"tap in merchant" pisses me off. He's a "correctly using his body to get in the right position and when called upon can finish clinically" ... merchant.
The argument is so easily countered. Which strikes makes it harder for themselves to score at the cost of winning games? Nobody.. So why isn't every striker able to score even CLOSE to the same amount of goals as Haaland has on different teams if it's just about tap in the goals? Should be super easy. Or does he incidentally always having the best passers to ever exist on his various teams every single time? lol
If Haaland was playing in the 90s/00s, he would be viewed as one of the best of all time. It’s funny really, because you had all these pundits/commentators talking about how badly the game needs a proper “number 9” who can just score goals and that the game has been overflooded with false-9s who can’t put the ball in the net; then we have a player who is the perfect “number 9” and all these pundits/commentators don’t like him. Also, many of these pundits/commentators say that Foden playing poorly at the Euros was down to players like Kane interfering and dropping deep into Foden’s position which flooded the middle of the pitch. Yet they think that Kane playing for City and inevitably doing the same thing won’t hurt Foden’s play-style? So if anything, it’s good that Haaland doesn’t contribute much to the buildup and lets Foden, De Bruyne, etc perform that part of the game.
Are you crazy ?😂 90s with people like kaka, zidane, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho? Haaland wouldn't even start for top clubs his just a tapin merchant Edit: when I said 90s I meant around 1990s to 21st century
@@mikelbaningo6407 inzaghi, jardel, batistuta, falcao, elber and mario gomez Tap in merchants originated from somewhere and it didnt start with haaland
Football has been broken by CR7/Messi so much that you have pundits and commentators spoiled and make all sorts of dumb claims, predictions and opinions about the current best in the world players.
As if Ronaldo was that good. His capabilities were overblown by the press to create artificial competition between him and Messi, even though there was never any. He was nowhere near Messi's level. The Argentinian is an undisputed best player in history
@@abraz_ Dominating by playing with the best team in a league with the best players in league is expected from the team. Im not saying he isnt a good player, but not near Messi. Messi could dribble, create and score and that too without a physique of CR7. He is way better in buildup and link play than CR7.
@@mr_j9207 And yet another cringe debate started by a comment who praised CR7 and Messi at the same time. Also, Messi didn't have a good team at Barca back then? It probably was on par with Reals with Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets and later on Neymar and Suarez who formed one of the most deadliest striker trio in history with Messi. You have to be kidding to actually come up with something that stupid, like seriously. Man, you really can't make this dumb shit up. Can you stop initiating those cringy debates whether who is actually better? Just shut up already. These two changed football probably forever and will be remembered for one of the best players of all time. It really is time to stop those childish made up debates solely based on opinions whoever is the greatest and be thankful to have witnessed two legends of that caliber at the very same time.
If tap ins were so easy to score, why doesn't gabriel jesus and almiron score 35 goals every season, why doesn't jolinton score 35 in the league per season, if it were so easy? I think people hate halland because he oneshot the premier league record and is superior to all the players they thought were great, made it look easy. People acting like man city did not have other strikers like aguero who never broke the premier league record despite playing when debruyne was in his peak same, balotelli was playing for liverpool and only score 2 goals an entire season, and i know for a fact a lot of persons rate balotelli above halland, see how stupid that is? Point is halland proved their premier league is not all that he debunk their league on his first season, so instead of growing and learning and accepting that good footballers can be a star in multiple leagues including premier league, then instead choose to tear down and disrespect halland footballing abilities, i want halland to break even more records in the prem and smash their expectation into the ground and rub their noses in it.
Exactly! And you can say why havent player through history scored as many goals if it was easy. Also, Its not a tap-in just because its inside of the box either. He doesnt stand there and wait for the ball. You need to be able to read the game and run into the right position, often throw yourself into a challenge, trick the 2-3 defenders he always has around him and always stay at the right side of the offside line. Haaland is hardly in offside cause he always orients himself where he is.
I love Haaland mainly bc he gets all this criticism but he just keeps getting goals and all the haters can do is cry and also bc I am a bvb fan so it’s good to see him doing goof
@@pedtalkssports I love his physically and how he body’s defenders but his positioning is elite he has an underrated football Iq just like Inzaghi but Haaland is faster and stronger so even tho people will praise Inzaghi they will disrespect Haaland just bc he is fast and strong no one is talking about his best attribute positioning
@@gabrielguerrero3404yes I 100% agree, he isn’t bad he just never has to dribble or pass because of the tactical system pep uses and because the team already has really good playmakers
Sports coverage (especially the talk shows) is FULL of pundits who make "controversial" comments purely to rile up viewers and fuel heated debates. Who knows if they even speak what they truly believe? Their aim is drama, not balanced viewpoints and thoughtful insights.
In the UK sport is run on TV by sky sports major investors in sly sports INCLUDE major shareholders at LIVERPOOL & MANCHESTER UNITED - both floated on the stock market with different results . Uniteds profit since 2000s has been paying off Glazers eye watering debt .City have no shareholding means that the money works for the club not the investor sat in the bahamas. Ctys success has decimated both shareholdings & thats reflected in skys bias when it comes to pundits , studio guests etc .Always overloaded with United & Liverpool = who does co comms for all main matches ? Neville & Carragher .Push the shares is the underlying message , course its illegal to say on live footy " BUY SHARES IN LIVERPOOL " but the influence that Neville ( also a major investment portfolio holder & a Dragon on DD ) & subtitles have on people & their anti City Stance stands out . I live in the UK but use American & Panamanian streams to watch footy . I HATE sly sports
Before Haaland came to England, he was regarded as a superstar. Because it was Manchester City and not one of the media favourites he signed for, the knives were out for him immediately. As a Man City fan myself, I wouldn't swap Erling Haaland for any player in the world. He's scored against every Premier League club he's played against, adding Ipswich Town to the list last weekend. There's no big headedness with him, he's a team player and appreciates the players around him. He's a top guy to have in your team. The media in the UK has a lot to be desired of. Haaland keeps on giving it them back on the pitch though, which obviously hurts them.
As a Man Utd fan, I think people are mad, and i am jealous of this player over all of yours; perfect, no.9,people forget his age and seem like a super decent human being. When a team mate is fouled, he gallops over; absolute team player. Far better than Mbappe. Wife's a German from a family of Dortmund fans, so when he signed for you, I gave up on football for the next decade. 😂 Back to back hatricks already this season. Unbelievable generational talent.
Haaland is also not from what the English media rate as a top football nation. Nor does he has the "pretty skills" -- he gets an important job done the way he does it. Mo Salah has been underrated for years for the same reasons.
The amount of jealousy is ugly... Haaland is a striker and is doing his job better than anyone else. His first season, he made the PL look like a farmers league. A lot of butt hurt on that, and the jealousy gets uglier for each season.
Haaland is being critiqued for lacking what Heskey was good at and Heskey was critiqued for lacking what Haaland is good at. There will always be haters. The people who criticise Haaland are the same people who criticised Heskey for not scoring enough goals, even though he was good off the ball, creating chances and link up play.
Erling Haaland is the Jokic of Football. Western European guy who doesn't play super flashy but is insanely efficient so talking heads try as hard as possible to come up with a reason not to like them.
I don’t think Haaland is necessarily bad at doing the things he’s criticized for, he just shouldn’t do it. That was Man City’s problem the prior season to Haaland joining, with Jesus. City needed a striker who could attract defenders leaving space for his creative teammates and either letting them shoot from distance or delivering for him. This results in him not getting many touches of the ball but when he does he’s the best at putting it in the back of the net. Big games inherently happen to be when Haaland’s ability to lure defenses and not give him much space but give others room are crucial. People have to except that team play is more important than the individual.
exectaly these pudits dont watch city games saying we dont need him when it mattered the most city were struggling to get those clinical goals you wonder why we had so many setbacks in the ucl before he joined
Erling Haaland isn’t known for being the most atheistically pleasing player we’ve ever seen, his game isn’t as flashy as other players, but at the end of the day, he has been putting up insane numbers that are unheard of and he’s still 24 years old. He is one of the players in world football that gets criticism despite the fact that he makes his job look so easy as he is so consistent at putting the ball in the back of the net. Saying that he’s a tap in merchant and is only scoring goals simply because he plays on Manchester City it’s one of the dumbest arguments I’ve ever heard and some of the agendas we have towards him needs to stop. No matter what team he has played for whether it’s at club or international level, he has been scoring goals for fun. How many players are able to win back to back Golden Boots in their first 2 seasons in the Premier League and yet people consider it to be the most competitive league in the world and said that he would find it hard to score goals there than in the Bundesliga (63 goals in 66 games). 2022-23, he had 52 goals in all competitions and also broke the scoring record in the Premier League with 36 goals while winning the treble as in any other season that would’ve been enough for him to win the Ballon Dor since he helped them get over the line to win the champions league, last season despite missing games with injuries, he was the top scorer in the Premier League again with 27 goals, he had 38 goals in all competitions. I know people are going to say that “Manchester City has an elite team”, I get that when a number 9 of his caliber is playing alongside creative players like (Kevin de Bruyne Phil Foden Rodri Bernardo Silva Jack Grealish Jeremy Doku and now Savinho), he benefits from that, but on almost every team he has played for, he has more goals than games played. It took him 48 games to score 50 goals in the PL, he achieved a similar feat in the Bundesliga and he also has a staggering record in front of goal in the champions league as well meaning that he’s dominating the stat sheet domestically and in Europe. Even for the Norway national team, he has a great record for his country despite never qualifying for a major tournament with them. People think that a tap in is so easy to score but at the end of the day a goal is a goal, if it’s so easy to score tap ins and score goals on that City team, then any player will put up the similar sort of numbers that he has. When a prolific goalscorer is being surrounded around elite creators, he’s expected to score so many goals. His overall game isn’t the best since he’s not a great dribbler he lacks some of the basic fundamentals in football and other defenses have found it easy to nullify him when he plays against better teams, which is partly down to his role in the Manchester City team, you can’t argue against his numbers. He doesn’t get involved in the buildup play and he doesn’t create opportunities for himself meaning that on the pitch, he’s going to be a passenger when nobody passes him the ball. His presence alone benefits other creative players on their team and having him on the pitch creates a distraction since other defenses are solely focused on him. That’s an area of his game that he needs to improve there’s no doubt about that, as a striker he’s doing his job which is scoring goals and as long as he’s doing that and helping the team, it’s all that matters because at the rate in which he’s going, assuming he has that longevity and is able to stay healthy, he’s going to be one of the greatest scorers in football history. Will Haaland ever be the best footballer in the world, no, it’s possible that he wins a Ballon Dor, and as critical as we can be towards him, I think us as football fans need to put more respect on him.
Not to mention his other parts of his game aren’t even that bad 😭 like yeah he’s no playmaking forward but he doesn’t even have a terrible first touch or passing, Roy Keane said League 2 player but he really isn’t
That’s literally how you identify how good a striker is, how few touches does he need to get it i to the back if the net. And Haaland is the best at making you forget him and then put it the net with few touches. A classic number 9.
REALLY appreciate this video! In addition to your excellent points, Haaland has a better goals/match record v PL "Big 6" compared to some acclaimed strikers - per StatMuse*: - Haaland: 115.1 mins/goal | .75 goals/match - Aguero: 128.0 mins/goal | .59 goals/match - Henry: 152.4 mins/goal | .56 goals/match - Kane: 179.7 mins/goal | .48 goals/match - Suarez: 247 mins/goal | .34 goals/match Haaland v "Big 6" = 15g + 7a in 20 PL appearances* - ManUtd (6g + 3a) in 4 PL matches - Spurs (3g + 1a) in 4 PL matches - Arsenal (2g + 2a) in 4 PL matches - Chelsea (3g + 1a) in 5 PL matches - Liverpool (1g) in 3 PL matches So while I get the criticism that Haaland hasn't scored in a ManCity final (yet!), he did score in 2 Finals for Dortmund, and he has scored in some very big ManCity PL matches!! *Updated post Chelsea match 18 Aug 2024
I think that is the point though he only performs against average/bad teams he will score 5 goals against teams like Burnley but struggles to do anything unless it is a tap in or a pen just the truth. Without tap ins haaland scores 10 goals a season other players score in big moments haaland does nothing... haaland is not a complete player in any way all he can do is wait for a pass 5 yards from the goal. Never seen a player rely on others so much
@@JacobCash420how many times do we have to explain peps tactics to you guys In the huge matches the teams will defend him the whole time because he is the biggest threat goal scoring wise players like rudiger marking him the whole time allows foden kdb etc to be able to get shots off and score
@@JacobCash420 "he only performs against average/bad teams" - I personally would not call Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs average or bad teams, but I'll grant you that Chelsea & ManUtd have not been at their best recently. "unless it is a tap in or a pen" - Of Haaland's 15 goals v Big 6: - Arsenal (0 of 2 goals a penalty) - Liverpool (0 of 1 goal a penalty) - Spurs (1 of the 3 goals a penalty) - Chelsea (1 of 3 goals a penalty) - ManUtd (1 of 6 goals a penalty) So 3 goals of the 15 were penalties - I personally don't think all 12 of the other goals v Big 6 were tap-ins, but I can appreciate that you do. "just the truth" I provided sourced stats, but I can appreciate that you think your opinion is a universal truth 😉.
Halaand is a world class player these dumb pundits are acting like it is easy to score 50 goal a season ,even for playing in a team like city it is not easy to score that many goal
But dont you think some of it hits him too? He is just a young lad trying hard every day and still its not ever good enough. He is a human being and everybody wants to be liked one way or another. I'm scared that this is hurting him maybe more than he himself knows. I truly hope the team is supporting him to the fullest.
@@egoi6421 Obviously it hurt. No one can say it doesn't affect them, but that's why i praise his mentality, he shrugs it off and goes again. He didn't change his game by listening to his critics. He sticks to his gameplan. People will complain about the lack of true strikers in today's market and then bash Haaland for doing his job best.
Problem is with most fans and media who dont know that there are 11 players in a team and everyone has separate and distinct role....they want everyone to dribble like messi Haaland stays in the box waiting for a cross or pass everyone : bro does not presses, absolutely no link up play Kane drops deep Everyone: why tf he is playing like a defensive striker, finish the chances mate, do your job So, dont give a f what fans or media say....coz most of fans havent kicked football in their life....and most of these 'so called pundits' have had a terrible career
as much as i hate him as a liverpool fan i think we should all be honoured to be able to witness such a great goalscorer in our lifetime. very cool to have our neighbours in norway get such a good player as well. impressive guy
Only because he plays for Man City, it seemed like every team wanted him when he was at Dortmund. In Norway he is so popular. You will see kids with Haaland kits everywhere. And people always watching Man City games at sports bars, even though half the people watches it only to see Haaland score a bunch of goals.
Ppl forget the player he was at dortmund. He was brought to city for a reason. Score n score. Peps tactics just made him change his play. Ppl hating on him just hates because he has lived upto what he was supposed to be at city. U don't just get 2 golden boots in the only 2 seasons u have played n also get the cl golden boot. Bro was just this close to winning the ballon d'or if it weren't for messi's international campaign
We just finished gameweek 3 in the PL. Liverpool has scored 7 goals, Chelsea has scored 7... and so has Haaland. Wouldn't surprise me if Haaland outscores entire teams this season, like he did in 22/23. It warms my heart as a Norwegian Liverpool-fan that a Norwegian player alone scored more goals in a season than Everton did. :D
It's the same song and dance that I've seen when Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were at the peak of their powers, except that social media wasn't as mainstream and globally accessible back then as it is now. And this doesn't occur in just football, the greats are always placed under immense scrutiny in any field of entertainment. That being said, the media needs to up their game when it comes to their "criticism" against Haaland because he's being bashed for actually doing the job that was assigned to him - to be a consistent goal scorer.
He broke the Epl records in his first season and the English media loves glazing on how the epl is the hardest league itw, the simple answer is the media is manipulatin on fans to hate haaland cause other players first epl season wasn't a record and treble ❤
Haaland is a goal scoring machine.. doesn’t matter what anyone thinks, every football player is given a job to do by their manager, and he does exactly that, just a lot better than all the rest. Credit where credits due… don’t hate, appreciate… it’s unlikely we will see the likes of him again JMO
Takker, Zlatan Ibrahimovich.
The sentence "He is scoring goals at Manchester City, that is easy" really makes me frustrated and annoyed every time. Shows total lack of football knowledge. He isn't scoring goals and setting records because he plays at City, he has done that in every club no matter who has been his teammates, BESIDES, people who think it is easy being a striker at City should start watching City games. In half of the games they don't even supply him. How many goals would he have scored if they used his strength more (played him through so he could run and challenge defender), as they did at Dortmund and his other previous clubs? Also, Haaland has the absolute worst working condition out of any striker in the world. Why? Cause he always has 2-3 defenders close around him, and often when he gets the ball as a link up with his back against the goal, it impossible, cause the 2 defenders in his back has a much easier job sticking out a foot or just push him in the back. That is not where the ball should come. It should come in the space behind the defenders. He is actually making room for others when he attracts several defenders. They are afraid of him more than any other strikers. No other striker has it this way, it's much easier for other strikers to score goals, but still Haaland is the one who sets the records. Why do some people get so excited when a player does a dribble or is showboating, when two seconds later that same player loses the ball? What's more important, do that or score goals? There are other players in the team who can dribble if that's your thing, but few are as strong, quick and clinical as Haaland. Not every player can be like Messi. Haaland is also built differently. He isn't 1.68, light on his feet and weighs 70 kilos. He is 195 and weighs 90 kilo. And that «tap-in merchant» thing is so cringy. If it was that easy scoring goals like that, why doesn't every striker score as many goals as Haaland? I am not talking about the last seasons only, but through history? Because it isn't easy. You need to be able to read the game and run into the right position, often throw yourself into a challenge, trick the 2-3 defenders he always has around him and always stay at the right side of the offside line. Haaland is hardly in offside cause he always orients himself where he is. City needs to be better at using Haaland's strength when he creates room for the ball to be played through, and not only slow the attack down with their constant possession play. That's the big issue here, not that Haaland doesn't dribble past 2-3 players. Thats also the reason why some people say Haaland doesn't show up in the big games (which is of course a lie since he has scored against literally every team he has played). The reason why is because in certain games his teammates use him even less, and he cant score without the ball. Come on! The so-called football experts AND some football fans, get it together. Its actually embarrassing how you constantly treat Haaland with so little respect. Shame on you!
I used to hate how this guy was not sober in a final but now I'm cool with him. He has given City fans the goals of their dreams. He's a super goal machine. 23 hattricks for a 24 yr old player.
I don't like him 'cause he at Man City (I'm a Man Utd fan) still prefer him over Mbappe as he has a better personality because he more kind and humble than Kylian
You onow this new trend of people saying "just put the fries in the bag bro"? This is a perfevt example of someone doing that and people still have an issue with it. His only job is the put the balls in the goal, and nomone is more efficient at it than him tight now. Everyone coplains how there are no real number 9s in football and we finally get a potential GOAT for that prototype and people still find something to complain abaout. The guy is as proven as he can be at 21-22 years old, broke the PL scoring record, won the treble and people are still trying to discredit him. I'm pretty sure most people criticizimg him were told to "just put the fires in the bag bro" at an age where this guy was banging in goals in CL fixtures. There may be nothimg wrong with football, just the media tryimg to create naratives and people jumpimg on the vagon as if it is fact.
I saw a video here on yt but unfortunatly cant find it again. It was about stats for some of the top players like Messi and Ronaldo + others. They had worse stats when playing against the best teams. Its totally normal and logical because you meet better defenders/midfielders that can compete with you on a higher level.
The biggest "problem" the English pundits have with Haaland is that he isn't English it seems like, they still haven't learned how to pronounce his name ffs. Also, I thought that in football you try to take advantage of the best abilities of each of your players, Haaland is best as a box-striker so of course that is how he should be used.
All the Lovers Love Haaland🎉 what a Suprême Player, so many great goals!! And what a GREAT human👌🏼 Always always Always a thrill to see him walk on to the pitch❣️ May he live to thrive & continue giving us 😎Super Football😎 THANK YOU HAALAND ✨May the force be with you✨
If Haaland played for Real Madrid or United he would’ve been praised by everyone as the best in the world. He’s hated because he plays for his beloved Manchester City.
I refuse to be those people who love to attack people's weaknesses. Instead I'll be complementing people and giving credit where its due. Haaland deserves all the credit in the world for his goal scoring ability. I'm not waiting till he retires. I'm giving him his flowers today. Bro deserves better.
There’s an expression in Belgium that says “High trees catch a lot of wind”. Whether it’s Haaland, Mbappé, Kane, their game is always looked at with a humongous magnifying glass. Funnily enough they are just people who sometimes have a bad day.
“fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times” - positioning, speed, strength, finish. This guy is god tier
Haaland is not a tap in merchant as you all put it he is a lethal goalscorer and he does his job best I am a city fan and I hope he improves on his others aspects of game but I really like him he does his job perfectly
I dont understand why people hate him. Maybe because he decided to join Norway national team instead of England 😅. Haaland is a natural scoring machine, he has proven in epl for 2 seasons.
I have no idea why the hatred or dismissive comments. He's monstrous and he's a CHILD still in football terms. Not bad for a guy who's already won it all.
what they don't see.. for a player of haaland's caliber to take a step back and say "we have other players in the team that can create better chances then me while my role is to score goals" is so damn professional and nothing that should ever be held against him. i'm sure he can create for himself aswell but it takes so much for a superstar to be humble enough to let other do the job better instead of trying to proof a point to the media while sacrificeing some of his own role just to look "more complete".
Haaland is the most impressive big man in the box period. If a team takes advantage of that skill he will score more than anyone, but without good service he is just a big man. He is no Kane, Mbappe, or Messi and doesn't compare to them, but that doesn't really matter.
People hate Haaland because he's too good. If he were playing in Real Madrid he would be praised as the next goat or the greatest striker in today's generation, however it is how football fans think after all, they only know how to bring someone down and belittle them because they either hate the club or expect much more. For me Haaland scoring goals is satisfying and I hope he will break every goal scoring record and prove every hater wrong. Even though he already is proving them wrong.
I don't get why most of the people who think Guardiola is a genius and his system is great also criticize so much a player who is basically the poster child to this way of interpreting football. Haaland is absolutely amazing in his position and very defined role. And that's it. Under the strict system imposed by his manager he only needs to stay in the box, wait for a long pass or the disrupt the defensive line and score. Everything else he does is discouraged because it is detrimental to the style of play. The comparison with Kane and Mbappè don't work because they play in different systems and have different duties. It's like saying that a speed bike for olympic biking is worse than mountain bike or a touring bike because it isn't as flexible to use. It simply doesn't matter, because it is just going to be doing one thing
I have been a Liverpool fan for many, many years, and I don't hate Haaland at all. I actually enjoy watching him banging in goals. So do say everyone hates that young man 😊
At the end of the day you can play beautiful and be unstoppable but if their isn’t any goals their is no point because you win by making goals. So when people criticize someone for what he is supposed to do. It only means he is doing a great job
we're 3 games in now and the guy has 7 goals including his first hat trick of the season. I sometimes wonder if the other big clubs are funding smear articles and videos to try and break his mental game. Lad is absolute world class.
People don't understand his game at all if they want him to be more of a linkup Kane style player. The reason he's ALWAYS in the best position is because he's not involving himself in the buildup play unnecessarily. He's focused on his job: scoring goals. People act like scoring goals is easy and unimportant. It's the hardest thing to do in the game, and he does it better than anyone else. PERIOD.
Watch him playing for Dortmund, he was getting the ball deep and running at players, currently Pep has him playing a much deeper system which the good teams can plan for, shut off the supply, he should be allowed to play more freely the way Kane was allowed to with Tottenham when he basically went wherever he wanted. Another thing to remember about Haaland is he is a big lump and big guys cannot rack up the same miliage on their joints as the smaller/lighter players
He's not the most exciting player, he's just incredibly effective. He is also brutally honest about his own skills. Strength, speed and positioning are his game and he knows it.
As usual there are always double standards with Man City and the rest of clubs While other teams like Madrid are always overestimate in absolute everything and most of the players performance wise are just average but media and people overrate them af Meanwhile man city players are just good thanks to the system and Pep that's it. Even Haaland arguably the greatest striker by that age of all time and because he plays at City and it's just a monster of goals it's not enough, haters would say he just scored in regular games or just taps in but the reality is that he has scored against 95% of the teams Man City faced and taps in are not even the 30% of his goals
One thing all of them fail to comprehend is that Haaland’s proposition is to become a wrecking ball of a goal-scoring machine, and he positions himself exactly as that.
All peoples say Haaland is boring to watch. But he is not on the pitch to make fun. He is there to score goals as Pep ask and as his team need it from him. And he did score a lot of goals for Manchester City. All player play different as longer they still help their club to win. Haaland is about speed and strenght that make goals. Abd goals is what they need in the end. And he doing his job really well so no need to be toxic🔥
People has to realize football has changed so much. Each player has some duty to carry on. Well some players has got some potential to dribble the whole team but its not what you call football. Its a teamplay. Halland is simply going for his duty as a pure striker
Haaland is a good striker. Just an old school tall one. He's a clinical finisher and very good at it. Great anticipation, timing, good top end speed. You get the ball to him, he'll do the rest. He's not just a tap in merchant either. I do think there have been technically better and harder working tall men, but that's a lot to do with the coaching at City and Dortmund. So, yeah he's not my type of player, but respect to him.
No one scores like Haarland and that's his job full stop never mind link ups just keep scoring goals big man and don't listen to the background noise 💙💙💙💙👍
great video!
He's a classic no. 9.
He does his job best.
casual city fan, he can score but he has no skills. thats why we prefer lewa and cavani.
@@Monkeyz_ you didnt see him at dortmund?
@@Monkeyz_ he can skill. just look at him at dortmund. its just that pep has a system which is very limiting

I’d rather have Haaland being able to get his job done straight to the point, than having Antony being a fidget spinner.
Tap in ❌
Good positioning ✅
Some people need to understand that
"tap in merchant" pisses me off. He's a "correctly using his body to get in the right position and when called upon can finish clinically" ... merchant.
Good timing as well
Really though they act like what he does takes no talent. If it was so easy everyone would do it.

@@mr_j9207 And yet another cringe debate started by a comment who praised CR7 and Messi at the same time. Also, Messi didn't have a good team at Barca back then?

This is spot on ngl
He is just the best No.9. He is the best striker. Simple as that!
Spoke like a real footy
exectaly these pudits dont watch city games saying we dont need him when it mattered the most city were struggling to get those clinical goals you wonder why we had so many setbacks in the ucl before he joined

Finally u made a video about this thank you ped♥️
REALLY appreciate this video! In addition to your excellent points, Haaland has a better goals/match record v PL "Big 6" compared to some acclaimed strikers - per StatMuse*:

- Aguero: 128.0 mins/goal | .59 goals/match
- Henry: 152.4 mins/goal | .56 goals/match
- Kane: 179.7 mins/goal | .48 goals/match
- Suarez: 247 mins/goal | .34 goals/match
Haaland v "Big 6" = 15g + 7a in 20 PL appearances*
- ManUtd (6g + 3a) in 4 PL matches
- Spurs (3g + 1a) in 4 PL matches
- Arsenal (2g + 2a) in 4 PL matches
- Chelsea (3g + 1a) in 5 PL matches

But dont you think some of it hits him too? He is just a young lad trying hard every day and still its not ever good enough. He is a human being and everybody wants to be liked one way or another. Keep scoring Haaland! Don't mind the haters 🤷♂️
Kane hasn’t won his team a title yet and he’s over 30. Haaland is way ahead.
Yea love haaland❤

I'm pretty sure most people criticizimg him were told to "just put the fires in the bag bro" at an age where this guy was banging in goals in CL fixtures. Never understood the hate. Sticks to what he's good at and does a great jobl
what they don't see.. for a player of haaland's caliber to take a step back and say "we have other players in the team that can create better chances then me while my role is to score goals" is so damn professional and nothing that should ever be held against him. i'm sure he can create for himself aswell but it takes so much for a superstar to be humble enough to let other do the job better instead of trying to proof a point to the media while sacrificeing some of his own role just to look "more complete".
Chelsea fan, I love and respect Haaland.. wished we signed him
Barcelona fan, same
Haaland is the most impressive big man in the box period.
Exactly. A victim of his success.... I'm a Chelsea fan and it's heartbreaking to see the negative comments he gets 😕
So do say everyone hates that young man 😊
He deserves the respect to his name bcuz he is creating history...I mean give him his roses while he's still alive you know.
At the end of the day you can play beautiful and be unstoppable but if their isn’t any goals their is no point because you win by making goals. So when people criticize someone for what he is supposed to do. It only means he is doing a great job
Haaland is the best striker in the history of the Premier League!!!
we're 3 games in now and the guy has 7 goals including his first hat trick of the season.
PERIOD.
what a clown, claiming kane is better than haaland just because he is from england. kane is not even 10% of haaland
bro looks so much better with short hair
Haaland: My job is to be in the box.
Teammates: Be in the box Erling.
Haaland: Goal!
I hate City. But I love Haaland. He makes me praud to be Norwegian 🇳🇴
Haaland was loved before he came to City, people just don’t like City players
Leave the guy alone, if hes that bad I'll happily have him at Dundee united, joking aside the guy is class 🏴 🤝 🇳🇴
As usual there are always double standards with Man City and the rest of clubs
While other teams like Madrid are always overestimate in absolute everything and most of the players performance wise are just average but media and people overrate them af
Meanwhile man city players are just good thanks to the system and Pep that's it.
Haaland will finish the best striker in history. He will have more than 1 goal per game in his whole career. One of a kind
I love him hes the viking from the fatherland
As long he scores the most, he is the best. Once his production goes down you can argue other strikers that play better overall game are better.
