"I'd like to put myself into a wolf" - Jon Snow
He's always wanted to fuck ned
Sam Martin u wot m8
May have a double meaning. Read the prologue to ADWD again. ;)
Nic3378 I think you mean Jon XIII
Maurauth There are clues and foreshadowing all over the place.
I could listen to John talk about stuff for days. He's always so witty and intelligent.
TheErebusGaming This is why i love Sam so much!
TheErebusGaming if anyone noticed, John touched himself a number of times when he got excited talking about his roles. It's habit, I suppose.
Arguth Reinark Okay, I'll say two things about this.
First of all, holy hell is that a moronic thing to be doing. I mean, you think some dumb internet petition will change the story of a multi-million dollar series? C'mon, that's ludicrous to even think.
Secondly, and more importantly, (SPOILERS TO FOLLOW)...
Jon IS coming back. Of course Kit said he won't be in the show, that would completely ruin the purpose of the last scene of the season. Jon isn't dead, or at the very least, isn't staying dead. Jon is THE pivotal character of the whole series, and he's still got a role to play. He's not gone from the show, and I certainly expect to see him next season.
Actually if you read up on Kit in the web he's cut his contractual hair. That means he won't be back for season 6 and he's got no intelligent reason to lie when he says he's not coming back next season. What I'm thinking will happen is that your actually right to say he's a pivotal character and has a crucial role to play. But we'll only be seeing him as a 'body' next season, and inside a dire wolf ghost to keep jon's body recoverable while it's conserved and taken to the wildlings. Then he'll be ressurrected as Azor Ahai so he'll either come back as a different character or we'll be seeing Kit again for Season 7. Kit had a contract till season 6 but with 7 as an optional clause. That means it may be up to Kit if he's coming back or not though I think he may be done with the series and he intends to get into more movies and other projects. Though personally I think it would be better if he does come back, however I think he won't because he's supposed to have a new look. As for the petition, your sort of right but I think D&D do care about how fans and viewers feel about certain characters. So it may not change the show but it always has an impact for Jon Snow as a character and for GRR Martin.
TheErebusGaming I agree he has soft mellow voice!!
1:13:10
Ian McElhinney, like us, is a fan of the books. He read the books long before the show. And the way he got treated by David Benioff and Dan Weiss, the showrunners, for being a fan of the books is really sad.
It happened before the filming of Season 5, when the actors got their respective scripts. D&D phoned and told him that his character was going to die in Season 5. Being the book reader that he was, he responded with, "Are you sure about that?" and they confirmed that Barristan was going to die. Ian wrote them a letter, explaining that Barristan was supposed to have a bigger role that season. Barristan is a Point of View character in A Dance with Dragons, and had some really great chapters. And GRRM even released one or two POV chapters of Barristan from the upcoming The Winds of Winter for us to read. Ian was hoping that it would finally be Barristan's season where he'll have a story arc of his own. He wasn't happy with how D&D had dealt with his character.
That didn't stop D&D. The character was killed off anyway, and in the worst way imaginable. Ser Barristan Selmy... Barristan the Bold, a living legend, an Arthurian Knight in George RR Martin's universe, killed in an alley like a footsoldier by some masked men with knives.
After Season 5, there was an interview at Oxford Union and D&D went there. At one point, the interview drifted off topic and D&D said, "We make phone calls every year when a character is going to perish, and this year, for the first time, we got some push back where the actor said 'Are you sure about that?' and we said 'Yeah we're quite sure you're going to die this year' and then there's a long conversation and we get a long letter explaining why this was a bad idea, which just made us want to kill that person that much more." Of course they didn't mention this person's name but it was clear they were making fun of Ian McElhinney because Ian later confirmed it all.
"Which just made us want to kill that person that much even more." This is low, even for D&D, this is low. A guy questioned the shitty way they were handling the characters and their ego made them want to kill him off even more. Ian, in this case, is just a fan like us who had read the books way before any of this and was passionate about them and didn't like what they were doing to characters, and complained about it, just like we are doing right now after they ruined a lot of our favourite characters this season and even before this season and these two responded to the complaint like the absolute narcissistic dicks they are.
I never read the books (but plan to) and I certainly thought Barristan was wasted potential, glad to see he'll have a bigger role in the books.
Honestly I think this is an, at best, iffy take, and here's why. Now, I actually agree with you that I found how Barristan went in the show pretty disappointing. I've still never read the books, but from the last couple years now of watching so many recap vids and reading Reddit threads, etc, I've gotten to know a fair amount from them. But D&D as showrunners, they have to ultimately be looking at this thing in more of a macro way (partly why I also think it's a little silly seeing the other comments around here of people bitching that those guys are hazy on who exactly had POV chapters in the book and who didn't). Of course most any actor aren't going to want to be killed off a show, unless in special situations where there was certain drama going on from before (sorta like Mr Echo character in Lost), and then certainly not if their death doesn't come in some overtly obvious honorable, badass way. Frankly, I'm not entirely sure it wasn't a bit out of line what McElhenniy wound up doing, how far he took it, and that's even before he went and remarked about it on a talk show. Book to screen adaptations, by definition there's going to be significant changes, even more so the longer a series is. They're supposed to make this big alteration, just because the actor, who's not even a lead (as much as there could be considered "leads" when it's a giant ensemble show), has a problem with it? And whether that's just going by what he's done all on screen so far or out of knowledge he knows himself out of the source material that's yet to be adapted.
I mean Oberyn Martell became incredibly popular in the fanbase pretty fast. What if they wound up taking any of that consideration and decided to totally change his season 4 ending to keep him around longer? Granted I realize in a practical sense that's the total opposite, keeping an actor around longer instead of ditching them earlier. But maybe the primary thing of what drew Pedro Pascal to the role was getting this amazing single book-long storyline, that it was basically self contained? It still could've provoked a similar situation where an actor became unhappy because his personal wish and knowledge of the books wasn't being catered to enough by how the writers were adapting. D&D were overseeing a titanic of a machine here, as with any writers, they're going to make changes that produce great results, and some that are not so kindly looked upon. I've seen plenty of book readers commend the show for handling certain things in totally different ways. My point is, just taking it from the point of view of D&D, I don't necessarily think the uproar that McElhinney felt and caused made him completely in the right, if you will. You can't second guess yourself to that sort of level just because this one actor hates how something storywise has changed.
@@kevinw712 Someone speaking some sense for a change and writing thoughtful comments - it's refreshing! The way some fans speak on these threads is really childish and nasty. I agree with what you have said here, a rational and constructive comment.
its the season they hit the shitter with aryas braavos plot, stannis and dorne alltogether.
ser barristans misshandling is just the icing on the cake of shit they sent out of their kitchen.
@@kevinw712 I find it funny how you haven't read the books yet you still defend how things went down in contrast to the series, especially when time has proven that D&D are incapable of good writing without the source material to carry their work. Most people agree that what they did to barristan was a stupid move and a waste of a great character, of course it's going to be criticiziced, especially when the way they kill him doesn't make any sense. Even as a plot device it doesn't do much for the show either. Making a legendary warrior lose to commoners with knives is like writing for a worldclass heavy weight boxer champion to lose a fist fight against a group of the average untrained men, it just doesn't work out logically. The death of Barristan doesn't make sense in almost any way, it's doesn't feel satisfying, it isn't memorable and it hardly moves the plot forward.
1:13:10 "Which just made us want to kill that person that much even more." You ruined Barristan the Bold, a legend, just because you didn't like Ian McElhinney. Very low.
I’ve come to realize that both Dave and Dan are SO fucking incredibly childish. Imagine being SO petty that you are adamant about killing off a character on your TV show because you don’t like their actor. They fucked over McElhinney and Barristan good in S5 and I’m really beginning to think they fucked over Nikolaj and Jaime’s character arc because Nik said something that they didn’t like. 🙄🙄😡😡 Seriously, FUCK both of them.
@@enidrhee-grimes7621 Not childish mate. You get away being like that when you are a child, at most called for childish behaviour, when an adult, a professional acts this way its petty at the very best. I would use dickish instead...
Was looking for this bit in particular, thanks mate.
after that sentence, you see Jon snow breathe out like "here we go again, those fuckers", and Sam tarly need to talk right after that to prevent an awkward moment
Dickhead & Douchebag... they absolutely deserve all the hate they’re getting now...
haven't even started asking questions and they're straight to the free booze
Well, it's free! Who would refuse?
tom campbell The Oxford Union isn't short of a few bob. Drink their booze.
tom campbell Genius though, gets them talking more and it's easier to get spoilers out of them. Also, free hug.
tom campbell It's water. Blue top still, green top sparkling..... just spotted the vodka
i love these comments hahaha
John Bradley comes off as a really smart guy. i hope to see him in more great shows in the future.
You didn't notice his rude behavioral interactions with Kit then.
Formal of informal. There's no excuse behaving like an ass to your comrade.
The producers and even the crowd go silent when he shows attitude. You're just really out of touch.
nah, you just dont have a clue xDD
agreed. The fat guy seems jealous or something of Kit.
@14:20
Thinking Sam wasn't a POV character. These guys were didn't give a flying shiz.
That's some quality cringe right there. He even asks "What book?" with the tone of a snotty teen
@PaPa Makichu Not just season 8, but season 6 and 7 too to a lesser extent.
@@reallychadical I don't think he had the tone of a snotty teen, he sounded genuinely confused. Still quality cringe though.
@What ? Overall yeah, season 6 was fine but there were some really bad episodes too. I think it depended a lot on the episode director.
@Deepak Kool What "working" - all those stories were done by Martin - they just copied him. And how do they know they "work"? Dan and Dave are from rich families.
i think they still had some space for some more water on that table
Hahaha I was thinking that. It's so odd
water,I figured it was booze to loosen their tongues
+Scrooge Mcduck yeah, there was def some booze
It's Strathmore spring water. They were all quite sober.
Silly, thats no watter, thats vodka!
22:13 I love Kit's face when he realizes what he just said. LOL.
Then D turned to face him and said to him "two words for you, season 6"
allia conwell yes, so he isnt dead then huh!
Aaron Smith well based on how D responded when Kit said he likes to warg, my own interpretation is that Jon is likely going to warg... well on the book he is a warg
allia conwell i agree, cool, :)
Tatiana Galvao OM he actually gave a spoiler!!!! the producer said season 6 when kit said he want to be a warg! maybe its a sign that he will be inside a wolf on next season!!!
Kit: My favourite TV shows have got sex scenes in them
Bradley: they're not strictly speaking TV shows
LOL
What cracks me up is, going from this interview at least (I haven't seen very many featuring the both of them), Kit and John sort of come off almost as like a reverse Jon Snow & Sam.
They dont even know sam is a pov character in the book ffs 😂😂😂 even the actors knows that..
Btw the actor who complained about his death with the letter was the actor of Baristan Selmy :D cant blame him, Bari still alive and well in the books
Valar Morghulis...
Yeah, annoyingly too. I bet he will eventually become jons personal guard too when he learns that jon is the rightful heir.
Barristan dying is so stupid. Why did he get killed by a bunch of rich people who've never held a knife before?
His character was killed off because he was so difficult to work with as an actor
@@MattHew-dt3hk stop spreading lies.
So adorable how Kit instantly answers that he would've stayed with Ygritte!! And he did :')
John Bradley deftly handles even the most inane questions with wit and flair. Definitely my favourite panelist from the cast.
Honestly, John's speech about Samwell at 55:10 needs to be way more appreciated. He described the character beautifully
Danziii Well.. What do you mean by appreciated?
@@yumixxq I just that it would've been lovely if they had clapped him
@@Danziii Mummers and monkeys require applause. So did Aerys, for that matter.
Kit Harrington "Man this is weird. So many obsessed fans..."
John Bradley "Man this is awesome! So many obsessed fans!"
I think Kit is just shy... He always seems very timid and quiet during interviews.
+Amiee Ann he more so comes off very humble and polite.
+Calvin Klein Yeap. Not really shy.
+Calvin Klein He may be both those things but he certainly seems to be a very drab, boring and unlikable person. Imo anyway.
Deviouspinkies You just commented exactly the same words on another thread. May I ask if there's anything other than your humble opinion that drives you to repeat yourself in different threads over someone else's character, sir?
"I'd like to put myself into a wolf."
I laughed too loud and people in the room stared at me. O__O
Your icon is a masterpiece.
Sam Martin Thank you!! :D

***** Just keeping you in the loop of my awkward moment from 21 days ago!
aKrazyGuyUKno I laughed harder than expected too hahaha
I just love how for a majority of the interview Kit was literally just staring into space
We should go for a bicycle ride together sometime Esther...
John bradley is cool as f#ck.
@@grimreaper9477 annoying? Lmao, it's annoying that I had to read your opinion of such a lovely character and person.
KevinKnox Playlist well looks like the pussy deleted his comment lmao
His relationship with kit brings me so much fckn joy
Kit's resting facial expression is something I can relate to. People are constantly telling me to smile, or that I look sullen - even angry at times - and the funny thing is, they are spot on 😂
Tell me about it. Ever since I was a child everyone used to ask me why the long face, when my face was neutral and I was feeling fine. My miserable resting face comes from my father's side of the family - all four brothers' standard facial expression was that of pain - and doesn't get any better after you reach middle age, in my experience (in fact, the opposite it's true).
Got to love John Bradley and his relevant answers.
œ U w U OHH YEESS.
Sir Kit i love the way you talk so humble and intelligent happy to be your avid fan.
I love Kit`s melancholy temperament. He is silent, even gloomy, he is shy. At the same time he is very nice does not give a negative impression
15:41 to 16:05 sounds like Sansa holy shit :O
You're right LOL
wow you weren't kidding. WTF!?
Not really.
I started reading the comments to see if anyone else thought the same xP
Exactly! Haha
I love the show. But my heart sinks a bit when I realize that Im not going to experience the end of this tale through the source material. GRRMs writing is the reason why everything exists, and its the way I always wanted to experience the story
That's why I wont watch season 5 and on, until all the books are released. I makes me so mad they didn't wait before starting on the adaptation, and now they're going to spoil the fans.
mad? its not their fault, lol. How did they know all those years ago
They should have waited for more books to be out before adapting it.
again, people can't predict that shit..... GRRM had only 2 books left to write then they premiered season 1. Its not their fault its been 4 years and no book yet. Its no one's fault. Shit like this can't be predicted, and even if it could, there is a window of opportunity to get things done. HBO ordered the pilot at a certain time, it was pitched at a certain time, and GRRM signed off on it.
Actually, when the first season was released book 5 wasn't even out yet, so they perfectly knew how long George could take to write the books. It had been 5 years since AFFC and 11 since ASOS.
In the light of those facts, I'm expressing a simple opinion: I wish everybody would have waited a bit more, including George. It would have kept the show from spoiling the books, and they could have chosen better what to keep or remove from the storyline with more distance.
And even if that small window was the only window during which the show could have happened (though I doubt it), I still feel disappointed, that's all.

Sam's actor seems so different than Sam.
But John Snow's actor seems pretty similar to John Snow.
so true hahaha
Jon. Not John
Jason Sunderland who
That might be because Kit has the same expression basically all the time lol. Seems like a really nice guy, but even when he's joking he looks gloomy.
So different from Sam
21:42
John: He's...he's very teflon
Kit in the Background: Teflon?!
😂yeah, that's a funny moment
To capitalise on a point they made about Joffrey/Jack Gleeson. Jack Gleeson really did something that shows true greatness in a show/film which is to completely commit yourself to a role that has you forgetting that there is an actor/actress playing them, and that this person is genuinely evil.
Brilliant performance by Jack Gleeson.
How are those writers so good looking?? Writers aren't supposed to be handsome! Just look at Benioff's hair and beard. It's absolute perfection, sculpted by Gods themselves.
they look like they should have MBAs not MFAs.
And benioff is married to amanda peet. Good looking couple
agree specially Benioff i mean he's seating next to Jon Snow and i think like he's stealing the spotlight there:) plus there is nothing more sexy than intelligence
MsJilsephonie He kinda looks like Harrison ford as Indiana Jones lol.
*Sighs* Stereotypes -_-
Feels odd when Jon Snow refers to Sam as "John" :)
John Bradley just steals the show here. He's incredibly entertaining.
Samwell Tarly simply bosses this gig. Those are the flippin' DIRECTORS OF THE SHOW but Sam's analysis is far more interesting.
It would have been hilarious if the girl he hugged had whispered in his ear, "For the watch," and then proceeded to stab him multiple times.
lmao
+Kevin C. pahahahahahaha. nooo, one time is enough.
We should go for a bicycle ride together sometime Sarae...
No. That would have been mortifying. Not funny at all. This is Kit Harrington not Jon Snow here, buddy.
Eyram Drah yes so funny!!!! To see someone get stabbed hilarious?!?!!!
My gosh Kit Harington....you are GORGEOUS. I am stunned watching all these videos
"It's just Jon Snow's type" i imagine that girl lost her shit when he said that haha
Can't believe nobody clapped at 1:03:55. That was really nice and sincere what David said about Kit and it deserved an applause, instead the audience just leave them awkwardly hanging and toasting one another. WTF was that.
My thoughts exactly.
+Justaperson That's because they're British [mostly]
This is England they laughed politely then sat in appreciative silence, it's what we do. There's no need for whooping clapping and cheering at the end of every sentence
+thesimpsons17 whooping and clapping like they did several times during the interview
thesimpsons17 thats true, I'm Australian and our culture is pretty similar to yours and we'd do the same as you. I think my perceptions of some things have become Americanised aka fake, due to its over saturation on television.
This is by far the best interview with Dan & Dave and cast members from the show that I've seen - much better than any Con panel - as it's more relaxed and conversational. You can see how they're good friends - and why John Bradley is good for morale! Makes me imagine that I'd enjoy hanging out with them at a bar or a restaurant and chatting. Good, interesting people. Thanks for posting.
When the actors are smarter than the writers, lol.
When lobotomy patients are smarter than the writers
Ofcoz coz they 're the ones that entered the world of Ice & Fire 😂
This is probably my favorite Game of Thrones interview. The audience is smart. I like the fact that they don't just ask the actors the questions and actually ask David and Dan in-depth questions. It's much more informative than other interviews.
I mean they are going to Oxford so you would think that the questions are not going to be stupid
John Bradley and Peter Dinklage are the wittiest actors on the show.
Or Lena Headey
@Australiantatious true, and Rory
Check Kit's bromance smile at 55.45 when Sam/John talks about the need to be loved. Nice.
Can I just have someone that looks at me the way Kit looks at John
36:51 Talking about Jon's mother:
"If I don't know sam wouldn't know"
*David and D.B Drink*
S07E05 - Sam wouldn't know!!
I love the level of respect it seems Benioff and Weiss have for John Bradley-West in regards to handling interviews.
It almost seems like they brought him on because they knew he has an extraordinary talent for this sort of thing.
1:13:40
If they had read the letter, maybe they wouldn't have massacred the show.
It's much worse when you consider they were talking about Barristan Selmy. Not only a main character in the books, but a point of view character as well.
@@miguelzavaleta1911 and a fan of the books
Louis Juarez who ?
What ? Don’t be daft. He was in the right to ask them if they were sure. They should never have done it in the first place, then mock him. They’re smug assholes
No, it's because the prematurely killed one of the main PoV characters for essentially no reason at all other than to throw a little drama into Dany's Essie shenanigans. This would be like if they killed Sam in season 5 to create more turmoil with no payoff.
John Bradley and Kit Harington are such down to earth friendly guys. Really loved seeing this side of these humble unprecedented actors.
Thank goodness they brought John Bradley with them.
Kit Harrington - "I'd like to like put myself into a wolf."

D&D - "Two words for you - Season Six."

Never gonna happen ;-)
Nils Engman you havent seen the new book nobody has lol. so you dont know that.
Jordan I know. I just don't think it will happen. I think that the Others will claim him and groom him to become the new Night's King.
If they follow the canon...and most speculation points at it (SPOILERS BELOW)
I believe Jon will get stabbed in episode 8, but will return (in what form? idk) in either episode 9 or 10). The reason being because there is no way his coming back to life won't be spoiled before season 6 airs. His agency will confirm, he'll be spotted on set...there's no way the show runners will want it to get out, and they won't be able to contain it..so like I said he will "die" and come back to life this season,
kevinGT835 I think the laughing is because of phrasing...
also at 28.20 when kit talks about how he loved season 2 david and dan just look at each other and smirk. * cough cough* rose leslie maybe??

all these people and nobody asked kit how he learnt to do that thing with his tongue.

@@benfreedom9737 His wife.
John Bradley is an exceedingly witty individual
I'll never get tired of his reaction after he says "I'd like to put myself into a wolf." That face of realization is just perfect.
It's so great to see them giving more credits to the directors of such fantastic show instead of just focusing on the actors.
When he says that Tyrion doesn't have a response for the red Wedding, he DOES have a response, just not a vocal one.
His response is "How will people ever trust Lannisters again?".
And that is the reason we uphold rules, even if we are egotistical.
You can hear David Benioff and Kit whispering when the guy in the audience asks for a hug for his friend. At 19:43 they say "So what do I do, do i give her a hug?"- "Idk" and when kit comes back Benioff say "oh man"
John Bradley is articulate as all get out. Can listen to him all day.

They’re disgusting. May they rot in hel
I've been binge watching GoT interviews, but for some reason I stop halfway through and look for this one to watch all over again.
You barely come across a youtube video that is longer than one hour and actually worth your time but this totally is, those are such great and talented and interesting people
John Bradley is a gem.
John is so funny. He would be awesome to be friends with in real life. Also every time Kit laughed or smiled was such a treat.
1:13:11 He's absolutely talking about the untimely death of Ser Barristan when it came to push back. And note the little smile from Jon when they are talking about the phone call: he never got one
Never realised John Bradley was so funny!
It's really amazing to see a group of strangers become almost a family, I only had seen this happen during the Lord of the Rings series so i'm really glad that the show must go on.
I think Natalie Dormer and John Bradley are the actors with most brain power in this cast. I never thought I'd say that but in this case witt is overpowering looks. I love Jon Snow as much as I love John Bradley in real life. Kit looks like a scared mouse in his first interviews, but John is a fascinating guy in any circumstance. I hope we shall see this guy doing great stuff because these are the kind of people that are the real deal on and out of cameras.

samuel tarly's actor is brilliant. its worth listening
I think they're all cool, but I think John Bradley is the one most passionate about Game of Thrones as work. His insights seem to be the product of pondering out of boredom in his free time and comparing life to game of thrones. He seems like he invests some of his time outside work on his work, and that could be because he isn't in a position to gain privilege from the show to use in daily life, or that he was initially passionate about it, or both and one is the product of the other. I really admire him.
"Game of Thrones is the most pirated show at the moment, how does that make you feel?"
"WINNING."
the cast is literally perfect, these two producers are genius
1:13:29 It was Ian McElhinney who played Ser Barristan ☹️.. scumbags!!
The guy that plays Sam is actually truely funny
Totally agree with David about the rape scene. Jaime is not a golden boy as much as some were trying to stereotype him as becoming some romantic redemptive 'good man' in the making before this. His passion for Cersei in that scene and that situation completely resonated as being true to those characters for me and how they react towards adversity and their love. Admittedly I've only seen these episodes through once about a year ago but I always remembered that scene in the book as completely and perfectly right. When I say right here I don't mean morally but it's 100% believable.
EDIT: Ah ok, Ive just rewatched some Jaime/Cersei scenes in the show again and the relationship dynamic as they played it out on screen is different to how it was described in the books where the disgust and bigger resentment on Cersei's part happens after this scene. I kind of get why some are riled about it now. The scenario is still believable though.
I think David nailed it when he said that even though Jamie has done some good things that doesn't make him a good person or some redemptive hero
Jaime may have done a few good things but by the end of the day he is still the same guy who pushed a little boy out of the window and tried to kill him
I enjoyed his answer on the Jaime question; that he still has to be a grey character and the redemption can't be absolute.
But... it just made me disappointed as well, that the writers regard that as an important thing, and yet continue to whitewash Tyrion.
DispleasedEskimo I'm not sure Tyrion was whitewashed. He killed Shae without even giving her a chance to explain why she betrayed him. Granted, she did go for the knife first, but I think he could have avoided killing her. And who knows what he'll do now that he basically has nothing left to lose. We may see him go into a downward spiral.
DispleasedEskimo tbh, the books pretty much do that too, he's a pretty decent guy (besides the whoring, which he quits, in a way) right till trial charade and Jaime's revelation. They don't really show him as an alcoholic, but that's about it, everything else is pretty similar, and now that's he's hit rock bottom he will become much greyer.
Martina Martin I can understand their reasoning, however raping someone goes completely against Jaime's character. He saves Brienne from being raped, he was disgusted by the mad king for raping his sister.
The same thing goes for Jaime killing his cousin in season 2. He would never harm his own family. He fights Ned Stark to get Tyrion back. He betrays his father to save his brother's life. He kills the mad king as soon as he orders him to kill his father.
John is so funny! I loved his answers, they were very clever.
I love Dan's answer, it perfectly illustrates the difference between Game of Thrones and most if the other shows on television.
When I watch, "24," I am never wondering whether or not Jack Bauer is going to die.
It's the one, major advantage that Game of Thrones has over 99% of the rest of television entertainment.
When I watch, "Lord Of The Rings," I never ONCE felt any concern for any of the main character's lives.
It's just become such a regular trope, in movies and TV shows, that the protagonist, main character, or, "good guy," will eventually prevail, and ultimately survive until the credits.
But with Game of Thrones, anyone can die literally at ANY moment.
The stakes are real.
And that fact adds a certain, "weight."
And it's what sets it apart from everything else.
That guy who got Kit to hug his friend. I NEED THAT FRIEND.
There guys are brilliant and wise, and masked in casual friendly interview, they are actually delivering a great amount of invaluable life wisdom, gems of morality, honesty, dedication, courage.
An amazing interview, I loved watching it. I could see myself hanging out with these 4 gentlemen one evening (longer with Kit 😍), having drinks and listening to them for hours. Game of Thrones is the BEST television series EVER. #WinterIsComing
"Which charaster in GoT would you choose to be if you had to?"...the look is like: 'Trying to remember which one suffered the least' :-DDD
Listen to what John Bradley says at 55:10. Beautifully said Sir
This was a great interview, really loved John and I like how they all opened up. Seemed more Human and less scripted, a really good watch. Great people. :)
I would like to say Kudos to the crowd for staying silent and respectful through the panel. :)) This was very cool to listen and watch.
Oxford Union - grateful to you for this session with the GOT team. John Bradley is quite a sorted person in mind.... would love to hear more from him......
42:14 Kit: I’ll probably avoid anything too fantasy orientated, or swords…
Proceeds to play a character in Eternals whose main weapon is a sword 💀
John Bradley is just hilarious seems like a really fun and intelligent dude.
I thought the Redhead was going to go "you know nothing Jon Snow"
haha same
Y’gritte
36:51 (in reference to knowing who's Jon's mother is) "and Sam wouldn't know" and ironically he's the first person Bran tells lol
Kit's microexpressions during the entire final question are priceless. He toasts the death of Jon Snow at the end, if you watch closely. And, I think it's now a lock that Melisandre revives him, and/or the Azor Ahai bit. He and D&D wouldn't spoil like that. Unless, they just did. lol.
I think the success made Benioff and Weiss big headed. You can see the differences when you watch interviews from 2010 or 2011 as compared to 2015 or 2016. They are now much more dismissive of George and the source material than they were then. A point George himself confirmed when he mentioned how he is no longer consulted on major plots, only sees basic outlines of the episodes and finds out casting decisions with the rest of us. Also a point even Benioff and Weiss have confirmed. In season 1 and 2 interviews they mentioned how they'd have 3 or 4 page emails back and forth with George. At the season 5 premiere last year they were asked if they are in communication with him and Weiss answered "yeah we'll drop a line or two every couple of months to check in".
It is what it is.
+tinote That's because they have literally discussed everything that they can. They have known the future arcs for every character for nearly 4 years now. There isn't much to discuss anymore. Well there is no more source material so they cannot be dismissive of it and AFFC and ADWD while great books would make for poor television and would be impossible to adapt 100%. Besides GRRM is too busy writing TWOW to be involved with the show and has admitted as much since he has refused to write a script for seasons 5 and 6. I really don't know where this big headed thing comes from, they were very complimentary of the actors and GRRM consistently throughout the interview. If anything the fans have become big headed since they believe they know the characters and story lines better than the writers do.
According to the DVD commentary, this isn't true at all. They're basically in constant communication with George.
I find it really sad that GRRM barely isn't a part of it anymore, it's like they had a huge fight or something because he doesn't turn up to GoT events, he doesn't write any episodes and he doesn't hang out on set anymore. Just feels like he's almost regretting that he gave them the rights to do the show.
+Fooking Confirmed he's busy writing his book
+LegendaryTerrorist32 + 1for your response, it takes someone with some sense, and not someone who looks fault with people they dont know ,(like the OP, pretended not to do , but tried to chalk it up to "it is what it is")
Title should read "Kit Harrington Blushing for 1 Hour Straight"
John Bradley has the best answers. Very articulate.
LOL such a great hilarious talk. They're all so awesome, Kit Harrington is so cute and the whole cast is so funny here. Love it.
Kit Harington fine af! 😍😍👌🏼
Man, this sort of interview is much better than those comic con panels. Wish they could do more like these with more of the cast.
That face Kit makes when he hears Emilia Clarke's name @30:18

They totally smashed.
