Hey Andrew been following a long time now. Have suggested Genesis In the Cage, and a converstion with two stools. Phil Collins and Chester Thomson on drums. You probably know that when they played live. It was two sets of Drums on alot of songs. Phil went from lead vocals and would ru up to his drums. Then it was both of them. Thought you would get a kick lololol out of it cheers
Hey Andrew...This was a complete surprise bro...I was so into this band when they came out but they fell off my radar at one point..I don't know if they're even still together..They always reminded me of a cross of T-Rex Deep Purple a modern version of Zeppelin..This drummer is similar in his playing to Sean Kinney with that bounce and swing and those off time hits are so tasty...Thx for a blast from the past..✌️🤘
Nice surprise Andrew. Wolfmother is a good solid band, but if you want to challenge yourself try some High on Fire songs. Super rolls from Dez! Good job. I wonder if the drummer from Wolfmother can read sheet music? Lol🥁🔊👏
Have you ever heard of the Aussie band “12 Foot Ninja” ? (I think one member is NZ) They are hilarious guys. But their music is incredible. And their drummer and bassist lay down a great rhythm section. It’s like Nu Metal/world music something core. I can’t explain it ha But look up the video for “One Hand Killing” by 12 foot Ninja. The first couple minutes are a funny little skit that leads into the video They are fuckin great tho ! And I know austailia and NZ was where they spent their formative years. Kinda like Parkway Drive.
Hi. Nice drumming🤩 I would like to learn to play that song too, but I can`t find the drum notes for this song anywhere. Could you tell me where you got yours?
Love love this band, the first album is leagues above the others though. I think the drummer bassist left after the first album and are in a different though. Let's go Australian music though!
@@AndrewRooneyDrums hahahah - that was the most polite “eff off” ever Andrew. Here’s the thing- you’re a pro - you know exactly what I mean, BUT I would like to see you play rock more like Dave Grohl. I think you’re relaxed and wristy even for a jazz drummer - even my favourite jazz drummers hit with more intent - Elvin Jones, Art Blakey, Jack deJohnette etc Sweat Andrew, sweat!
@@gabebabe1 HAHA That's great for live. Can't play like that with offices directly above me. Also remember I'm only recording on 4 mics :) Smashing... it'll be a cymbal-athon. No spot mics on toms for example...
To be fair, Andrew is using proper dynamics for the audience here... Ie, that room, those mics, and an even sound to show the transcription. The transcription is about correctness, not emotion. If he let himself go, he'd be on take 30, which isn't the goal.
Good to see you behind the kit. It has to be more fun than listening to and commenting on music that sometimes you may not enjoy!
Hope you enjoy all the covers on my channel Linda!
I’m working on it. Been fun so far! Say, you ain’t bad either Rooney! 🤘😙👌
THE FINAL AIM and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul. -Johann Sebastian Bach
Nice work mate, got flashbacks of seeing them live in a local pub and of course the Hangover haha
HAHAHA
Nice job. Yourself, samus and the Spanish wizard are my favourite drum content creators. That was solid
Thanks Johnny!
I put on my 90's playlist today and came across 'Two Princes' by the Spin Doctors. Seems like a song you'd have fun with.
Yup! I played that on my 'best ever drum intros' vid!
I throughly enjoyed that great job and song I have not thought of in a while........
Thanks Lois!

Another band that cam out around the same time was Voodoo Six. Bluesy jazzy stadium rock revival 😊
Glad you dug it Brian!
Yes! Such a good song!
Yeah man!
Great performance! I really like your approache. No this isn’t jazz - It’s controlled, relaxed and dynamic playing. Good stuff! 🥁🤟🏻

Yeah bit of a random one for me.
Have a few students learning it :)
Love this song! Great cover AR!
Thanks Steven!
Andrew, on bar 110 for example... is that a poly rhythm between the hands and the foot? Like a 6 over 4?
Awesome buddy 🤘🥁😎
Hello, my friend. 😍💕 Thanks for sharing. 👍 Have a nice day.🤗✨
Nice work 😮
Good shit again! You should do a “Fool in the rain” cover by Led Zepplin those are some of my personal favorite drums of all time.
You ROCK!🤘🏼
Good call Nick!

And reading your fan comments except for myself and Gabebabe ,I don't get it!?
I just read this comment.
What’s the question/comment?
You need to hit harder - this isn’t jazz
Thanks for the tips man! 👌

@@AndrewRooneyDrums hadn’t thought about that - that’s fair enough. Maybe crowdfund a good electronic kit?
