And I’m not saying you fake all of your vehicles this one just not sitting right with me but I still like your videos
Body shop dust is really dry and doesn’t stick to paint. Likely was pulled in after it was washed and waxed and just sat there inside unexposed to rain or water in any way
@@ivandimov6900 Exactly what I was gonna say. I've worked in bodyshops and from the amount of sanding that goes on everyday it really doesn't take long at all until a car is covered in dust.
What came first the detailing or the “dust”? During the first rinse the water was beading pretty good off the paint for a car not washed for 2.5 years. I don’t doubt your a good detailer but honestly that dust coating looked staged. And to drive it back to the shop without at least cleaning the windshield was really clickbait theatrics.
Lmao really? Dust protects paint over the long term, so if a car has protection on it already, the dust “preserves” the paint and the product on it in a sense because it’s no longer exposed directly. This is probably the best thing that happened to the car tbh, and yea that looks like panel dust from all the grinding in a sizeable body shop
I work construction and I guarantee that this car was wet down, and then had a very fine layer of dust thrown all over it. It looked like masonry grout, or concrete dust.

Great job on the 2001 Miata Special Edition. Don't know if anyone mentioned it to you or not, but someone stole the chrome-plated door sills and swapped them with the original plastic ones. Shame, as the plated ones also had MIATA inscribed into them. . Also someone replaced the motorized antenna mast with the stubby antenna. Again, beautiful job. Back in 2001 I went into my local Mazda dealership and there were two on the showroom floor. A red with tan leather and the BRG Special Edition. They were mistakenly advertised in the local paper as being available at invoice. I should have bought them both, but RED is my favorite color, so I left with that one. Plus I only had a two-car garage with another car at home. I have taken good care of my 2001 and it still looks great and virtually looks new inside and out with about 110,000 miles on it. Take good care of your beauty!
Beautiful car. I thought she was a keeper. I can't drive. I have ADHD and no sense of spatial awareness (keep thinking I will hit/crash the vehicle near me and there is always plenty of pass room) and other drivers make me nervous. I also see too many squirrels 🤣. But if I had my dream car - an original VW Beetle - there is no way I would get rid of her. You did another fantastic job on bringing a car back to life. I bet she would hug you if she could.
newb question. I see rock chips in the hood. I am asking why he went to the paint correction prior to filling the rock chips? (i havn't finished the video at this stage) Why wouldn't you fill the chips, wet sand then polish? thanks.
It's crazy that it was sitting there for 2 years and only had dust. My car sits for 2 days and I come back to peeling paint, bird crap, cobwebs and new scratches... and that's without moving in my driveway!
Can you tell me the various dilution ratios for your APC? I see you using it for multiple applications. - wheels/tires - engine bay - exterior/paint - interior Thanks!
I actually own this same car. This is a rare Miata, only 3,000 of these were made. You can cross reference the VIN against a list you can find on the internet to tell what production number is was. It is missing the original antenna, the sill plates, and the shift knob, but they can be bought as OEM parts. Still beautiful.
