    The Solitude Golden Stonefly Nymph is a beautiful pattern well matched to the natural Golden Stonefly nymphs you see here. It sinks fast, catches fish, and performs for our guide team and customers.

    I tie a pretty realistic golden stone nymph. But when I was on the yellowstone last week, I went for the local choice, a Pat's Rubberlegs tied with verigated chenille. It worked.

      @@redsflyshop the way you explain and show instructions on RUclips is top notch. Great communicator. Any browns/cutties in that river near your shop?

    When you indicator nymph fish with these weighted stonefly nymphs, do you add weight to the leader?

    • @redsflyshop
      @redsflyshop  3 года назад

      I typically don't Mike, some anglers will but my personal preference is to lighten up my tippet and strive for really good presentations that get the nymph down quickly. It's always an option though, but Tungsten is already quite heavy.

      @@redsflyshop hey thanks. I'll use a heavier golden stone w/o weight on the leader when I next fish the Deschutes!
