    I know it is a variation on an old fly but the form of that pattern is just a smashing winner in spite of which materials are utilized. Great tie CC -- I like the hen CDL loop with the dubbing.

    New camera looks great great Charlie. That fly is a “kitchen sink” approach in having many fine materials that trigger wily trout.

    This is so f---ing crazy. I have watched you forever and consider you the best fly tier in this country. Buying a 4K or 6k camera would be certain death for your credibility. But damn this camera has just enhanced your work showing how great you are.
    I just started up tying again from 3 years ago. 70 years old and starting to shake and for sure having to use my old surgery mags to tie and just can’t get what I use todo let alone do this quality. Thank you for such perfect work.

    I watched this at some point and do not remember when. So I figured i'd drop a comment and it'll give me a reference haha. If you fish the Provo River in Utah this fly is on fire right now. Give it a Fl. Orange/Red collar or bead and you'll be dragging them in =)

    Great definition with the new camera l. 1080p, or is there better now?

  • @GeorgeSemel
    @GeorgeSemel Год назад +1

    Well, I like that hackle trick, now only if I can find some Hen CDL. Seems it like a lot of things like Federal 210 primes are in short supply. As for the camera, yeah it's a sharper video, but I watch for the technique to tie better flies. I am just not that picky. Creating content is time-consuming. As for the fly, well it's a hare's ear nymph with a few extras what is not to like? As for the Euro Nymphing business, I have not gone down that rabbit hole yet. It's warmed up, I think the Hendricksons will be showing up any day now.

  • @wyomingtrout5581

    Charlie, this fly needs a wire rib too to reinforce that tinsel. What say you. Maybe a turn of dubbing behind the tinsel too. I have had flies fail and the rib slides off the back of the hook if I don’t.
