I am staking my life survival on OMAD and intermittent fasting. So far I have amazing results. I’m down from 362 to 280 and my A1C is down from 15.4 to 5.9
Dear Kayla, Your wisdom of learning mindfulness through your morning reading and eating OMAD is so inspiring. I feel like your videos add so much to my learning experience; how to practice being present and the golden ticket for so many sufferers like me - How to maintain weight loss. When I am feeling like my weight will come back or this is hard… I listen to your channel and it is all possible again and even fun. Thanks for lifting me up.
Thank you Kayla.....I appreciate key take-aways from your content as I contemplate a well planned maintenance period, very soon. "What is measured gets mananaged", and I will, for the first time, start daily weighing with "the specimen weighs X today" mindset. I have OMAD down, as I have been repeatedly returning to it for close to 5 years. But have always abandoned my plan once maintenance begins. Not this time. I am going to take the long view with 6-8 week reflections on the weight trend like you suggested. I feel surprisingly confident even though the longest I have ever maintained was 4 years. And mostly never maintained at all! Thanks again! Keep posting....your messaging helps!
Good morning from Lake Tahoe ❤️I am so incredibly happy that you currently still make videos because your wonderful content, information, and inspiration has turned my life around 😊I used to struggle with OMAD but not anymore, thanks to you. It’s tho ONLY way of life that works for me!
Kayla I am in a pickle. I have been on OMAD for almost 2 years and I love it, but no matter what I do I overeat at every meal. I can be totally satisfied and still want more! I think I’m just anticipating the next day without food and indulge completely. I do exercise almost 2 hours daily so I know my body needs a lot but I still hate that I can’t stop! I need more willpower. During the day I don’t have any trouble going without food. It’s when my window opens that all bets are off, and It’s not always the best food in the end. Although I always start with a healthy salad and meal before I take in the treats. It’s just an abundance of food.
@@hard2getitrightagain314 thank you! I have tried broadening my eating window before with 2MAD but find that once the window is open, I have a hard time stopping or eating the right foods, so maybe an alternate day fast like you said could be the answer. I’m an all or nothing kind of person, which is why OMAD usually works well for me. As long as I don’t eat like a crazy person 😣
@@healthhollow7218 it's a addiction behavior. You need to detox. Today is my alternate day fast #21 and while I would enjoy eating something, it has been weeks since I have lost control at meal time.
Honey when you exercise too much it actually raises cortisol and hunger hormones is not healthy and maybe you should add some more fat to your meals ,doing intense exercises makes you hungry because you're burning through sugar not fat sorry to tell you that walking burns fat or low impact exercise
This was very helpful. I especially enjoyed hearing about what you do when you feel hungry. It’s so true that we have to stay busy. That is something I am definitely doing. But there have been a few times when my hunger got the best of me. I am flexible with the amount of hours I fast so usually if I’m too hungry and it’s close to time to eat then I just go ahead and allow myself to eat. But the reassurance that being a little hungry is ok and it might be a sign that my body is burning fat definitely helps 💗
I embarked on this next phase of my journey yesterday. I’ll give you a short overview of what I’ve been doing. Three years ago, I found a book written by a neuroscientist that discusses food from an addiction standpoint. It is called Bright Line Eating. I managed to lose 108 pounds in a little over a year and for the most part I have kept it off. But I occasionally see my weight start creeping up and I realized that there’s a piece of the puzzle missing. I started doing intermittent fasting with two meals a day 18:6 around eight months ago. Yesterday I decided to start OMAD to see how this would work as maintenance. Thank you for this video. I found it informative.❤
I started doing OPAD [ one plate a day with one caloric beverage] with my group of fasting friends on my channel. With OMAD I can stuff too many calories in that in that one hour. Then once a week we can have a splurge hour with no restrictions. The more advanced people fast twice a week. We have monthly challenges but I think we will continue doing OPAD. Can you do a video on OPAD. If so give me a shout out.
Kayla, its been a while, but I have always enjoyed listening to you, but it would be refreshing to "watch" what you did in your day. Also, it would be nice to listen to you interviewing others.
Thank you for always coming up with something fresh every time. I love breakfast foods and as it suits me to have an evening meal for my one meal a day I never thought of having breakfast foods at that meal: it never occurred to me to do that and I do really miss them. You have inspired me yet again, and thank you very much indeed! ‘Variety is the spice of life’ as the saying goes!
Thank you!! What are the portion sizes of your meals on your one day off fasting (was it a 12 hour window you eat in that day)? So, is it 3 small plates, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, without having seconds? I’m so used to doing OMAD and enjoying it, I’m concerned it will be challenging to eat 3 smaller portions now that my body is so used to eating one large meal. I’d LOVE your advice! Thank you for blessing us with your kindness and care!!!
I respect your position on what you believe. It seems you are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Keep up the good work. It's all about loving people and loving Jesus. from Rocky Martin. Goshen Indiana, USA. God bless.❤
To me, part of the secret of maintaining the proper weight- within 5 pounds- is weighing every single morning about the same time. I like the red, yellow and green light system. For example, let's say you want to maintain a weight of 150-155 pounds. So you get up one morning and you're 152 pounds. Think of the yellow light as in ''caution, proceed with care'' The next day you see 151, follow the yellow light again. The following day you see 150, think of the green light (GO!) to eat what you want . The next day you may see 153. That will tell you to think of the red light. STOP overeating and just cut back. Let's say you reach 155 on some days. Then practice the red light until you get where you want to be. Just follow this system day in and day out to remain in the goal range that you've set for yourself. It's really kind of fun too! Hope this all makes sense!😁
Really enjoyed the video! I’m assuming that you are still walking 6 miles a day, you didn’t mention your exercise routine in this segment. You still look great! ❤️
your half and half is 20-40 calories.. this is breaking your fast. Try black coffee for consistency. By not having a black coffee, your putting your body out of autophagy
Kayla lost 80 pounds and has kept it off for nearly 6 years drinking coffee with half and half during the fasting window. Sustainable weight loss was the goal and it worked.
Hello🐎🦓🦓🐴🐎🐧🐧🐧🐕🐶, 🐦 God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy and Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Jesus sincerely to be God's childJohn 1:12. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that BELIEVE on HIS name." That is great news! Will you sincerely receive Holy, Lord Jesus into your life today

You need to fast every other day for two or more weeks
Complete water only fasts. You'll feel your binge cravings lessen.

That was a good video. Sounds simple enough. You're right about snacking if you're not keeping busy and away from the cupboard.

Hi kayla thanks for the motivation!
You answered one of my questions couple of weeks ago. Thank you for encouraging me and for big tips.

Hi Kyle, wonderful content. May I ask, I've been practicing OMAD for a week now and I'm constantly cold; any tips?
greetings from Austria
Maybe check to see if you’re anemic?

Thank you. Very helpful and motivational.

Can you get all the nutrients you need in one meal?? (protein, calcium, vit C etc…?)

How do you work OMAS around having a family and considering their meals?
How do you know your getting enough protein?
Most likely isn't

I know u can eat what u want but what is a typical meal u eat when u do eat for your meal? Do u get hungry?
This will work even if I eat one regular meal a day that includes carbs?
This is helpful. Thank you
I do the same you do. except no cream in coffee. which I miss
Thanks Kayla, I don’t see a join choice?
It's available now
So when you reach your weight goal do you stay on OMAD?
Mostly OMAD. - J.R.
Eat at 6PM.
A healthy balanced meal
I have no people to eat with but I like what you say because it is like me and trying what everyone else says doesn't work for me.
I notice weighing myself makes me gain weight every time I’m trying to lose weight.
Wts half and half
Are you orthodox? My husband and i left pentecostalism a few years ago and have been strongly considering converting...
We converted to Orthodoxy in July of 2021 and have not regretted a single minute of it! The truth is there. - J.R.
Nice backdrop.
Do you still walk?
I am worried about putting half-and-half in my coffee and breaking my fast
I want to do it but I always get hungry and cave in😢
Maybe this video will help. ruclips.net/video/QUX6Y2jVQbM/видео.htmlsi=xNRzbWIeF-b-lBfo - J.R.
