"i guess sort of, how?" is a way i regularly ask questions about much bigger things and sometimes i forget it came from such an (INITIALLY) silly scene
For being billed as "the horror season" this was one of the funniest seasons yet, everyone was on another level bringing the Starstruck energy back to the dome
This video excludes my favorite moment from ep 18 when Murph rolled for the group and it was so bad that half the table stood up and Lou when on a spiel saying "Murph, that's not okay! Murph, straight-up, that's not okay! Real talk, we need to have a discussion about boundaries right now, that is not okay! I need a ride home!" and it was absolutely incredible
I remember this bit specifically because of Murph saying he's only allowed to do that "every two years" and I think Neverafter was filmed in 2022. What I'm saying is that we should be afraid for the next Intrepid Heroes season (which will come out next year, 2025, but have been filmed this year, 2024).
Murph's rolls are truly feast or famine. Flubbing the Call the Cops roll in PromPocalypse, flubbing the lair action rolls when escaping hell on the Goldenrod
Moms are moms. They've got pasts, they've got presents, they've got futures. ...Your mom *ate* two people. (This exchange is burned into my brain lmao.)
I love how absolutely hysterical the funniest of this season is when it really was truly terrifying, I have never been more scared of a d20 character than the Baba Yaga despite how much of a clown she acts like. She's so funny, but legitimately so chilling and terrifying. A great way to describe the entire season.
@@Shiraiame that scene with the step mother where brennan was like "do you turn to look at her?" was the most terrifying scene in any of their campaigns ever.
Zac: *sigh* "Let's go to work." It's so much funnier when you remember he is playing Puss In Boots. I love that everyone inherently did a unique depiction of characters that have had MANY adaptations.
Previews "Get ready for absolute horror every episode will need a disclaimer this is going to be horrifying and scary" Campaign - Hysterical laughter from start to finish don't think I have ever laughed so much at a dnd campaign.
1:52 no one talks about how siobahn always picked the perfect time to toss to lou to make a jester stand up comedy joke lol her comedic timing was perfect
I mean... I laughed the entire time but I was definitely horrified by all the implications. Things can be both. Hats off to brennan for being genuinely hilarious _while_ making my heartrate pick up out of anxiety
Minerva and her daughters still gives me a little chill since the orange hat delirium has subsided. Edit: 8:28 Don’t you love Lou and Zac desperately trying not to bully Murph’s sword forms?
Brennans "I guess, sort of, *how*?" has the same energy as "Describe to me, Emily Axford, a sexy rat?" Her ability to just fucking befuddle Brennan is unreal.
The idea of Gerard talking to other frogs like they are his friends even after years of knowing they can’t understand him is tragic and hilarious

well you know what they say, the only difference between Horror and Comedy is the punchline
I've watch a bunch of d20 season and neverafter is still up top the funniest one. So many great bits

"I cast Banishment on the actual man Murph."

I love how sincerely upset Emily is at Murph's dice rolling bad. That "That's so unfair" came from her heart and it cracks me up so bad
[cast screaming at murph]
Emily: *no I love him😭*
Murph's rolls are truly feast or famine. Flubbing the Call the Cops roll in PromPocalypse, flubbing the lair action rolls when escaping hell on the Goldenrod
That's love. I think they're sweet
Murph's "first of all, rude." Always kills me
There’s so much in neverafter that kills me, but the “pays good weekends? Pays good, weekends? Pays, good weekends?” Bit breaks me every time.
, pays good weekends?
“You know, I’ve always said I don’t like pickles, but I really like pickles” even being out of context within the span of the episode itself
I hate when my grandma's teeth are honkin big 😔
Headcanon that Ylfa describing Grandma's features as "honkin big" is what caused the Woodsman to not show up
Moms are moms. They've got pasts, they've got presents, they've got futures.
...Your mom *ate* two people.
(This exchange is burned into my brain lmao.)
"so many thoughts" "so many prayers" is an INSANE ending
17:52 just to hear it again.
as someone who runs a horror campaign, I can assure you my players get funnier the more terrified they get 😅 The fear unleashes the best bits
YES! Because the tension gets so unbearable they *have* to release it!
We laugh so we dont cry 😂😂
Today I needed to hear "I didn't make it today but goddamn I'll be there tomorrow" and I didn't know it
_”SHE SAID HONKINGGghh”_ is my favorite murph noise
The fact Beardsley was the voice of reason might have to rewatch this season.
Fr truly the darkest timeline 😭
"We have left where my horse brain can go" entered my lexicon immediately😂
"oh wow beats to study to" is so funny my god
being able to make Brennan go “No. Stop. In reference to what?” is INSANELY hilarious and completely expected to be a reaction to Ally Beardsley 6:15
For the horror season that was genuinely pretty scary, it was contrasted very well by being(arguably) the funniest season yet
Ok. But Zac critting when he said he was and the crit at the end too?? Holy hell!!

We have all of this funny stuff, and then the stepmother, who is probably the most frightening villain in a D20 campaign.
EVERYBODY HERE GONNA DIE BUT ME!
That’s my secret, Pinocchio. I am always pissing
That’s why I’m convinced Brennan tapped into something and actually channeled the Baba Yaga

"Just crit man." "I crit."
Perfection.

A reminder for everyone that this is the horror season. And it somehow brought out the most chaotic side of Emily we’ve ever seen
Welcome to Ylfa's Bottleneck!
Emily is pure chaos no matter what the genre *lol*
11:45
Siobhan: trying to have a serious and probably stressful conversation with a possible bad guy
Beardsley quietly in the backround: o7
i was taking a sip of monster when i saw siobhan just go oof with the most serious face and i choked and almost died
I have never seen a video so succesfully live up to the title of no context
gerard going back to the swamp is such a good scene
No stop in reference to what 😂
alright, that settles it... time to rewatch the entire season
I’ve never seen an Out Of Context compilation, where one of the clips IS the context for another one.
I love how much Emily commits to an accent each season and rarely strays from it, even when not on character
I‘ve been looking for „Mama why you gotta break-a my nose off“ for WEEKS
subtitles are exremely well done!!!! SO appreciated!
obsessed with the cut from brennan’s “you have got to be f-“ to “find the christian bible” LMAO. enjoyed this thoroughly
1:52 no one talks about how siobahn always picked the perfect time to toss to lou to make a jester stand up comedy joke lol her comedic timing was perfect
like "oof... jester?" is so good
_DON'T DRINK WATER_
lou and his Pinocchio voice make me lose it till this day
Pinocchio’s jokes might’ve been my favorite part of this season
This is meant to be the horror season and it happens to be on the best comedies of all time- 😤❤️❤️
The line between comedy and horror is absurdity
Dude this is the most extensive collection of never after bits I've seen and it is masterfully crafted ✨👌
I love how this season went so off the rails after episode 2. From the horror season to the second most unhinged season.
omg how did I only now notice the hiccup-voice
TWO OF THEM. IVE WATCHED D20 FOR YEARS NOW
Why does Pinocchio talking to the mayor to convince him it was an adult sleepover kinda sound like Bernie sanders lmao
"The king disappeared due to the Magic of parenthood?" Fucking GOT ME
It’s so bizarre that I laughed the hardest at this season, when it’s all about horror. I do seriously think that this is the funniest season.
pls this video has turned into a comfort video for me bro... your editing (the captions) is MUAH CHEFS KISS
I cried with laughter through this whole thing, thanks for an amazing edit!!
PLATONIC ADULT SLEEPOVER
Candlewick is one of the most upsetting characters in the horror season.
Yes!!! The amount of people that found him more comedic baffle me. Like that is so scary 😭
The Brennan faces were a big part of it. The Live Slug Reaction and getting electrocuted faces are my favorite.@@Lucifersfursona
I mean... I laughed the entire time but I was definitely horrified by all the implications. Things can be both.
Hats off to brennan for being genuinely hilarious _while_ making my heartrate pick up out of anxiety
13:26 oh my god im convinced. Gonna watch this all tomorrow 😂
Minerva and her daughters still gives me a little chill since the orange hat delirium has subsided.
Edit:
8:28 Don’t you love Lou and Zac desperately trying not to bully Murph’s sword forms?
I haven't seen any Neverafter before and this had me laughing SO HARD. I'm gunna have to seek it out, now
Be warned, it doesn't start off this chaotic, the horror stuff is real, and it gets _heavy._
god i love this season
Thank you so much for including captions in this.
Brennans "I guess, sort of, *how*?" has the same energy as "Describe to me, Emily Axford, a sexy rat?"
Her ability to just fucking befuddle Brennan is unreal.
That's my mayor!
with or without context these are great.
Ally's laugh gives me life
truly thank you for these captions!! so expressive!!
this is just reminding me how crazy i am about brennan's scottish accent oh my god dude
5:54 is gold
Freakin love this series !!!
murph.
It's crazy how off the shits this season was compared to even the light hearted campaigns. Even down to the Adventuring Parties, goddamn
Great stuff
You spelled Arthurs wrong
Can they please do a show where they go to Vegas? I need that now.
Starstruck Odyssey quote: There's no law about Dogs in Mas Vegas.
Pays good? Weekends?
The ARTHURS
So sad i cant watch this one because i cant do body horror and stuff
