For real 🤣 a lot of parents want the "grandparent" rank, I know. But even when I was a kid, if I started crying, my grandparents handed me back over to my parents! Everyone wants YOU to have a kid so they can interact with them for 15 minutes until it's inconvenient. Don't fall for it.
Agreed. To my surprise when I tell people I never been married, or don’t want kids, more than a good handful of them said “That’s smart,” or “They’re not that great anyways.” Or “Is that why you look so young?” And these are the same people who have both marriage and kids! 😆
It isn't overpopulated, the populations just condense in certain areas. People choose to live in cities then complain about how cramped it is. People act better when they have space. It's the behavioural sink. Affluence and condensed populations wreck havoc. And resources aren't distributed evenly. There is a concentration at the top.
As a woman who have decided to never married and never have kids I'm tired of people telling me that women can never be truly happy until they've become a mother. He still wanted a relationship and I told him, this is a deal breaker…how do u not see that this is a deal breaker??? Some people will continue relationships in hopes to change their partner’s mind and the person who doesn’t want kids may stay in it not realizing that their partner is accepting “no kids” for now but will be so unhappy, bitter later because you their partner won’t give them what they want. The truth is everybody is selfish regardless of whether or not they have kids. I am too. But you have to be selfish to get by in life. It doesn't mean I don't care about anyone else.
I'm the same way. I'm GLAD that I don't have kids. In that, I'm able to do whatever I want whenever I want. And life is A LOT easier without kids. I don't have to work as much and I could get by on a low budget. And to those who say that if my parents didn't have kids, then I wouldn't be around, to that I'd say: GOOD, because then I wouldn't have to worry about dying.

It makes my heart sad to hear when you said "we're criticized for it" because not having children is a form of sacrifice for Mother Earth who is overburdened with billions of us. I never was in a position to be a parent and I have been tortured by it. I just hope people realize that those of us without kids can still hold our ancestors in our hearts, without adding to the Earth's burden. Peace and Love

@video man Video man, I am saddened by all the hate we have today in our world. We all only get one life to live and I sure do not understand why people spend their precious gift of life hating anyone or anything. I will leave you with this thought I recently just really understood and have been living my life this way for a while now. Yesterday moments in life are all gone and paid for, cannot redo them. Tomorrow moments may or may not come to us as we envision them to be so why worry about them. This leaves us with this very moment we are in right now and since this is the only moment that we have why waste it doing anything negative, why not enjoy this one moment to the best of our ability. I do not understand when everyone else only has the moment they are in why they would waste their one moment of time hating anything in life because if they do they are wasting their entire life. Be safe my friend in your travels and be sure to make memories. Darrel
@John Freddy exactly. As a single man with no kids, it’s not like I set myself out to hate those with families. Many of them seem like nice people. It’s the ones that preach to you to have kids or you ain’t a man types and there’s plenty of those.
It took me forever to admit to myself & others that I don't wanna follow social programing. I've been a child & young adult behavioral therapist for 12 years. I've worked with 100s of family's, and children simply are not for me. I feel like men have been conditioned a child is the only way to have a legacy. And women can birth "create" many thing, besides what she can push between her legs . Obsession over having a child prevents you from being able to think beyond than what is given to you
Thing is - dna dilutes and fragments over time anyway. We dissolve into the gene pool. In a few generations time - dna evaporates into nothingness anyway. "legacy" doesn't exist.
The most ridiculous part about this subject matter is that the reasons people give for why we would have kids are all selfish reasons. “I want someone to take care of me when I’m older”. “I want to continue my family name”. “My kids changed my life for the better” All those reasons are “I I I, me, me, me”. These clowns swear they’re so damn virtuous when the reality is they’re exactly what they accuse us of being -- selfish.
For me, no kids means more money to charities. It can mean being a close uncle/aunt/big brother or sis to other people's kids that need a role model. It can mean being active in your community or church allowing you to volunteer more and help others when those with kids are unavailable. People with no kids are a blessing.
People that see their mistakes call people like you selfish, but us that don't have and don't want kids see you as a trooper for not giving in to the stupidity of society

Everyone's concerned if you have kids but no one asks if you are happy 🤷
For real 🤣 a lot of parents want the "grandparent" rank, I know. But even when I was a kid, if I started crying, my grandparents handed me back over to my parents! Everyone wants YOU to have a kid so they can interact with them for 15 minutes until it's inconvenient. Don't fall for it.
Many married people aren't
Agreed. To my surprise when I tell people I never been married, or don’t want kids, more than a good handful of them said “That’s smart,” or “They’re not that great anyways.” Or “Is that why you look so young?” And these are the same people who have both marriage and kids! 😆
Facts

Being a parent isn't for everyone,
Being in a relationship isn't for everyone.

I don't mind being in a relationship but I don't want kids
Some really shouldn't be allowed to reproduce.
You stole those words out of my mouth.

On a overpopulated planet with depleting natural resources, having no children is the most "SELFLESS" act one can do!
Agree
It isn't overpopulated, the populations just condense in certain areas.
People choose to live in cities then complain about how cramped it is.
People act better when they have space.
It's the behavioural sink.
Affluence and condensed populations wreck havoc.
And resources aren't distributed evenly.
There is a concentration at the top.
It is overpopulated. There are species going extinct right now because humans are encroaching their natural habitat.

As a woman who have decided to never married and never have kids I'm tired of people telling me that women can never be truly happy until they've become a mother. I am truly happy being single and child free and I'm grateful with the life I have right now. Wouldn't ask for anything more and certainly wouldn't ask for kids.
I have never had anyone tell me that. Who exactly is saying that?

@@makefoxhoundgreatagain842 The shot they gave me hurt. The procedure didn't hurt cause I was numb down there but still totally conscious. I walked out of there and went home. I did it on a Friday morning and went back to work Tuesday morning. I was still sore but working and walking.
@@DigitalLoom It's just as good. I said a little more but my comment got censored.
I had one too. Best decision I ever made. No regrets.
I personally feel like the only people that should have kids are the ones that have the time, character, resources and disposition needed to take care of them. If that criteria was applied I think overpopulation would be solved instantly. Perhaps our species would not have survived through the ages with such a logical approach, but either way we don't have to worry about survival of the species right now, as you mentioned.
I hate to say it but I was unable to raise my kids because of everything you said. It is called self respect and love your kids to be able to provide for them. Thank God they had a grandmother. Me and their father were alcoholics. Dont get me wrg I love my kids and I sobered up but I wasnt a good parent.
Definitely
Thanks for being candid!!
This is a very good argument..
Yes!! Amen! That's why I'm childfree and I'm so glad that youtube has accepted creators like Tim and I for childfree videos to raise awareness within the community and abroad ❤🤘
I'm female in my 60s. Never had kids and I'm happy I didn't have to go through that.
Congratulations 🎈. Thank you so much for sharing
Not bringing children into this world is a noble act.
"No children should be begotten, so as to spare them the pains of life."
Having kids cause of society pressure is wrong. I’m in 60s…..I have no more filters. I say what people think but afraid to say. I should have never had any. Their costly, and rude. 😳 they don’t listen. I was way to young. I wasn’t at all prepared for them.
People want you to make the same mistakes they did so they don't feel alone in their decison. Sad.
Selfish????? Not one kid who was Ever born had Any say if they came into the world or not. The Selfish ones are the Parents!!!!
Misery loves company and most people were not brought into life out of love but out of selfishness and irresponsibility. I turn 40 next year. No kids and a single man, you can’t put a price on peace of mind.
I’m 28 single and don’t have any strong desire to have kids. I just want to have a wife and I’ll be good.
I don’t have any kids and I think it’s because I am selfish. I like to do what I want when I want…that’s probably why I’m still single too lol. Seriously it shouldn’t matter I think people should be able to not have kids and people with kids should be fine with it or keep their comments to themselves
🎯
Nothing wrong with this at all. The problem would be if you had kids and had this attitude. Folks just mad with us that are childfree because they drank the Kool-Aid, thinking it was an expensive wine. LOL
The truth is everybody is selfish regardless of whether or not they have kids. I am too. But you have to be selfish to get by in life. It doesn't mean I don't care about anyone else.
@@msfullroller 😂🤣😁
Having kids is responsibility.
I don't have kids. I love love love my freedom
Having my own children:
Undesired
Unnecessary
Unwanted
I'm the same way. I'm GLAD that I don't have kids. In that, I'm able to do whatever I want whenever I want. And life is A LOT easier without kids. I don't have to work as much and I could get by on a low budget.
And to those who say that if my parents didn't have kids, then I wouldn't be around, to that I'd say: GOOD, because then I wouldn't have to worry about dying.
Your first childfree video is how I found you!
Im female, 33, sterilized, married almost 11 years. We just bought 30 acres in the Appalachians and love to hike and roam whenever we feel like it. We keep bees and hunt, garden, mountain bike, and other wilderness fun.
This is the best life ever. We’re certainly criticized for it, but it’s a small price to pay for complete freedom and peace.
Cool, I think many people have kids because it`s an ego thing. I am child free and very happy.
@@damian-795 People also believe that they will have a big happy family full of joy. Many times it doesn't work out that way.
Sounds like heaven
Wow I wanna have your life when I get there
I'm 40 single childfree and loving my freedom.
I dont care to be remembered or have the idea that kids would be a caregiver / Guardian to me in my senior years. I take great care of myself and I plan on keeping it that way.
It's selfish to have kids because nobody asks to be born. By the way I choose not to have kids either.
My childhood was messed up that's why I was so scared of having children.
Yep....I'm 53.. no kids and single
Tim, as a father of two grown children and a grandfather of three grandchildren, I think you are acting very wise by staying in your own defined lane in life. MIstakes arrive when we try to run in a lane we are not designed for. You are doing an amazing job running in your lane in life, keep up the good work. Darrel
@@celesteperezmora8159 Thank you
@video man Video man, I am saddened by all the hate we have today in our world.
Lets go half on a baby beautiful
@@mumiaali4821 You are not going to half carry that baby or half give birth to it, so how are you going HALF on anything?
The most ridiculous part about this subject matter is that the reasons people give for why we would have kids are all selfish reasons.
“I want someone to take care of me when I’m older”.
“I want to continue my family name”.
“My kids changed my life for the better”
All those reasons are “I I I, me, me, me”. These clowns swear they’re so damn virtuous when the reality is they’re exactly what they accuse us of being -- selfish.
You missed - I want children to play and have fun with and take places, and I want them so I can mold them into an image of myself.
EXACTLY!!!!
Kids are a way to distract them from their mental disorders that they will pass onto their children.
For me, no kids means more money to charities. It can mean being a close uncle/aunt/big brother or sis to other people's kids that need a role model. It can mean being active in your community or church allowing you to volunteer more and help others when those with kids are unavailable. People with no kids are a blessing.
I agree Austin!
In my case, it's an unwanted lonely dog from a rescue center given a loving home.
I knew since I was a child that I didn't want kids. Never changed my mind and am perfectly happy without them
Having children is a personal decision period!!❤️❤️❤️
Yeah forcing people to have children sounds like rape
I hate when my in law mother told someone i couldn't have kids ti someone. I had to tell the other person its a personal choice not to have kids. 😤
People that see their mistakes call people like you selfish, but us that don't have and don't want kids see you as a trooper for not giving in to the stupidity of society
Your not selfish, you're responsible
