miss these characters greatly.
after watching the entire show twice, Alfie Allen & Lena Headey are the 2 greatest actors in this show. Alfie's performance is actually earth-shattering and I'm left in awe after some scenes (particularly when he has succumbed to Stockholm syndrome and acts fearful of Ramsay Bolton). they arent my favorite characters in the show; mind you, but the acting was just incredible. I mention Lena Headey because I don't think any actor/actress is so different from their character as Headey is from hers. she's so kind and funny in real life and to on a dime be able to transform your whole mood and face into something so stern & malevolent is again amazing.
there was nothing more exciting than the time period when game of thrones was about to air a new season. HOTD is filling the void, can’t wait for season 2!
God Michelle Fairley's voice is to die for. She's very gorgeous, too; so are all the women on the Game of Thrones cast. All blessed with good looks really, even the men, especially the actor who plays Stannis and Iain Glen.
Wow, it's 2020 and I'm enjoying this memory lane. I don't think they could have gathered all these great actors and procedures together in the final three season

I think maybe she was also going to say Robb, so she was like "oh, shit, I have to think about something else to say" cus she looked like she was really thinking hard while "sansa" was talking.
Why is it that Jack Gleeson is always missing from these cast panels. He's an amazing actor and his character is essential to the show? I want to see more of him.

maurodp99ify Mert is talking about Maisie having the best laugh.
"It's a story about loss. What each character loses along the way." Yeah, a head maybe?
So Dany will lose her Dragons?
Repins Watson I think Dany would choose her dragons over the kingdom... at least its how i sometimes see it.
monikavec A penis.
Repins Watson
nah Ser jorah will kill Danny at the end.
Gurucha also that
"Like with Massie my mum read the books." - Nikolaj. HAHAHAHAA!!!
Peter Dinklage is literally my favorite person ever
Peter is %1000 amazing, he had the loudest cheer when walking onstage and really shon throughout the panel, he's definitely a force to be reckoned with 💕
lena headey is awesome. her standard face expression alone is so damn evil.
Resting bitch face lol
MICHELLS FAIRLEYS LAUGHTER IS AWESOME
michelle's laugh is beyond hilarious and george's demeanor is so cute it's kind of weird to think that he's murdered 100+ characters. and sophie and maisie's friendship is adorable.
As a hardcore GOT fan, I am not ashamed to say that I was fangirling along with the crowd at every moment.
Oh Maisie, sweet innocent child. If you are going to play Daenarys you are going to ride more things than horses...
LOL. I HOPE you mean dragons by that statement!
Lollipopfop Haha "Dragons" doesn't really make it sound any better.
Everyone was thinking that thanks to what Peter said earlier xD
You do realize that Maisie plays Arya and NOT Daenarys, right? Emilia something or other plays Daenarys Targeryon, the Mother of Dragons.
Cynthia Moore Clarke
This is literally the best group interview I've ever seen. Rob McElhenney did such a fantastic job as a host. The engagements and questions were both great as well as Tyrions comedic moments.
This guy was actually one of the better moderators, aside from when GRRM does it himself.
zopiclone199 I don't know if you know or not, but he's the creator of it's always sunny in Philadelphia. He's a brilliant man.
SchrodingerE Yea, I am not familiar with the show, but I think he mentioned he had a show and that it was nominated for something at some point during this session.
zopiclone199 He was upset about the lack of nominations actually haha
zopiclone199 Really?
And given how tight-lipped they all have to be about future development of the show (especially when there are always idiot audience members who ask such questions even when they have been pre-told not to ask such questions), they can never "talk freely."
So yes, "really."
Oh when Jamie says his mom read the books.
What a guy.
oh my gosh peter dinklage is so funny.
true
He is such a bad ass I love that little dude.
lol yeh and he is only dwarf
wtf? "he is only a dwarf"?
dw I was just mocking you
Maisie should marry me.
Sophie is sarcastic bae.
Kit is pure.
Nikolaj is mr. Mystic.
Peter is a lovely comedian.
Lena is humble.
Michelle proud mommy.
Ps: I adore those people.
totally agree!!!!same feelings!
when lena said that cersei wants to BE jaime my freakin mind blew
It's quite ironic because she hasn't read the books and it's the most accurate thing about her character
True
The reaction of the crowd was pretty lukewarm but it makes complete sense
Certainly the smartest comment about one of the characters I heard from the cast during this panel. Smart and beatiful :)
where was this depth of insight in her commentaries? I guess it's what they say about actors uncomfortable seeing themselves on screen.

David Benioff's story about Jason Mamoa...
*THE GREATEST STORY I'VE EVER HEARD EVAR!*
I never new Peter Dinklage before game of thrones and he is an amazing actor. He's one of my favorit characters in the series. Cool guy!
Watch death at a funeral, the original British version
BeardedDudeFromSpace
Wait is that the movie where a few couples marry and one of the 'group's' friends dies? It's with that one actor. Damn, what's his name. The guy who was caught with a prostitue in America.
Goddammit I forgot his name too.
Ill google it haha. I'll definitely check it out! Thx...
It a takes place in one day and at a funeral, and is very funny, has the guy who played Wash from Firefly in it
BeardedDudeFromSpace Death at a Funeral is the name of the movie
BeardedDudeFromSpace He's in the 2010 version as well, and it has Keith David and Chris Rock :V
it's like the cameraman is 5 seconds behind the conversation...
the editing is shit. they have multiple cameras on different people at all times. notice how the camera doesn't pan when transitioning from each person. editing is slow
It’s hilarious seeing Sophie say Robb stark deserves the throne “good at the politics of it.” His politics is what got him killed😂
The possibilities are endless and it always keeps me thinking what if
His foolishness did
@Seth Sterner for sure the ending is ass
No it was his heart that got him killed.
Him breaking his word is what got him killed
Yep, but also have to take into account the social climates at the time of both's writings. They would've impacted those things somewhat I feel
Benioff with the Momoa story and Dinklage saying that he'd play Daenerys made my day!
how hard is it to film the person who is speaking???
One way to do it is to pan the camera.
1:25:39 Sadly, GRRM did not complete his railroad in time, partly causing the subsequent train-wreck..
Well put, sir. Well put
"Fortunately my books are so far ahead of the series"
That dates it
I finished the show for the first time recently and it has stuck with me in a way very few shows have been able to accomplish in my life. I feel like it’ll always be a part of me and remain a goal for other shows to aspire towards. I’ll miss these characters greatly.
Lol. I'm glad to hear television shows are accomplishing things in your life.
It's fascinating how the actors ally with and embody the characters and families with whom they are portrayed in the show.
after watching the entire show twice, Alfie Allen & Lena Headey are the 2 greatest actors in this show.
Michelle Fairley's laugh is beautiful!
Omg What I would give to have a drink with Peter Dinklage! What a guy!
Oh My God, I love Peter Dinklage!
fucking lannisters man
awesome on the show and awesome in real life.
especially the brothers!
When George says "I do play all the characters." WHOA. lol
there was nothing more exciting than the time period when game of thrones was about to air a new season. HOTD is filling the void, can’t wait for season 2!
i agree. it feels nostalgic
Smallest man, largest applause. Even more than the man that created his character.
Love this
Arya: just trying to get home
Also Arya: kills the night king 🔪 👑 ❄
David Benioff's cheekbones could cut glass.
he looks like Moses from Princ of Egypt cartoon
hooooooooly shit
His beard trim angle helps
I could listen to Maisie Williams and George R R Martin laugh all day long.
this is much interesting one half hour than the episodes of season 8
Agreed
How is Maisie so pretty and cute here?! That dress and hairstyle as well as the makeup suited her so well and the dress design is so nice and GoT!
Everytime you think the interview is getting cold, Peter just lights it up. Hilarious guy. :D
The first 4 seasons are the best season ever in tv history!
God Michelle Fairley's voice is to die for. She's very gorgeous, too; so are all the women on the Game of Thrones cast. All blessed with good looks really, even the men, especially the actor who plays Stannis and Iain Glen.
Stephen Dillane plays Stannis
YESSSSSSSS FRICKIN IAIN GLEN AND JORAH IS FLAWLESS!!!! He plays him so well. and he's got killer cheekbones! Iain Glen FTW
Sean Beans potrayal of Ned made me crush on him hard and Stephens portrayal of Stannis. I like how he grinds his teeth lol
Rob asked such great questions throughout this, great answers as well. Love this cast!
I love how George let slip the fact that others will be on the throne before the story ends. That's a big one!
They were so close to making a CLASSIC
Wow, it's 2020 and I'm enjoying this memory lane. I don't think they could have gathered all these great actors and procedures together in the final three season
2 and a half years later...still no winds of winter.
+checkthapain 3 years and counting
Lol
6 years and counting
Make that 7 years
4 years since this comment, and still no winds of winter.
Maisie's dress is soooo cute! I love the material design. 💗😊
Same!
I love Peter Dinklage's best fan encounter story!
Where is iiit
+Slumberous forests 58:15
Astroturf pants!
I wanna see that photo
Peter Dinklage is a legend
one of the best panels EVER... In any promotional or fan event...
this is so damn good, you dont see this level of genuinety in normal interviews really props to the entire team for this, nice to see past the usual superficial drivel of the media
I really love this interview. They all shine. I come to watch it again from time to time.
Am I the only one who thinks that Jamie Lannisters actor looks like a real life version of prince charming from shrek?
Holy shit.
Sansa is soo beautiful
Sophie Turner was a one of a kind redhead UK girl
Michelle's laugh is so contagious! 1:18:20 mark is just EPIC!
Peter Dinklage absolutely dominated this interview with comedy lol.
wow it's amazing coming back to this almost 6 years later.
look at how young maisie and sophie were 😍
16:00 well... it's is glorious. 'I'ts been glorious for a while" OMG I LOLED so hard.
Lena is so pretty! :)
David Beniof looks like he could be in the show....
Stephen Anna Marydas he is really handsome isnt he
There's a reason he is married to Amanda Peet
52:35 look how quickly arya's face changes when robb is mentioned
oh I hadn't noticed that lol, but I guess the Red Wedding had probably just been filmed at this point since the interview is going into season 3
nam flashbacks
I think maybe she was also going to say Robb, so she was like "oh, shit, I have to think about something else to say" cus she looked like she was really thinking hard while "sansa" was talking.
Why is it that Jack Gleeson is always missing from these cast panels. He's an amazing actor and his character is essential to the show? I want to see more of him.
TheOtherGirl the Oxford panel. very good
Hes working in a play and manages the theatre so hes pretty busy
He didnt actually enjoy acting for GoT interestingly enough
Idk why but everytime Peter and Lena speak in this video, I feel like I'm watching Tyrion and Cercei speaking
56:00 What Nikolaj says about getting rid of monarchy, and Tyrion doing it -- that's incredibly close to right!! Monarchy wasn't abolished, but aristocratic democracy was established -- that's amazing!
oh right bunch of losers voting on a guy they have no idea who even is very good .what an ending
