I remember the comment I made last year in the legacy of failure video. While some points (mostly the actual players brought in) have not aged well, the overall message of it has. It still is depressing as hell that Paris, despite not playing well, will still dominate my league and be an embarrassment in Europe.
I thought that maybe, I spoke too soon. With a new sporting director and a new direction in player recruitment, maybe just maybe they could turn around a corner. But the years go by and the feeling of déjà vu is still there. We've been in this place before.
The day the tie was announced, I knew Choupo Moting & Kingsley Coman were gonna score against PSG. Football makes poetic justice possible.
You also have to mention how freaking good Stanisic and Upamecano defended Mbappe. Great defense from Bayern

I mean i can't count how much PSG had loan or sell a player then having those players excell at team that can develop their players(ex: Kingsley Coman, Choupo-Moting, Alphonse Areola, Mike Maignan, Christopher Nkunku, Leandro Paredes etc)
I think the reason Mbappe performed so well in the first leg against bayern wasnt solely because he's a world class player, but because he is a world class player getting subbed on after 70min of bayern defenders already dealing with Neymar and Messi. They were tired while Mbappe was still fit so Mbappe looked simply unstoppable
Good video Maqwell. PSG is the living proof that having a stacked team means nothing without chemistry or team identity. Until PSG get a glimpse of consistency with their coaching they'll surely perform in the european level (hopefully).

Projects take time to develop like you said and clearly their attackers aren't the issue, the main issue is management and that hideous midfield. If they get actual serious good midfielders start playing like a team they could actually win the ucl but with the current ones & defenders (except Ramos) there's 0 hope and no way they could
It's not so easy. You have to remember, those three up front did not contribute to defending whatsoever. Nowadays team plays with press v counterpress, can't do that effectively if you are -3 by default. Even during Real Madrid's years of dominance with BBC. Only Cristiano was allowed not to trackback and defend (he still did sometimes). Bale (later Isco) and Benzema all help with some semblance of defensive duties. Same thing with Liverpool famed front three.

That’s what psg lacks the midfield do nothing for the attackers 0 creativity & just clownery all around. Get some good ones like they used to have and things will get better. Bayern is pretty much the antithesis to PSG. As much as I hate to admit it, but Bayern rarely misses with Transfers and they always make sure that every penny is well-spent. This includes Team chemistry and depth without overloading the squad. Admittedly, depth was their main concern a season ago and still is concerning a Lewandowski replacement. But all other areas on the pitch are covered twice with world class players.
