IT WORKS. YOU DONT HAVE TO EXCERCISE OR GO TO THE GYM TO SEE RESULTS. My advice is to BE BUSY so you cant even eat. For example time flys by doing INSTACART, DOORDASH OR UBER/LYFT. So you have NO TIME TO EAT. Also occupy yourself with lots of activities to DISTRACT YOU. LASTLY I love how the APPETITE AND HUNGRY disappers. I no longer crave food more than once a day. I also feel MORE ENERGETIC and VIRBRANT. Im so energetic and vibrant people actually think IM SO MUCH YOUNGER.
That’s amazing! Did you go back to eating a normal amount of meals once you reached your goal weight? If you did, are you able to eat things like added sugars and carbs (in moderation) without gaining weight?
Only having to prepare one meal means I put more effort into it, and want a better quality more nutritious meal. Multiple meals often just meant beige frozen food in the oven, stuffed down my neck without any thought.
So i agree with you there!! I still have a wine i still drink coffee with 1 suger and still do takeouts i been on omad for 5 days now sofar lost 2kg and i dont even feel like im dieting. I do get hungry but waiting till its eating time is the reward for sticking to it. Im currently 104.8kg and going down fast!!!
I heard about your site on another RUclips channel. The channel was focused on frugal living, but the person leading the channel was on a weight loss journey. She was totally enthusiastic and encouraged by your channel and your process for losing weight. Although you have many great videos, the most convincing aspect on your site is the personal stories of all of the people who have joined similar journeys, each one individualizing the program to their own lifestyle, each one eating different foods tailored to their tastes and preferences, and all thankful that they adopted this 'lifestyle.' I am starting my journey today. As you cautioned in one of your videos, I am going to give it plenty of time to work-----I didn't put on the weight overnight, and I shouldn't expect it to come off overnight either. I am going to take it a day at a time. Journal my weight and how the day went, in general. Expect plateaus but keep going!! I will also gauge my success by the way I feel---do I have more energy, am I sleeping better, am I starting my day with a positive, hopeful attitude. . . Thank you for sharing your life that these wonderful stories with us. It also reinforces the fact that we are all a little different and must set our plan to who we are in order to be successful. Take care.
I have an idea I'm trying. Might be something you can try for fun. I made a spin wheel on a app to see how big a plate to eat on that day for. OMAD.. I have another spin wheel on Sunday to see if i should have a splurge day or not. Different wheels like that. Making a game out of it.
I just started OMAD 4 days ago. I am starting to feel more energetic already. I'm in the mood to exercise a little, so that should help too. I'm trying to get a decent amount of protein in, since it's only one meal.
I lost 2kg sofar in 5 days thats 4lbs i dont count calories just eat what u want but be as healthy as posible it will benifit in the long run also i give myself a hour to eat in that hour is my chocolate my dinner and a wine or what u wanted obviously be as healthy as possible but its not the end if u experiment i ate takeouts last night and still dropped weight this morning i ate alot but stuck to the 1 hour window and next meal is on the same time as the last meal to give it the 23 hour window. If you change times its ok just do the next meal on the same time as the last meal to see better results. You will get hungry but thats ok it make you enjoy your suppers just that little more 😂😊
I love watching your videos! Im trying but I’m struggling with it so I’m starting with 2 meals and it’s a bit easier for now I’m hoping I can still lose weight with that
Her way may not work for you, I tried the eat anything approach and it didn’t work for me but my son eats like normal once a day and loses a steady 5-6 pounds a month.. I had to watch the type of carbs I was consuming and replaced them with fatty substitutions like butter, nuts and fish. Stay away from bread, pasta and rice if you’re having a rough time with hunger, those are the worse and you will have a hard time making ketones.
Another option would be coffee in the morning, have a nice lunch so you are not hungry all day. Have a coffee in the evening instead of thinking about food, then go to sleep. Worst case, you have a banana or something if you need it. Still basically OMAD. I prefer a nice lunch daily. I understand if you have a family and you want to eat at the same time though.
Then that is not OMAD. One meal a day is only eating that one meal while having no other food or snacks during any other part of the day. You do what you want, that's fine, but don't call it something that it's not. Hope you have a blessed day ❤
@ledyba57386 I know the difference. Some only recommend OMAD 5 days a week, so having a small 2nd meal 2x a week would be good for the metabolism. I said, "worst case," you have a snack. That wasn't the main point of my comment. The point is having lunch instead of starving all day, might be easier for some people.
@@Seraphina_Atley I mix coffee with decaf to blend the strength I want. I have found coffee to be a good distraction from food. Depending on the time, it could be decaf.
I started OMAD a week ago, my starting weight was 92 kg and now its 88kg😮. Is it possinlble like this!!!!!! Im wondering. For OMAD Im having mixed items in different combination ( ragi dates smoothie, millet yougurt rice , horse gram, eggs ( prepard with coconut onions etc), banana, lentil (ragi, green gram, red lentil) dosa with coconut or tomato chutney etc.
Hunting game and eggs and meat is practically pure protein the carnivore diet is based on that yes you can get enough in if your unsure get some protein shakes and supplements. Drink lots of water!!
Well... keeping glucose low and insulin is inevitable with OMAD. I track my BS being insulin resistant. Most days, my BS doesn't get all the way to baseline until like 3 pm. So... I've noticed I actually feel better eating a balanced diet at my OMAD too. Not too low carb. It's interesting once you expirement on yourself and see what works for YOU!
How do you deal with hunger? If you are eating only 1 meal a day, wont you eventullay stall in your fat loss phase? Than you start counting calories? It was not very clear how do you find the amount of food you need to eat in one meal to be sataitey and still lose bodyfat.
The hunger passes. You learn that hunger is not a signal to eat immediately. You can drink to get rid of it. I normally have a black coffee in the morning and water the rest of the time. Typically, your meal contains the calories required to either lose, maintain or gain weight which you can work out using a TDEE calculator. For example, I track my calories and eat 1300 a day and this helps me to steadily lose weight. At first, I needed a large window to eat so 18 hour fasted with a 6 hour eating window. Now I can eat my meal within 30 minutes and fast until I next eat the following day. I no longer have cravings and now understand the feeling of my blood sugar dropping and recognise that this doesn’t mean I need to eat again.

are you female? i tried OMAD for 5weeks but i had to stop coz it delayed my period so much for 60days.

Are you OK? I'm imaging to meet you in RUclips somewhere in another year
@shnmco I was on omad for 4 months before and lost 40lbs. My period came normally each month.

This makes me feel great , I do it when I work…saves money buying lunch..
It's also free, lol. That's my favorite part.
So true!
Omad works really good. I do it consistently for a month then do omad 5 days a week and 2 meals 2 days a week.

Did 16:8 for a year. Plateaued about 7 months in. Weight is almost all back. Trying again later and stopping about 5 months in.
Might need to switch it up
O.M.A.D FTW!! 😂
16:8 was much too large of an eating window for me. Try 20:4, maybe throw in a 36 or 40 hour fast once a week.
@@Seraphina_Atley yea i do the 23:1 time frame yes your tummy grumbles a bit but man i enjoy the meal time so much more 😁

It was the big weight loss that changed it.
Any advice on beating the hunger pains other than drinking more water?
Just ignore it, eventually it will go away
@Sopaz13 unfortunately it makes me so nauseous and gives me migraines... makes me sick

I cant do omad cause im always hungry, even after the big meal a couple hours later im hungry again
How many calories should I eat a day on the omad diet?
It doesn't matter. Just eat a healthy plate until you are full

If you are able to have milk ,Replace one of your meal with 1:2 diluted milk with turmeric. It will help you to keep full.

Magic? Make sure you eat enough protein at your meals and you'll eat enough protein. - J.R.

Yes you need to eat protein in that mal like Tuna,Eggs,Chicken or just have a protein shake
