This PSG team has the exact same problems as the Galácticos. A team full of stars and talent, but very poorly managed. Fun fact: Florentino resigned because, in his own words, "I've spoiled the team". But while Madrid is a serious club, I don't think PSG can learn from these mistakes because of the lack of real ambition
@@jamaalsjourney It feels like they just buy players because of their value and marketing. They're not a serious project, you can see it in the player's attitude!

Totally agreed with what you said. You can clearly see how their playstyle is based on individualities and they lack an overall team consistency. They are not a team, they are 11 really good players running inside the same field.
They are 11 different players Messi Neymar are luxury and possession based player while gueye gini danilo are all counter attacking players and everyone knows midfield wins u game this was coming for a long while u can’t just play counter attacking and hope that one of Messi mbappe or Neymar pulls u out of trouble psg need a word class midfielder if they want even a chance of competing for the champions league
Big names that have more influence than their own coach and most management is a recipe for failure not only in competition but also in team togetherness.
That there is Mbappe's failure. He won't be that great either, for example transferring to a new club Messi should assert his dominance by commanding the respect of his team mates.
@@liongordel9088 I do think with time, he will. Making PSG his legacy will make him an all time great in his home country. I'd stay at PSG till they win the champions league personally. That one would mean more than 3 or 5 at Real Madrid
Also psg tends to fall apart very easily. It has happened multiple times in the champions league. Example is last year with Real Madrid, the year before that with Man City. Nobody can forget what happened at the Camp Nou.
Messi's heart just isn't in it, at Barca he was basically playing every position, creating defending and attacking but at psg you can just tell he doesn't even wanna be on the pitch. This season could be different from the last but honestly I think it's highly unlikely
probably because hes playing with selfish players like pbappe. The dude has messi on the edge of the box in crucial moments almost every time. Messi’s positioning is elite but other players care about their egos more than winning. That’s probably why messi is so discouraged with psg. At barca players like alba is always passing it to him. It sucks seeing messi like this man it rlly does
No one should be over the club. If a club begs for a player to stay. That team is done for. Simple as that. I know there is someone out there that’ll fill in the shoes with ambition n passion to grow. Creating good players is where it’s at.
As a Tottenham fan, it was Pochettino’s system. He never let the front 3 play fluidly enough. The emphasis on maintaining shape and width in the press doesn’t work with 3 overlapping, in-cutting forwards.
I feel like a big reason is how most of the players on PSG are world class star footballers, like Neymar, Mbappe, Messi, sergio ramos, etc. Even though Messi is not much of a selfish player, some of the other big names, will do what they can to flourish their ego, hence putting themselves first before the team
The front three doesn’t make up for the rest of the team. Messi, Neymar, and mbappe actually performed and played well, but PSG’s back four was absolutely HORRENDOUS last season, which was even more apparent during the Madrid second leg. If the defense steps up, psg will win 🤷🏾♂️
Exactly. People love to blame the big names but the attack and even the midfield which needs some improvement did really well vs real. Real basically got completely destroyed the first leg but courtois pulled out an insane performance so they only scored one. The 2nd leg they started the same way but then first donnarumma completely bottled it, and then marquinhos, the one who's usually the most reliable gave away another goal for free. Mbappe, messi, and neymar are all doing great. They work well together and deliver. But a team is more than just 3 attackers
Madrid second leg is something Luis Campos should take note on what defense he's gonna coach, they are solid, but often as fragile as glass. that should be his priority in psg
They surely have the players but the tactics and how the Coaching staff use them will be the key. I can't see why people doubting Messi's ability these days. It just crazy!! No need to kill one star for another to shine.
@@ChrisChras To be honest some people get their joy from tearing down others. They can't do shit but they sit on their ass and chat rubbish, make useless and unfair comments
if you look at psg defense its a total mess, first I thought that the players are not up to standards but as I think about it am starting to think that they are just not organized and I think that too falls on the manager which as we all can agree on was not doing a good job but at least this new one gives us hope
Once again a great video!I agree with every point you have said except that Messi was average. Messi is looking average only because PSG is built around Mbappe and Mbappe alone completely and even when Messi is in clear positions to score, the selfish players of PSG don't pass to him. Even Messi passes to Mbappe at every opportunity he gets. It's just like Xavi and Iniesta providing for Messi at every opportunity back in prime Barca. If they focus the play more on him,we all know what he can do. We are talking about arguably the greatest player of all time. So sad that he had to leave Barca like that without even a standing ovation in his last match😢.
Hazard for Real Madrid was the worst signing in football history. Change my mind. - Cost: 115 million euros - In 3 seasons: 66 games played, 6 gols and 10 assists.
He actually only has 8 asisst. And one of those 6 goals was a shot from Kroos that bounced on him😂All that, plus he has one of the higest wages in world football
Do a video on Uwe Seeler please. He just died hours ago and was the 2nd best german striker of all time, but barely any people know hin. Would love to see it
I remember my friends constantly making fun of me of not backing PSG to win UCL. I never backed this team because I knew that just owning big stars is not going to win you a UCL, there needs to be chemistry and that’s what PSG lacks. I wonder who was really laughing after that Real Madrid game…

There is another factor: the Ligue 1 is full of low quality teams, and much easier to win than the other main 4 championships. If you face the likes of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Villareal every week, of course you're gonna toughen up and up your game. PSG get to play Marseille and Olympique at best... That's because they were playing bad teams lol, They struggle against teams that fight for the ball, because they literally don't have any players that press for the ball, especially their front three. I mean you can manage with one luxury player, but with three? You'll always struggle even if you're in the final of the UCL
@@alibarznji2000 facts but I do think pochetthino also couldn’t handle that front three let alone the whole squad and I’m glad they changed coaches but hopefully next season we see great improvement in the team
Good points on the video, what really let's down psg in big games is not just the mentality but their defensive frailties become even more apparent. Psg and man City are glass cannons, yea they pack a punch but they're very easy to break and have no resistance to sustained pressure. Even with winners like donnaruma and navas in goal, the midfield and defense simply fall apart and well with the 3 biggest egos up front, they're not putting any defensive work really so the team is more or less short handed whole game
The only way to defend with Messi and ney on ur team is to always attack. Push numbers very high so if u lose the ball you lose it in tight spaces that can be closed down quickly. Don't let anyone except Messiand and veratti take risks in the deep midfield. Once you let the game devolve into chasing and counterattacking, psg are done.
I think you hit the nail on the head with no3 they play at about 70% of their best in the league. When you compare that to top teams in England and Spain that have to be at peak performance even vs supposedly weaker bottom half teams. When they enter Europe they're at their peak always whereas PSG have to jump ip 30% from their normal to compete and this is where they fail in my opinion.

Personally i think last season was expected, psg sighed a bunch of high profile players who have been at their respective clubs for a long time. It takes time to adapt to different players and systems and that was what last season was. . But this season they look very different and motivated, all the headlines are on other clubs with big signings like manc, barca, bayern, etc and suddenly theres no pressure on psg as everyone sees them as ‘failure’. . Idk if PSG will win ucl for sure but i would defo expect them to come very close this coming season
When Neymar first signed with PSG I was as a fan disappointed he ever came to this team. I never believed he would win the champions league playing here and so far this is true. After this disappointing defeat at the World Cup i hope something changes for the guy so he can return to winning trophies fans care about
I really hope Messi does well this season at psg I want to see him back at his best! It’s not like he’s declined u see what he does for Argentina it’s like the normal Messi but psg are such a mess they managed to make him worse. Hopefully next season Messi is better and psg can start playing like a proper football team not a marketing business.
I agree whatever you said. You nailed it. Including Messi who is great is not as passionate as he was when he was playing for Barcelona. But he is still great. But the trio comparison with Brooklyn Nets is a little bit off. The Brooklyn trio played only 26 games together I guess and still won about 20 games. So their chemistry was good. They were all injured At different times and couldn’t play all the games together and still qualified for play offs and beat Celtics with ease. The comparison could be better if it was compared with Lakers. Lebron, Westbrook and Davis. They didn’t even qualify for the play offs. Westbrook is never passionate about playing basketball just like Mbappe
Don’t agree on mbappe’s case he wanted to also stay in he’s native country of france which he also has passion for people make assumption on he’s decision but don’t know what’s he’s thinking in terms of passion he was the only performer troughtout the season with neymar and messi by he’s side carried the team as much as possible even against madrid
Thanks @Raymar for such a quality contents. Spot on analysis - PSG is in big trouble. I like Mbappe, very talented player, but looking past the financials, that’s too much power in my opinion .
This could be a content idea but maybe how clubs started up (cause you brought up how psg was relavent because of oil money) great content keep it up!!
With Luis Campos appointed, PSG is no more signing big names. We've seen with their new signings (Vitinha, Renato Sanches(pending, Skrinar(pending). I think they've also taken account of how weak thier midfield was and how the team needs to be a family hence the new strict rules by the hierachy. I would'nt write them off. The only problem I have is Neymar, he is going to be the weakness of PSG due to his childish tentrums of screaming and getting angry when tackled. Teams will know how to destabilize PSG through getting under Neyma's skin. Watch
luis campos does have a *lot* of work to do, if successful, PSG will be the first french side to ever win the treble, maybe even the first team ever to win it consecutively. they have the talent for that (i personally find them better than madrid 2016-18), and if they get their stuff together, they will do it
PSG is like a FIFA Ultimate team you make when you get lucky and get really good players from all different teams and nationalities with all red chemistry.
Give it time the top 3 are literally the most exceptional players in the world with the greatest ever being a part of it. The rest of the team especially under this manager is looking real good.
Just spouting nonsense, virtually every form of media except Madrid twitter sources said madrids offer was essentially the same. The only difference was Mbappe by bringing a UCL to paris and by refusing Madrid to stay can create a new era in French football. Think about it why leave to just be a piece of madrids history when you could have the chance to create a great history for psg but for League one in general
The striker chemistry is just now started to click. It took too long because of Mbappe'. However there's no chemistry in the midfield and defense. Great players, avg team.
i feel like they didn't do that bad... winning the cl is insanely hard and takes skill and a little bit of luck sometimes ... its almost a miracle anyone wins it at all XD... they really could do better but there are 30 other teams that don't win the ucl every season so... its not the end of the world for them... so far
True but they couldnt win any other silverware besides the Ligue 1 title. They got knocked out on domestic competitions because other teams who are nowhere near better just wanted it more and played with more intensity
Potchetino did well at spurs but the thing is the team is too star studded and everyone wants to be the main man so poch is trying to incorporate them all
Thing is Messi is 35, Neymar 30, so the MSN magic being recreated to the same deadly level was not possible cz neymar now injury prone, Messi doesn't have the speed of old and not the same deadly finisher anymore, only mbappe is at a time of his career where he can be doing incredible things. Plus the coach could not bring the team together, too many star players and not the right coach to make them a world beating team.
Isn't messi a much better shooter and finisher now? I admit all my knowledge of footbal of last 5 years is youtube clips(although alot of them), it's true that he hasn't the same speed and agility, but passing and shooting seem much better in the last 3 years(maybe not so much the last one)
@@risteastefan300 Lol messi has the worst conversion in Europe last season. His shooting drastically decreased (coming from a messi fan). His passing and playmaking is fine but not like the Barca days.
@@arvindkugan9667 He has an xG of 9.8, meaning he shoots a lot from range, ofc he's gonna have a worse conversion rate when he doesn't get much clear cut chances. Ofc time catches up to everyone and he's gonna decline with his old age, but the drastic decline in his goals was not due to the aforementioned.
The problem with such a front line is that everyone (except Messi) wants to be the one who scores all the goals. Messi is the only one i believe doesn't have such ego because he happily assists and only scores himself when necessary.
As a Real Madrid fan I still find it really sad that they won’t pass to Messi. Both Neymar and Mbappe has really high ego. They will never be on of the highly respected athletes
I honestly despise Mbappe. There’s no doubt that he is a more than fantastic player, most likely to take Messi’s and Ronaldo’s place as the best player(s) after they leave. However, he is clearly very immature and egotistical. And I think that’s a bit problem with the team, considering he basically owns it now. I have more thoughts on the situation but no time to write them down right now, but that’s my biggest problem with PSG.
You pretty much nailed it. And Barca is facing the same problem this year. The real issue is making these elite players put their ego aside and play as a team. Levy sure will score less without a Müller …just wair
At the start of the season 21/22 everyone was hyped by PSG signing Messi, Ramos, Donnarumma and Wijnaldum. All the people thought that PSG is going to be unstoppable and will dominate everyone. I was the only one who said that PSG won't be stopped by any other team because it will stop itself like all the years before. Back than, people thought that I'm crazy. Turned out that I was 100% right.
In my opinion, they should never have offered him that money & importance just to keep him. He stayed for money & prestige. His passion is & will remain for RM. Messi on the other hand doesn't nor did he ever get motivated by money or fame. He is a passionate player & has always been. He went to PSG to win. That's his passion. He loves the game.. he was inspired by the winning project that the team needs & wants the UCL. He's a passionate & innovative player & will always be, because he has the right winning mentality to be a champion for the team he plays for. He plays for the team, not himself....
7:34 exactly the same and they all were great players and now they got swept by 4-0 by a normal season team😢 Kevin Durant's career ended, James Harden got worst even he got traded to 76ers, Kyrie lost his skills
Even this quality "on paper" narrative is false. Messi, Neymar and Serio Ramos are "has been", Hakimi is a Madrid reject. The only real exceptional future quality i see in that team is Mbappe but he will never develop as a player in that circus club. PSG has a very average midfield, defense and goalkeeper. Even on paper clubs like Real Madrid are far better, from attack to the goal keeper.
Way too many big egos in one locker room and not having a strict coach to keep them in line is the main reason why PSG underperformed. I feel like with Galtier as their manager for next season they will do way better.
I hope Barca can get Messi back somehow, that team was tailor made for him and vice versa, all Barca newbies were coached on how to bring the best out of him, it shows you the layers of difference that becomes visible in terms of coaching. PSG is a waste of his talent tbh, no offence to PSG fans
It wasn’t even a super team tho, I don’t see world class midfielders, besides veratti but is always injured or underperforming in the big games so far I saw when Messi came
Couldn't disagree more, football is played with 11 players. PSG was (is) simply not a team that was assembled with a coherent plan behind it, which makes it impossible to coach, it's kind of like Real's Galactics. Throwing an absurd amount of money at the highest profile player every transfer season regardless of fit is the problem. Does Messi really make sense in that team?
@@RaymarFootball fair enough 😅 It's just that as a fanboy I can't help to think that Mbappé's choice to stay and basically turn into Cleveland's LeBron could change the culture
Well we all know PSG has problems but what is important is that they try to fix those problems to the best of their ability and it might not happen overnight but it can happen but one essential thing they need to get a new manager
It's just sad that world class players like Messi & Neymar were wasted because of Mbappe, Pochettino & the desperate & failed PSG bosses. How I wish things had been different for the South American duo.
PSG is feeling the lack of competition. If the league was like La Liga or EPL, no other team can match up to it's potential. Even Bayern players faced competition before joining. They don't buy players to earn money but to dominate. PSG does not want to dominate, they are just a fancy club to showcase fancy players and flex money. Galacticos still had much more passion to win than PSG
What competition did Bayern face? Bayern dominates bundesliga even more than psg does ligue 1. The league competition argument isn’t correct. How does that even happen? How can that happen? (Of course the referees in this match was questionable, but still.) 2019 had a 2-0 aggregate against Man U and somehow got eliminated in the 2nd leg. Again. 2020 we know they lost the final. Where they only had to play 1 leg. Can’t bottle if you play 1 leg right? Psg can only make the final if there is 1 leg. And they still Simply can not win. Last season against Madrid psg was up 2-0 aggregate with 30 minutes left in the 2nd leg and somehow someway got eliminated in the end after Madrid scored 3 goals. You’d think if psg choked up that aggregate lead they’d still go into extra time at least, but no, they completely bottled and lost in 30 minutes. Psg can dominate. But they choke. You will never see psg absolutely get fully overperformed, but they choke. You can expect psg to be up 5-0 in the first leg and you can bet in the 2nd they will somehow get eliminated. Its crazy, it’s like this club purposefully fixes it so that they lose from a comeback, and specifically in the last minutes, lmfao. Always on the other end of a movie like comeback story, at this point no psg lead is ever safe. Mbappe has the unique opportunity to lift this team into stardom. It would mean more for his career, then going to an established Champions League contender like Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City, Bayern Munich.... And PSG should stop bringing veteran star players who are there just to score more on their bank accounts, and concentrate on bringing in some young promissing talents....
True I always thought the lack of a project was a big reason for the crumbling of PSG every year. No real style or identity because stars with different profiles were always in and out. Mbappe and Ney are the first real identity PSG has ever had. Building a system around them and knowing the game plan can eliminate a lot of nerves and uncertainty when things get hard. All they need now is a good solid manager to not get fired one season into the job

Yup they need a respected and strong manager who won’t take shit and set a clear strategy
That there is Mbappe's failure. He won't be that great either, for example transferring to a new club Messi should assert his dominance by commanding the respect of his team mates.

Messi's heart just isn't in it, at Barca he was basically playing every position, creating defending and attacking but at psg you can just tell he doesn't even wanna be on the pitch. This season could be different from the last but honestly I think it's highly unlikely
messi in barca :(
Imagine barca plays psg next season
probably because hes playing with selfish players like pbappe. The dude has messi on the edge of the box in crucial moments almost every time. Messi’s positioning is elite but other players care about their egos more than winning. That’s probably why messi is so discouraged with psg. At barca players like alba is always passing it to him. It sucks seeing messi like this man it rlly does
He literally used to give his heart out for Barcelona. It's obviously not the case with PSG.
@@TheofficialGodofwar lol, messi wouldn't even put 20% of his full potential if he and his PSG plays against barca
Messi is the most selfish one 😂

Facts
Madrid second leg is something Luis Campos should take note on what defense he's gonna coach, they are solid, but often as fragile as glass. that should be his priority in psg
the match was basically mbappe neymar and messi vs madrid
Agreed, that’s why it’s a team sport. Relying on attackers cannot make you win the game. You need to have a well balanced and formulated team.
They surely have the players but the tactics and how the Coaching staff use them will be the key. I can't see why people doubting Messi's ability these days. It just crazy!! No need to kill one star for another to shine.

Yeah I should have talked more about their midfield and defense flaws, but theyre far from bad in those positions!

Honestly, if the champions league was 1 leg psg would have already won maybe even 2 ucls at least by now.
Yes was wondering when a new one was coming! Love ya bro hope you're well keep killin it!
appreciate the kind words brother 🙏
PSG best opportunity to win the UCL was 2020 and this year. I can’t see them winning soon I would have loved/like to see Mbappe win it even after what he did to Madrid 😂
I don’t watch Ligue 1 much, even more so of PSG. But when I think about the club, it always feels like the players play for themselves while the rest of the players in the world play for the teams.
I agree with everything you said. I do have to say tho, Messi is probably discouraged with the club because hes playing with selfish players like pbappe. The dude has messi on the edge of the box in crucial moments almost every time. Messi’s positioning is elite but other players care about their egos more than winning. That’s probably why messi is so discouraged with psg. At barca players like alba is always passing it to him. It sucks seeing messi like this man it rlly does
I think that definitely is playing a factor in Messi’s performance for sure
First, PSG should take back the amount of access take gave to mbappe.
Second, people should stop crying about players that have a good mental health and make good decision and therefore try to support PSG.
Third, PSG lacks chemistry
lewandoski, pogba, veratti and camavinga even was a model in the fashion week in paris 22🤣
when neymar attends he is not committed enough😂
hahaha tbf I was lazy with that footage part but it has been reported he’s losing commitment. I personally wanted him to lift UCL trophy and motm in 2020
It’s Raymar-sama!!! 💯💯💯
Mbappe has the unique opportunity to lift this team into stardom. It would mean more for his career, then going to an established Champions League contender like Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City, Bayern Munich.... And PSG should stop bringing veteran star players who are there just to score more on their bank accounts, and concentrate on bringing in some young promissing talents....
an opportuniy of 5 years and counting. not very unique after 5 tries
@@elizabethcsicsery-ronay1633 who said anything about Messi lol
They should play a 4-3-3 with Messi CF to score goals and drop back to play a false 9 and Mbappe and Ney to feed Crosses and passes as wingers
did you hear their new managers tactic? play 3 at the back line 😂
Everyone please stop saying Barcelona is in financial crisis. Look at who, and how much they’re spending.
That’s like saying a drink is going sugar free, but has high fructose corn syrup.
Look at the debts, you can't fake those, Barcelona is not a private company. The Real Madrid mole - Bartomeu fucked Barcelona. Fact check before you speak.
well as they have said for decades money doesn't buy happiness and psg fans should know all about lack of that
This is the REAL Reason Why PSG’s Superteam FAILED: mbappe
