Honestly it’s sad to see people not giving the credit he deserved ppl always makes up excuses as he’s nothing without kdb n only scoring tap ins wish sum ppl actually watch futebol instead of tt
Yes, if scoring tap-ins was so easy, why does nobody else come even close to scoring that many goals? Idk why so many people want to pretend that he is not phenomenal. Maybe they are having withdrawal symptoms from Messi and Ronaldo easing into retirement and they’re not ready for another star who might break their records?
@@dronesclubhighjinks Just a theory on my part, but I believe it comes down to one simple thing; he's just not a conventionally attractive man. And that people overvalue international football over club football doesnt help. The Norwegian football federation is quite frankly inept. Bring in a manager from a bigger league already. Solbakken is fine for Norwegian club football, not for a team with two of the best players in the world.
@@omologo95 interesting ideas! I agree that being from a footballing powerhouse country would be better for his reputation as unfair as that is. I just checked online and Solbakken said he’ll retire as Norwegian manager after the 2026 World Cup. Or, if they do not qualify, he will retire before then. As for being conventionally attractive, Haaland at least has the advantages of height and a powerful build, and natural very fair hair which maybe 1% of the world’s population has. Not sure if the long hair is doing him any favors, but it adds to his distinctiveness. Maybe it helps to antagonize his critics lol . I think Messi is very average looking. In wearing street clothes, he does not look like he’d be an athlete (this also applies to Daniel Craig and Toni Schumacher). Cristiano Ronaldo is model-gorgeous (like Pierce Brosnan) which is probably pretty annoying to a lot of men, especially as he seems to really cultivate and flaunt that look. Messi seems approachable. I’m not sure about Haaland though.
you wanna know why people dint appreciate him enough ?? BIG GAMES,he is a ghost in BIG GAMES,he is one of the best striker of this last 5 years but its big games that put him way below Messi and Ronaldo
First of all goals are at an all time high so you cant even use stats from the past to compare to now. Second, not all goals and assists are equal. For example an okay player can score a lot if his team is really good, it doesnt mean hell do it in a different context. Assists are also subjective because they only count when the player scores. If you have 30 chances created, but only 15 assists it doesnt tell the whole story of your skill level. Goals and assists are a solid metric, but it seems like people online exclusively look at goals and assists to determine a players value. A midfielder for example should not be judged by goals and assists. I feel like people only think Rodri is good because he scored a few famous goals, but if you look at advanced metrics he really is a great player outside of his goals. Likewise a midfielder like Modric has very few goals and assists, but what makes him great is that his talent allows you to have control over a game. Its very hard to take the ball away from him, and his passing allows your team to move the ball into an area that leads to goals. These passes will not show up as assists, but without them your team struggles to get the ball into dangerous areas.

Haaland has been neutered Several times in both English Prem and Champions League. Inter Milan reduced his pitch presence down to trying to stare the Keeper out. Funny to watch. His size is his only advantage.
