If Im understanding this correctly. Science in story telling is defining exactly how an event or thing occurred to the point that the suspension of disbelief of the event/thing is upheld by the explanation. Ex; Spiderman gained his super powers through a radioactive spider bite from an experimental arachnid in a lab. Fiction/fantasy meanwhile is where strange and abnormal events are simply left as being strange and barely explained, this way, the suspension of disbelief is upheld not by knowledge, but by the lack of it Ex; Snow White fell into a near unending slumber from an a poisoned apple prepared by a witch. In both cases, suspension of disbelief is still help up, but through two different ways.
