The craftsmanship of this tie is unheard of man. Thank you
Been tying for ten years. I just saw this video 02 19 21. I could lie, but, I learned a thing or two. Subscribed 👍
You are an excellent instructor. I really appreciate your tying videos. Thank you. Jim Seaman, Darby, Montana
That, sir, is a work of art! A tip of the ol' Filson to you....

Best golden stone ever!
I’m just loving all your back videos!
That is a hellova good looking stonefly pattern, Charlie. Thank you!
Thanks for the demo Charlie! I was hoping that you'd do this one!
Thanks for that great pattern. Great looking nymph. Deer Creek has a great UV resin that dries with no tack. Solarez is also great. I have it and use it as well. All the best, Sean
Beautifully done. You are truly talented
Gorgeous..
Amazing videos! Truly inspiring
Thanks Charlie!
Wonderful fly,. I'm going to tye this on a size 14. Mostly for panfish on ponds and creeks. I mite tye this a little bit darker than the Golden stone. The weight will be a 3-16th single bead. Thanks for your time and knowledge good job!!!
One of my favorite golden stone patterns , gets down fast and is very durable . Use it here on the Madison year round size 12 & 10 :-)
very nice!!!
3/32 beads are very small. what size hook is this? I realize you have TMC 5262 8-16 listed, but what size is the hook on this particular fly? Cheers.
Brooktrout Angler this is a size 12 Tiemco 5262.
Beautiful fly. Don't you worry the fish will spit the fly easy with all that weight?
Hi Charlie,
I'm a new subscriber because I am thrilled with your fly tying abilities. They are very impressive and an inspiration to a fly tying novice.
If I may be so bold as to make a suggestion, your introduction audio level is plenty loud enough but for an aging fly fisherman it's a little hard to hear when you're speaking. Could you please increase the audio level during the time when you're instructing us? Even with my volume up all the way it's sometimes difficult for me to hear you at those levels. TIA, Paul
Paul Valley , thanks for the input! I’m a pretty soft spoken guy so I’ll have to make a point of speaking a bit more loudly!

Hi Charlie,
I was in broadcast video and you can usually increase the volume in post-production or you might want to consider wearing a wireless lapel microphone. They have a crisp audio response and will easily increase your volume before post-production. Thanks for the fast reply too.

I forgot to ask does that clear coat work as quickly as shown in your video? It seem like you only had it on for three or four seconds before it was hard.
Paul
Paul Valley it cures pretty darn quick. The lamp is powerful and zaps it in a hurry.
As far as the curing goes it does harden very quick. I accidentally cured the top of my bottle shut from about 12 inches away. The lamp is alot stronger than you think!
which uv light do you prefer
Keith Kijowski I use the Resonator lamp from Solarez. I think the key is the rechargeable battery is always at full strength.
Great looking fly. Excellent tutorial. But, something looked different to me, are you a southpaw?
Karl Stewart I’m right handed but I tie left handed.
We're is your shop
100% Legit!
Yeah I’ll never be able to tie both tail biots at once and I’m ok with that
Epoxy is a resin
