Today's video is a bit different than the ones I usually share on my channel! As you know, I love myself a good DIY project and find most of them going to a friends home or repurposed in another project down the line. Today we are thrifting some pieces that we can DIY in attempts to resell on facebook marketplace for a profit!

Thanks so much for watching and I hope you enjoyed. Leave any future video ideas you would like to see in the comments below and don't forget to subscribe!
I know that I’m just an old bag , but I have said it before that this young man should be on HGTV !!! He is fresh so personable . His tips are easy and his sense of humor is on topic . Someone out there with connections please help him gain the status he deserves ! I can clearly see he checks all the boxes for a half hour show with his GQ looks and quick brain . Come on people , do the right thing !
I think that he's got more freedom doing his own channel.
I know some one who ditched doing an architectural salvage show for HGTV over ten years ago after doing it for two or three years because it didn't pay for him to take time away from his business to deal with the TV aspect of everything. Drew has built his own brand on his own and has control of his own destiny. It doesn't get any better than that and It looks like his plate is full!
Totally agree. He’s so much better than what HGTV produces!
Yes!
Amen and amen!!!! I can not love Drew more!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
The $5 trunk: WHAT A FIND!!!!!
I’d keep it!
Exactly what I said, the store kikd of ripped themselves off and I feel bad for them 😅. Like...geez, it just needed some light TLC.
This is the best video you have done in ages. Your hacks for things like IKEA pieces are always great, but this was so much more interesting and really showed off your creative flair for things that most people would not see possibilities in. It was just so inspiring. PLEASE DO MORE OF THESE!!!!!
Yeah, more please! 💫
i 100% agree with u! These are better than his ikea flips
Yep!!!! I agree with everyone that said how much they enjoyed this video!!! So fun! And it shows off how wonderful your creativity works❤
DREW!!! ARE YOU FRICKEN KIDDING ME WITH THIS WHOLE VIDEO!!!! SOOOOOOOO GOOD OMG!!!👍🏻👍🏻
Ahhh I’m so happy you liked it!!
I adore you! Watching the renovation of your home is so interesting. I love every video and I find myself dreading its completion. This video was just as interesting. I loved it! Please keep your content coming. ❤
@@kellynewton5948I feel the same way about its completion someday.
Thank trunk for $5 is insane!!!!
I LOVE THIS VIDEO!! Please do more of these. Much better than what the typical furniture flippers do. Truly creative solutions to "marrying" pieces.
You can just see the creative juices flowing while Drew is going through these stores. Ideas left and right. This is so much fun to watch !!!!
Drew not only knows how to DIY, he knows how to sell.
And he knows how to shop. I wouldn't have looked twice at that table but he has a vision for things. So jealous!
St. Vinnie’s is the perfect place not only to shop but to donate to. The work they do building low income housing is fantastic. A great charity.
Just out of interest, are you perhaps Australian? Here in 🇦🇺 we shorten it to just Vinnies. Even their official website address is Vinnies
@@thelibraryismyhappyplace1618 From Oregon (and a library is my happy place, too). In Oregon we call it St. Vinnie’s. Must be a regional thing.
@@ellenmadsen7308 thanks for replying 🤗
MORE flipping videos, please. they are addicting
It's not so much what you pick out, it's what you do with it. You are enormously talented.
Creating a small sized kitchen Island was a brilliant idea. I don’t think you could possible buy such a thing. It pretty much has to be handmade. It’s something that doesn’t exist that many with a small kitchen…with room for one…would want.❤ I also love the lamps.
You should purchase more items to DIY and resell with your profits. You have a great market area and so many options for finding great flip candidates. Doing something you enjoy and making a little profit to fund your purchases is a great hobby!
I'll be 60 in 8 days, and i absolutely love Drew. HGTV could never. Stay in your lane, Drew. We love you here
Like this episode and please do more of those DIY & Sell, it gives a lot of inspiration and it is also very exiting to see how they turn out and what the Profit will be ! Love your Channel so much and see you on the next one !
Such a great idea!! Your vision of how to repurpose items in the least amount of time & money & how to post them was so educational! Definitely worth the time & effort. You basically spent $340 for the pieces & supplies & sold for $840 with a clear profit of $500. Great for a few days of shopping, cleaning & repair to posting & selling. What a great way to make extra money in a week's time span!!
The trunk is a coffee table. I have had two like it. The way it opens you can eat off the raised lid in front of the tv. It turned out great!
Drew: being a business woman, I really enjoy your enthusiasm and your talent. And I understand this is a “labor of love”, however, you need to consider your time that is involved to repurpose these wonderful upcycle pieces. Just a thought. If this is not important to you, you should title these special videos, “ bargains
designed by Drew.” Because each and everyone was! Carol from California
The way I think of it is that -you are paying your time with your profit. SO, Drew would have to take his profit and divide it by his time spent and that is the amount he gets paid for his time: fluid income. (Lucky he's in LA, great buyer base and no shipping costs!)
The kitchen island is one beatiful piece! Very creative transformation and it could go in so many different decors. I love it.
I am so glad you are bringing these DIY’s back! You’re so talented and clever and give us so many great ideas to try in our own homes…..more cost effective too!
LOVE!! You make everything look so effortless and beautiful ❤.
Those tileson the piece that was made into a towel bar are absolutely gorgeous and very valuable. I would have a hard time parting with that piece if I was you!
Drew, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea !! I HOPE you will continue this segment in the future. You are teaching us how to be Creative to Re-purpose our Finds to Sell and the Ideas can be Endless. Thank You !
More of that Drew please💘
Is it possible to get such a series? I really liked seeing the process from the search in second-hand stores, to the sale!
Amazing!
Really loved the flips, more please.
Please YES! MORE thrifting videos!! Take us along and show us what you can do with the goodies you find. You are very good seeing potential in different things & making new useage of them. Love watching you & Justin going to vintage, antique & thrift stores! Take us along with you again soon.
Loved this episode!! Please take the profit and use it for more of these flips. So inspiring!! Loved each and every flip!!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for not painting the wood on these flips. Soooo many flippers just paint over the wood on flipped pieces and it was so refreshing to see the natural wood get a new life!❤
That antique kitchen island is chef's kiss.
Please, please, please do more of this type of video!! These were wonderful, quality flips - you absolutely didn’t cut any corners!
This was fun - I really enjoyed seeing the whole process from shopping to DIY to selling (budgeting).
It would be amazing to see you thrift in the UK or Europe, and then bring your treasures home to restore, present in your own space, and/or sell.
This was an amazing video !
The finds were super !
The flips were spectacular !
The profits were superb !
🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Drew, think about getting a perm so you're not having to worry about your hair, makes life so much easier. Love you Drew 🌸
A day with a Lone Fox video is always a good day!! Those were great flips!
LOVE!! You make everything look so effortless and beautiful ❤
THIS is the video I have been waiting for; how to optimize FB Marketplace. Lots of helpful tips here and the flipped pieces turned out so great!❤❤❤
Drew, for those of us who do thrifting & flipping for extra money, we have to add our labor hours to the cost of the pieces we sell. The time you took to go shopping for the pieces is part of a labor cost. The time you took bleaching the coffee table is labor hours. Shopping for the tile for the kitchen island and then putting it all together is a labor cost. Most of us flippers add $20 to $40 per hour for labor costs and we also add up our mileage for driving around shopping for the pieces and supplies. So your “profit” of over $400 would only be for me a profit of $200
I'm so obsessed with the island AND the tile shelf! SUCH a beautiful transformation!
You are still my all time favorite designer, and the only DIY pieces that are displayed in my home were your project!! You have given me more ideas today, so THANKS, Drew!!!
OMG this proyects blew my mind, I love every single one and its fantastic how all turned so cohesive, YOU´RE SOO CREATIVE!!!!!
That’s awesome and totally yes in LA you can sell for way more than you can in my town; Yuma AZ.
Drew do more of those videos it was awesome to see your creativity!!!!
❤❤❤
Drew, my favourite video of yours!!! So relateable, and easy to take inspiration from, whether someone wants to flip for profit or flip on a budget to decorate their own place. THANK YOU! You always have such a good eye, style your items beautifully and always put your own stamp on things.
Those lamps were a great find and the fact that you found a pair, is amazing.
Your vision and talent knows no bounds ❤❤. The pieces all turned out so beautifully ! And the profit margins were great too 👍
Ok, all these items are beautiful but OMG the dry sink/ kitchen island is BEAUTIFUL!!! 😍😍😍
❤ great profit ... my favorite was the pot shelf kitchen tile rack 🎉from Andrea 😊
You are so talented! As a fellow DIY-er, I love seeing how others give old pieces a second life. Nice work!!
You’ve just sent a horde of people out to scour the thrift shops for their decor and to make $$. Of course they’re not going to have your experience and artistic ability but heck, recycle/reuse is such a good thing. I’d love to see more of this kind of thing!! And I totally agree with the woman who said you should have a TV show. You rock this !
Please do more of these videos! And I thought everything was amazing but the small kitchen island was BRILLIANT! Now I have to find something to reproduce this.
I LOVE this video! I used to have a furniture flipping business but now I have disabilities that make it impossible to do all that heavy lifting, sanding, painting, etc. Flipping pairs of lamps is such a great idea! You are right, it’s so rare to find pairs of lamps at thrift stores or marketplace. I’m totally going to be on the lookout for lamps now. Very good insight on the demand for lamp pairings. Thanks!
Wonderful work on all Drew, I Loved the washtable/kitchen island flip!🤩
Loved everything! It all is high end and quality. Nice flips!
These are such wonderful and inspiring projects! I LOVE that you keep the pieces in their natural wood and wicker states. Well done!!!
Loving how Drew and Co. are saving the Victorian antiques.
All the flips were great ideas and came out nice. Well done!
THIS is the type of video that I WANT and NEED to see from you!!! I love you so much and miss your weekly DIY videos. Either you aren't doing as many or RUclips unsubscribed me like it has been doing to other creators... Love your creativity and imagination ❤❤❤ you did a fantastic job and I especially was drooling over the trunk and the island!
I did not think I would like this video. I loved it. You are truly talented. The shelf and the table were awesome. You are blessed with a natural talent. I look forward to your weekly shows.
I enjoyed the heck out of this! Please please please make this a series! :)
Love this especially the island. Please make this a regular series. 🙏😍
I don’t want to live in LA (like ever), but dang I wish I lived close enough to have bought a couple of the items you flipped! Way cute, nothing cheap and well worth the prices your listed. 🥰
I loved this. What a great idea! I would love it if you did more of these videos. You are SO creative and talented!!!!!
Great video, Drew! Such a talent you are. Please do more of these in the future. It was fun to see how you turned the items into sellable treasures.
ahh man..I have a ton of old stuff in my own basement that I can do these same things with. The hardest part is knowing what products work and how to use them. Well, now I know. Thanks Drew.
That coffee table was my favorite of your projects. I'm surprised you didn't keep it. You refinished it beautifully and if it didn't have the lifting mechanism, I would think it was a bonafide antique. Flipping furniture finds ---I think this may be a new calling.
I love the table/island!!! The casters make it so versatile.
OMGosh!!!!!! Yes, do more of these. Not just for the creativity you show and the fun but for your profit margins!! Crazy good. The "trunk" is actually a combo storage chest and dining or work table. They were created for motorhomes to save space. I was trying to pick a favorite but they are all my favorite! You rock!
Especially loved this video! Everything about it, the thrifting, flipping, and selling was so fun to watch. You are such a talented guy!
My pricing was almost spot-on with Drew’s! As you presented the items, I priced them as I thought I would pay. The lamps were my only slip-up, which I priced too low. I completely forgot the original purchase price😢😂❤. Great job, kiddo!
loved the video, so creative. With the coffee table the lift up mechanism can then be used as a table. Sitting on the sofa and eating dinner. Or working from home. we had one years ago and had dinner on it almost every night. Such a space saver.
The projects were such fun to watch in progress, and your pacing was perfect! Not to much time on any aspect, yet enough time to appreciate the work. 😊
What I really like about this also is that it shows what goes into doing good flips. Sometimes I feel like -- no, I don't want to pay extra so a flipper can make a profit. And for something like the lamps, I would have just bought them at the thrift store and done it myself. But other things, like the kitchen island? That took real work and expertise and is absolutely worth paying someone who knows what they're doing to sell you a finished product unless you're already really good at transforming old furniture.
Lots of fun to see items transition to something new and wonderful!
Very inspiring video….❤
Thanks, Drew!!!
I love when you do these kind of projects, make more, lol....they were all so beautiful....Take care...cheers !!! 🍁 🍁
Not me smiling the whole time like I was purchasing one of ur flips Lol.😂 Please do more videos like theses. Love this!💙
Drew! Love the flips! My go to place for lamps shade is the At Home store. I know there is one in Long Beach and Pasadena. If you have not been there you need to go!
Drew with the hair spray LOL your so funny. Love your pot rack, no I did not know that about the calk gun, AWESOME to know. Your so creative and good making stuff.
Absolutely loved this one and would love to see more like this ! Would also like to see you revamp a room for someone repurposing what they already have with like a limit of purchasing three new items. 😊
This was absolutely wonderful and creative and just made my day watching it. Thank you.
OMG I could never have sold that kitchen island. It could’ve also been used as a beautiful bar cart. I love it! Love everything you flipped! 😍
I loved all of these Drew. Such clever remakes, thumbs up all. 😊👍👍👍👍
Beautiful creations. Please do more of these DIY flips. !!! You're so talented. Love it.
WoW! Fabulous flips! You’re a genius, Drew! Love them all…my favorite is the kitchen island ! ❣️
I think the kitchen island was SUPERB!

Wow! There's that project development degree paying you back. Great work!
The kitchen island is my favorite, gorgeous!
You are so talented, Drew.. I agree that HGTV should come knocking at your door and offer you a show! Your ideas are limitless!!
Drew are you kidding??? Stunning!! Please do more :)
Those tiles! I'm so glad you bought that piece and I i love the shelf you added.
Love your thrift/flip videos, Drew!!! 💙
That $5 coffee table was an absolute steal
Omg love, love, love, all the projects!!! Drew everything you touch turns to gold!!! ✌️&❤
I love this segment! I hope you do more. I love the kitchen island and the wall shelf. Thanks for the inspiration.
Drew, I love all your content but I really enjoyed this style of video! Please do some more of these thrift flips in the future 🙏
I found a similar pine chest at an estate sale and refinished it. I use it as a photo table in my foyer and store gift wrap and wrapping supplies in it. Love it!
That Kitchen Island!!!! LOVE!!!!
Loved this!!! The kitchen island was my favorite, but the shelf was so clever and loved the wicker table lamp bases.
You did a fantastic job on all the pieces Drew!! I loved this kind of video…I hope you do more like this!!🥰
Drew! Everything turned out great! I love it all, I don't even think I have a favorite. Get's me "inspired" to go thrifting more, but I'll say it again, "You guys have the best stuff out there, and cheap"! Great job, thanks for sharing!❤❤
