In addition to being a complete physical specimen, Haaland's mental capabilities could perhaps be greater still. He celebrates his teammates' goals and efforts, doesn't complain or get frustrated (or if he does i haven't witnessed that), and his ability to overcome / forget missed opportunities both within and in between games, without them eating his confidence, seems unparalleled. Laser focus on what is essential. If he stays healthy and grounded in both body and mind, his unmatched versatility might just lead him to, as insane as saying that sounds right now, seriously contend with the records of Ronaldo and Messi.

I doubted his abilities until he went to Dortmund when I saw his playing style in Dortmund his pace, physicality, finishing, positioning I knew he is the next big thing in football
Haalands trick to stay focused on his job and not let any gossip or comments this way or the other affect him is... meditation. It calms him down and powers his concentration and self esteem. His sometimes lotus position as a goal celebration is a hint to that. So he is not only physically strong but mentally too.
Incredible player, generational talent. But honestly, this really puts into perspective just how ridiculous ronaldo and messi were in their prime. We really took those geniuses for granted.
As a Dortmund fan I wasn’t surprised at all that he would have such an instant impact at City. It wasn’t really any different when he arrived at our club. In his first match for Dortmund we were down 3-1 away at Augsburg after around 60 minutes. Haaland came on and scored with his first ever touch for the club just 2 minutes after being substituted! He scored 2 more and basically turned the game around all by himself which resulted in us winning 5-3. In the next few games he scored another few braces here and there including one against PSG in the Champions league which meant he didn’t even give the media a chance to doubt him for just one moment. The rest is history...
Didnt start believing he was legit until 2020/21 ngl 😂 But he was a beast in Dortmund. Maybe he doesnt play as beautifully as he did there, but the goals are coming in even easier bc of man citys midfield
Not R9. R9 was renowned not just for his effectiveness in front of goal but his dribbling and skills. R9 is one of the greatest dribblers. Haaland is not like R9
At the time Messi did 91 goals he had the arguably best midfield the world has ever seen. Xavi, Busquets and Iniesta were probiding him with many balls+he could dribble the entire team and score. I don't think that this record will be broken soon
As I've said to friends before Haaland was EPL bound; Pep will "limit his participation" so as NOT to have him SMASH all EPL records; But he still Will!!😎
For some time now, I've had Haaland and Mbappe as the greatest Footballers this decade. Haaland is Exhibit A why you CANNOT use World Cups to gauge the greatness of a player. If Cristiano Ronaldo can't win a World Cup, then Haaland is all but certainly never going to win one, and his only fault is having a "bad passport". Had he been born Brazilian, then it's a different story. But this man is a goal-scoring machine who has kept scoring and scoring until all doubters have no choice but to start to believe.
Haaland is amazing but it honestly goes to show just how insane Messi and Ronaldo were in their prime. Looking forward to what Haaland does over the next decade.
Still some people call haaland tap merchant first seasion woth msn city league scored 36 goals. All competition was 52 goals played huge role city winning ucl snd treble
Crazy how there’s so much hate for Ronaldo now thats hes gotten older but the people praising haaland for how hes been performing dont realize that haaland would have to perform like this for his whole career to ever reach Ronaldos status
The only thing we "hate" is people who can't talk about Haaland without constantly dragging in other players. It makes me dislike both Messi and CR7 that you always do this.
For the time being it seems like the Haaland vs Mbappe debate is over. It also seems like there won't be an indirect rivalry between them like Messi and CR7 had. Not unless Mbappe increases his pace tremendously. You can't afford to play the diva unless you are as good as CR7.
I remember when he scored 9 goals in one game with Norway as soon as I saw the highlights i followed him on Instagram cuz i knew he'd be huge... He's a freak
As a Liverpool fan I'm deeply saddened that we went to Salzburg and signed Minamino instead of Haaland because of their respective performances against us☹
There are soooo many players that start from minor leagues with incredible stats and go to top leagues and don't fulfill expectations. Even if fulfilling, they surely don't make the numbers they made in minor leagues, for reasons shifting from psychological pressure to heightening of competitions. Haaland, however, gets better EVERY SINGLE SEASON. It's scary, he's a scary player. This guy could do insane things. Damn, with Norway national team getting better and better every year, he could even win an historic European cup. This is really a Ronaldo kind of phenomenon. With him being this good, it's even difficult to think about a rivalry like there was between Messi and CR7, no one can match him at this state of form and age, there's just no competition when Haaland is in the talk.
Norway doesn't have defenders or keepers. You need at least a spine on GK/CB/CM/ST to win a championship. In the 90s we had good keepers and defenders but no quality strikers, now it's the opposite. If Martin and Haaland could play with Rune Bratseth, Erik Thorstvedt and Ronny Johnsen we'd have a shot. But they can't.
Great video but he wasn’t the first player to score a Hattrick as a sub, Lewandowski had one in 2015/16 when he scored 5 in 9 minutes coming on at the half
He did not break Van dyke, all you need is a big strong defender with a bit of pace and good positioning and he is stopped, nothing special really just a very good Alan Shearer esc striker. If he gets a Ballando'r for pulling people over and roughing opponents up, I will stop watching Football.

For sure, but Mbappe is better tho ;))
@@footballstories. Is he? I think they are two completely different players and cannot be compared.

Haaland passes when there's an opportunity and he's happy to see his teammates score. For me that makes him a GOAT because at that level your only enemy is your ego, and that clearly isn't a problem for him
At Haalands age the only players I can think who are better/on par with him are Lionel Messi and Ronaldo Fenomeno.

@@antiwokehuman his shots are deadly accurate and loaded with power. Much more than a tap in guy.

I discovered this guy in fifa 19 career mode, when he played for Molde. From the first time i used him i fell in love with him. His pace and strength made him unstoppable. Was very surprised that he would be the same in real life.

We witnessed a lot of rising star that only shine less than 5 years, what make R7 and Messi great was their consistency for more than a decade and they aren't even striker. I have a doubt we will see another monster for the next couple of years, but then we have Haaland he destroying defender in one of the best league in the world. I hope he can stay consistent and healthy 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼.
If he stays healthy and grounded in both body and mind, his unmatched versatility might just lead him to, as insane as saying that sounds right now, seriously contend with the records of Ronaldo and Messi.
he seems to be one league above the other players. his obscene physique and strength combined with near godlike ability to stike with both feet and an unbreakable will to score makes him some sort of anime protagonist on the field these days.
Dude is an insanely athletic specimen. He would have been amazing at any sport he chose.
It’s crazy how good Messi and Ronaldo were, this man has the world under his feet and still, with the smallest margin might beat these records, I’m going to miss Ronaldo and especially messi 😢😢

As a defender there is not much you can do against him and I'm sure even tall and big defenders struggle to just throw themselves into him as they may injure themselves by doing so. The power Haaland has is unprecedented.
Need a defender like Araujo, big strong and most importantly fast. Not saying Araujo can stop him but that type of defender can have the most chance to contain Haaland
All this and hes not even settled in yet.. i mean hes just new to the team and building team synergy. SICK
Haaland is well on his way to win the Ballon D’or next year ESPECIALLY if he can cap off his amazing season with a Champions League.

Harland is currently one of the most entertaining players to watch. You hear that he’s starting and your just thinking of how much damage he’s going to cause in that pitch. Like everyone is saying, as long as he stays healthy and in form he’s going to grow. Hopefully he’s not paying attention to the records and stats, because honestly it could get into the players head, look at mbappe. Has everything to be one of the greats, probably will be the best striker ever.

As someone who is starting to get serious about following the premier league I'm amazed by Haaland, absolute nightmare to any defender or goalkeeper.
he was the first player in my FPL team, had him from day 1, knew he would be a beast
@@RaymarFootball 2019/20 was a big bang breakthrough for Haaland

Pep guarding Messi‘s record that he accomplished under him on god 🤣 exactly why he didn’t play him against kopenhagen
Hopefully a 20 year career
Can't la he just full straight run hope his teammates pass to him in front the goal and tap in so easy
If his teammates selfish do not pass to him he is nothing
Unlike Messi can dribble and solo play, can defend tackle, can free kick goal, can assist pass, corner

The difference between messi and Ronaldo is the Spanish league basically only has a few good teams, and the rest are a joke.
Haaland ain't a monster,he a robot smh
Great point
Norway doesn't have defenders or keepers. You need at least a spine on GK/CB/CM/ST to win a championship. In the 90s we had good keepers and defenders but no quality strikers, now it's the opposite. If Martin and Haaland could play with Rune Bratseth, Erik Thorstvedt and Ronny Johnsen we'd have a shot. But they can't.
Great video but he wasn’t the first player to score a Hattrick as a sub, Lewandowski had one in 2015/16 when he scored 5 in 9 minutes coming on at the half
+ he is so damn humble. We can only love this guy

dortmund sold him for 60 million. it should've been atleast triple the amount
Also remember Man City also had to pay millions for the release clause.
He did not break Van dyke, all you need is a big strong defender with a bit of pace and good positioning and he is stopped, nothing special really just a very good Alan Shearer esc striker.
If he gets a Ballando'r for pulling people over and roughing opponents up, I will stop watching Football.
